We just moved and I am overwhelmed by how much stuff we have! My savings goals will be to buy absolutely nothing, design wise, for our home. We need to use what we have and I have had some very good ideas for repurposing things. This ban on new stuff should help us save for some needed repairs/updates our new home needs.
My husband's favorite is Roll Through the Ages. My kids (DS9 & DS12) like Pecunia Non Olet (Money Doesn't Stink) because it's about toilets. I like the card game Fluxx. Chinese checkers and chess are regulars, too.
I'll reuse old shirts and jeans that have seen better days by cutting them into squares and using them as emergency dish towels or rags. Even a handful of old clothes that you never really liked will soak up that spill or clean your windows and mirrors. (Or another hundred uses.)
Toss in the trash and not having to worry about wasting paper towels.
Dry dog poop scattered in the plush carpeting. The realtor showing us the home apparently had not been to the upper floor or simply pretended it wasn't there. The double-glazed floor to ceiling windows that led to a roof deck were fogged with moisture in the middle of summer, and the huge pool of stagnant water under the house when the water table was high.
I cant sleep. Ive tried everything from milk to music. The past few days I couldnt sleep so i didnt stay in bed and i ended up staying up till sunrise and didnt sleep a wink in the day but as soon a night came i am wide awake andi try gointo sleep by relaxing and it doesnt work. Alot of people tell me to do certian stuff to fall asleep and i tell them ive tried it and they just tell me to try again. I almost wonder if i have a condition i dont know about.
I have guests here right now. No gift, no thanks and they expect us to pay for everything. All of their 4 children are out of control. I keep finding urine all over the bathroom floor from their boys. This is horrible. I told my husband they have to stay in a hotel next year. I can't handle this anymore.
My goal is to pay off some credit card loans and then save for a new car.
Anytime a salesperson finds me and tells me their sale is good only for today.

The U.S. is not the wealthiest nation on Earth. Not even in the top 5.
This is a very useful guide.
My goal is to pay off some debt and then save as much as possible for retirement and traveling.

I'm saving it for a house.
I am saving for retirement by contributing to my company's matching 401k program. Its a lifelong process that will always require a commitment!
