In today's uncertain and stressful economic times, many of us could use such a personal guide to help us navigate through the myriad of big and small personal finance decisions we have to make each day. So my goal with this site is simply to share ideas and insights to help everyday folks become more savvy, make better personal financial decisions, and to empower people to take control of their finances as opposed to let their finances control them. The articles on the site can range from simple tidbits of content in heady areas like real estate and investments to more mundane everyday topics like budgeting, credit card use, and money-saving tips, but are all designed to be practical. About the Author As a Harvard MBA with an undergraduate degree in finance and real estate finance from U.C. Berkeley, I'm fortunate to have benefited from the best business and financial education this country offers and have learned from many successful people who are extremely savvy with their personal finances. I've also been an executive in companies ranging from Silicon Valley technology start-ups to a Fortune 500 financial services company, so I have first hand knowledge of what it means to exercise good financial management from both from a personal and professional standpoint. But most importantly, I've been able to achieve some measure of success in my own personal financial management and I like to share some of what I've learned with others. As a firm believer in the "wisdom of crowds", I will also look to share ideas inspired by others and over time, my hope is that this site can also become a forum and exchange of ideas for anyone who visits the site.
