Some online universities are credible. For instance Northwestern University has online programs. I personally know someone who was given a $20K increase because of the graduate degree he received. Do your homework, everyone and do not generalize! :)
Tried this on plastic lenses, exactly as directed. While it does clean heavier scratches, it clouds the lenses with innumerable fine scratches, making them cloudy.
Off the top of my greying head and alas, sans spellcheck, my financial wish would be that my very independent, (ie. currently non-communicative) 23 year-old daughter follows the example of her financially prudent boring mother, (ie. me) instead of the example set by her more exciting, spending fool of a father! (Then I might cut her in on the Big $!)
I wish I could get full health insurance. I live in one of the US States that provide no real regulation of private health care (I left my job to recover from a chronic condition).
Maybe things will change by 2014, but if the first programs are an indication, people like me will continue to be "played with" by the health insurance powers.
I won't waste more space here, but if you want to read my attempt at a humorous rant about the situation, you can see my Daily Show idea suggestion at:
Thanks guest! I'll be posting a lot more on here. I have another gluten free article I'm writing today and am aiming to do at least one a week from now on. Summer had some unforeseen business, but I'm back and will, hopefully help you on your gluten free journey. It's really fun.
At Disney World in Orlando there are no restriction on bringing in outside food or drink. I do it all the time. They even have water fountains throughout the park. So if you bring a refillable bottle, there is no need to purchase or bring a bunch of drinks with you.
Resources are limited and no economy can grow forever. So measuring growth with GDP is completely meaningless. Our society doesn't need to grow wealthier, it just needs to grow up.
I use Audio Footnote (my app) to record notes while listening to audiobooks and podcasts during my commute. It's a good way to get caught up on material and being able to take notes for each audio program is helpful when reviewing things later. Check it out at http://www.audiofootnote.com
Thanks so much Sonja! I am in the very beginning stages of my family going gluten free and I was searching the internet for how to do it and stay frugal...I found you! Please post more or get your own blogspot...that would be great! =) That is if you have time.
Anki for the iPhone is a -must- have for any person studying pretty much everything. A mobile spaced repetition system will pay off in spades for any student!
I work a lot of long hours and have to travel a lot so I would like to have enough money to be able to take a year off work to spend time with my young kids to make up for all of the great things I am missing while working.
Your post is technically correct regarding weight loss and exercise. The issue is you neglect to consider the factors of body composition (is the weight you retain less fatty and more muscular) and fitness.
Fitness |= Lower weight.
There are a great number of studies that show it is more healthy to be cardio-vascularly fit and technically 'overweight' than to be thin or normal weight and sedentary. This is because being fat is typically associated with being sedentary, but being sedentary is the real issue. Your father's mail-carrying colleagues were probably at lower risk of heart attack than the post master who sat in the P.O. all day (all other factors being equal, of course).
I don't use a gym. Reasons include cost in money and travel time so I agree with those points.
However, gyms provide specific equipment & people that can match a person's needs for a price much lower than buying that equipment. Machines restrict the range of motion and that can be great for working injured body parts. Special equipment (sleds, lots of 100lb plates, fat grip bars etc.) is available for those who are serious about building muscle or otherwise improving their physical state. Spotters can be found to help prevent injuries from lifting too much weight etc. Trainers (good ones) can be used to perfect form, prevent injury, etc. For some they can provide needed motivation to exercise.
Gyms are just a tool. They vary in quality and costs. If you need them to accomplish a specific goal and you know what that goal is (like lifting 2x your bodyweight), they can be great--if you don't have a home gym nor want to shell out the cash. If you 'buy' one just because you are supposed to, then you are being silly with your money. Just as if you bought a brand new car because you are supposed to, instead of matching transport to your own specific needs.
If you just need to lose 5 lbs, then cut your intake of food by a few hundred cal's a day and add 10 minutes of cardio to your normal exercise session.
I appreciate you trying to encourage people. There are processes for determining if a decision is good or not. Your "worst case scenario" is one. That deals with the fear issue. These are also helpful.
See what the bible has to say about it. (is it legal, helpful, involve debt, honorable, require unequal partnerships, will it prevent me from taking care of other obligations, etc.)
Seek out wise objective counsel (those that know you and your gifts well, and those that know about what you want to go into).
Consider all of it together and pray.
Look for opportunities or let it go but don't keep on picking at it.

The pellets are very NOT sweat. I used to love the smell and feel of the old feed. This tends to have more husk and filler then anything else. Maybe a couple cambden tabs would have been nice to kill any germs that may have been there.
I have a pear tree available to me, I think it's time to start picking. Make some bubbly peary.
My wish woud be: to be completely debt free - no mortgage, car or credit card debt. Then the income we make would be free to do all those things we want to do - provide for our kids, pay for their college, take some memorable trips and enjoy life.
My family and I lived without air conditioning for two Mississippi summers. One trick we used was to spray ourselves and our night clothes with a fine mist of water before going to bed. Then we lay under a ceiling fan

No more debt. Especially - no more mortgage.
