Aw, man. I was hoping more people would comment after me. I wanted to see people's thoughts on this, too. Maybe there are too many As and not enough Bs out there. Bummer.
A great way to not spend too much on Valentine's Day is to just go out and buy some groceries to make you and your love's favorite dishes for dinner (especially one that have significance) and make dessert (like cheesecake or chocolate dipped strawberries!). Make a makeshift picnic area in your backyard or light up lots and lots of candles and lay out rose petals on your dining table to set the mood. And there you have a romantic and simple night with your loved one.
I think the trick to earning money with sites like ehow is to pick the right topics. Since the payment is calculated based on page views and ad clicks (and whatever else goes into that secret formula), it would make sense that if you write about topics that are in high demand, you would make more money.
One thing I found on ehow that you didn't mention is the section "write a requested article". You can access it once you log into your writer account, on the right underneath your page view count (if you have any articles published). Here they list topics that have been requested by readers, and you can even see how many people are interested in a how-to article on that particular topic.
Glad I found a forum that isn't 2 years old.
I moved to Chile (Region 4), and brought all my USA bought movies(Region 1), with me. So I bought an inexpensive DVD player, but now only some of the movies can be played. The player is by Global home, yet I can not find ANY webpage or information on this brand. It is not listed on other websites that offer the codes, and I'm just really frustrated at this point. Not even the manual has any manufacturer info. This DVD player has a USB port, which I figured would be great so that I can watch the movies in my laptop, yet I cant even get it to open them. The most information I can provide by looking at the actual player is; Model: DVD-0081, Serial No.: KW-06-08A002367, Made in China.
Any help and suggestions will be appreciated.
Thanks...

We celebrate love in general with a nice family dinner, maybe some special cookies & ice cream or cupcakes for dessert, and saying one thing we each really love about each other. And my daughter makes handmade Valentine's for her classmates.
I have used this for years for the household accounts ( except utilities). I always manage to save something extra at the end of each month. My last budget folder has been taped on the envelope edges and tops at least twice to get more service, since the store I got them from has gone under. The bottom point is that it does work!
Make your special someone a meal yourself. Instead of going out to a restaurant and spending a fortune, this will show your creative culinary skills and really impress them!
I love to grill ribeye steaks, add loaded baked potatoes, and a salad with candlelite and wine, and an evening alone. Eating out is too busy and usually the food ends up being lousy, so being at home, alone with someone special is way better.
If Fox News suggested the cause of the current financial mess is home loans to minorities, they were almost right. The root cause is federal legislation and policies designed to "put the dream of homeownership within the reach of more Americans," especially low-income and non-white Americans.
Begining in 1995 right up through 2007 Clinton, Bush and Congress lowered lending standards, eliminated downpayment requirements and generally made it easier for people previously considered high-risk to get mortgage loans. Google Fannie 97 or Fannie 100 as examples. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were required to buy or guarantee these loans. Demand for mortgages jumped, home prices followed and the bubble began to inflate.
Too many banks and mortgage brokers took advantage, regulators failed to regulate, funky derivative investments were created, and in hind-sight we all should have known better. But before any of these other contributing factors kicked in came the actions of the federal government.
50% of people in here that wrote **** about runescape and support wow haven't even been members.. the worst part is they didn't see the real side of runescape (CASTLE WARS, STEALING CREATION, PVP, GWD, experienced all the skills and lots more...) but the bad side.. level 3-50.. no money, no items and no friends.
Always always always make your own thoughtful and/or funny greeting cards. Spend time and effort on it. You'll have a treasure that can't be bought in a store.
I'm sure lots of other people have said this, but I think cooking a nice dinner at home is more intimate than a restaurant. And even with fancy ingredients it will be cheaper than going out.
learn the lyrics to your Valentine's favorite song - practice singing and then take them to karaoke and sing the song in front of all your friends. Very romantic.
For the last two years, my boyfriend and I have celebrated Valentine's Day by taking a relaxing bath together complete with candlelight, rose petals, bubbles, and a glass of red wine. He won't admit it to anyone, but I know he enjoys it just as much as me. For less than $20, we both spend a relaxing evening together, and nothing beats having your back rubbed by your significant other!
Since my divorce, I've viewed Valentine's Day as a day to celebrate all the people, in my life, whom I love and treasure.
Each person receives a handwritten note about what is special about them, and our friendship.
For my amazingly talented and loving 12 yr old daughter, I give a special 'book' of loving compliments about her and her accomplishments.
For my foster children, I take extra time to sit with each of them and tell them how wonderful they are and how lucky we are to have them living with us.
Instead of an impersonal and expensive restaurants, I am going to build a fire in the fireplace and we will have a sexy picnic in front of the fire with sparkling wine and a red checkered tablecloth on the floor.
I always write my husband a love poem for Valentine's Day to remind him of our journey of the year together and our dreams for a future together as well.
Lastly, to show him how much I love him all year long, every year for Valentine's Day I take a special box and fill it wil little things he might want when he is at his office -- ibuprophen, breath mints, snack bars, antacid tablets, batteries, little boxes of raisins, tissues, etc. When he needs a headache pill or a cold tablet or a battery he will know I am taking care of him.
I actually just wrote a post about skipping valentine's day. It debuts tomorrow. The premise is skipping Valentine's day and exchange it for another day of the year that is 'your day'
Some good ideas here for a more traditional V-day though!
My boyfriend has talked about wanting to find time to write. Therefore for his valentine's day present, I found this really nice, but inexpensive journal. I plan on writing the first entry and hope that he continues it. Its personal, sentinmental, cheap, and something that i know he will appreciate.
There's not much left to say that hasn't already been said here. But certainly less is more. A hand-made card is such a more personal and intimate expression of love than a $5 store-bought card. Who needs a fancy restaurant when you can have a candle-lit dinner in the comfort of your own home (and you don't have to dress up). Thank you for the generous give-away!

Just thought I'd suggest Scrapblog for creating digital scrap books. It's a fun site that's free to use!

I did the Candy Bar Wrappers for our wedding and with the Hershey Candy Bars and did Lifesavers Wrappers and changed Lifsavers to Lovesavers.
I did mine in Microsoft Publisher.

I love the idea of taking a hike together. Go somewhere different and take in the beauty that surrounds you(including your partner!).
Interesting perspective. Thanks for stopping by.

We agree to no TV, no computers - just go to bed early and TALK (and whatever)
