I just stumbled upon this post. Maybe no one reads it anymore, I don't know. I'm having extreme guilt / feeling bad about buying a new car. I just got it last Saturday and I've been nothing but miserable since. I got one of those lease deals on new, but last year's model cars, they try to get rid of because the new models are coming. So it's a decent deal. I just don't know why I can't feel good about it.
I help with an after school program, elementary age children. I like the hours, my coworkers and especially the young kids. The energy is almost always positive and I love to hear their stories about the day.
While poor quality fuel can clog up your fuel filter and put undue stress on your fuel pump shortening the life of your pump, Costco fuel is NOT poor quality fuel. Just like Cheveron gas it is a Top Tier Gasoline. It is highly unlikely that Costco gas had anything to do with your fuel pump failure.

I work in retail and I love being able to buy something that's on clearance while using my employee discount to score great deals. Earlier this year, I bought a $300 chair for $100 and a got a unique side table for 50% off.
Ok you don't know what your taking about. It like 15.00 dollars here for 2500 gallons. That is not per gal. Take 15 and divide that by 2500. That is how much per gallon. Also for people who are talking about hiring environment most places return unused water to the environment. We use more water on crops.
Heh heh. Archaeology. I am an archaeologist. Please don't let anyone think this is any easy profession. Most folks work in cultural resources management, get spotty work, spend a lot of time on the dole, and have no benefits or job security. Few people make a successful lifelong career out of it. And the bit about most of the stuff we excavate ending up on display in museums? False.
These are all excellent tips and many that I'm checking off my list as we speak. Ultimately cutting cable and streaming is the best option for us and it's helping us save a pretty hefty sum of money all year round.
As someone who works in a phone center most of this is terrible advice. Do NOT bypass the phone tree because that's how you get to the wrong section so we are forced to transfer you into yet another queue.
Yes, be polite, but stop wasting our time with small talk. We get millions of calls asking about the weather, asking how we are when we would rather be anywhere else and are forced to lie about it, making stupid jokes that we have to pretend are funny, etc. No. Stop. Get to the point so we can fix the problem and move on. How would you well having to talk about the weather a hundred times a day?
And stop asking how "we" can fix the problem. Your problem is not mine. I want to help but this makes you sound fake. We can see right through it.
Asking a bunch of "yes" questions wastes our time and makes you look increasingly stupid with every question. You look like you don't have basic reasoning skills and like you are unprepared. It does not influence the things we are trained to say no for.
We also don't care if you take your business elsewhere. If you're a difficult or entitled customer we are happy to be rid of you.
Ask your question within fifteen seconds, elaborate if asked, listen to the answer, ask for alternatives if necessary, hang up. We like those customers.
NetSpend was associated with TurboTax and when doing your taxes (if you used TurboTax or another program to do your taxes) it was listed at the end of doing your online taxes if you wanted your return to be sent via check, deposited to a bank account or money be put on a debit card, these were my three options, I first picked the debit card as I knew I would not be getting a return, filled out my info for the card, then did not finish my taxes, I later went back to finish them and chose a different method of direct deposit - although I was not getting a return back and did not opt for the debit card option at the end....I still recieved the debit card that is a VISA card that looks like a credit card but indeed is a debit card/prepaid card.
What I like MOST about my job is that it pays a living wage with benefits and I can do it comfortably. What I would CHANGE about it is more about myself than the job,I feel it is pointless work, just typing documents and regulations that only make people's lives harder. I wish I could afford to make LESS, so I could do a job with more USE in the world (but these usually pay nothing, with no benefits).
I like the paycheck and a few of my coworkers. I am hoping to leave my current job for something else, right now it is stressful how much I dislike my job, but the pay is good.
You can usually get paint chips for free at home improvement stores. I've never tried to carry them out in bulk, but I've left with 10 or more when I wasn't sure exactly what colors I was painting a room. You can also ask around and see if any of your friends or family have some left over from renovating.

I work with an AV/Production company and I like that no event is identical and every day is a new event.
I wanna model
I like the people I work with, it is sort of like a family.

Fun colleagues!

I like that my job is being MOM because I get to spend so much time with my kids and I never miss anything that they are involved in.

I love being retired...It is the best job. Previously, I loved the people I worked with as well as our clients/members.
I like the flexibility of working for a small business. If I need to take off time for the doctor or if my kid gets sick, it doesn't count against me.
I like that it's pretty easy and stable for me. I've been here over 8 years. My boss is pretty understanding and flexible about things.
I like the paycheck and a few of my coworkers. I am hoping to leave my current job for something else, right now it is stressful how much I dislike my job, but the pay is good.

The people I work with!
I don't have a job. I'll have to let you know what I like about it when I get one .
