I write down every amount spent, no matter how small or how large. It's been a great way to track $$ and also to quickly spot any problems with credit card charges.
My best financial habit lately has been to automate my savings. Automatic deposit to savings account and investments, and apps like Acorns that automatically invest all my roll-ups from my expenditures. If I don't have to think about it, I don't have the chance to think about whether there's something else I want to do with that money!
How to manage your money no budgeting required. This sounds new to me. Because budgeting has it's own big part in our finances. But, looking at the 50/20/30 rule makes me think that there is always another way around. Having 20% that goes on savings is quite big enough savings in the future. Say like could be more helpful on after retirement savings, and also I like the 30% for lifestyle. You'll still get the lifestyle that you want. But got 20% savings. What a great rule! This should be helping everyone who gets to read this blog. Keep this up! :) -xoxo
I have searched this topic forever , I am healthy and would love to go back to school etc . and have healthy kidneys every site says it is illegal so how do you go around that and make it happen ?
Natural disaster is something I think of often and worry because we are not prepared at all. This is something that I have wanted to prepare for....for years but have not. The time is now...and I do need to do something to prepare. You just never know when you will need it.
Choosing the right frame is very important to enhance the look of your picture or artwork. Your detailed description on why and when to choose a frame type helped me as I love taking pictures and have a lot of them yet to be framed.
If you buy a Used Car You are buying a Worn out car. You are Not Saving $$$$ by buying Used. Any Used Car has Wear from the Previous Owner, the tires, breaks, fluids, seals, boots, Transmission and Engine have ALL received Wear from the previous owner. How do you Know the Previous Owner Took Care of the car Properly? They could have tried to do oil changes themselves and Made a Mistake or Put the Wrong Oil in the car. You have No Way of Knowing this about a Used Car...
If you buy a New Car, You Know the car is Brand New and Under Warranty for at least a few years. Sure you pay a little more but what you get is a Brand New Car with Every Part Brand New.
Buying New Makes A Lot More Sense than wasting $$$$$ on Used Junk.
And when did you need to run a marathon or climb a mountain?
Are you a thief that you need to run from the police by running a marathon? Lol
Or did there show up a mountain outside your front door and told you to climb it or else you will die? Hahaha
We live in Western NC where we are surrounded by National forest land. Wildfires were all around us several months ago and I realized that most of my "prepping" would be no good if we had to evacuate at a moments notice. I began to pack small backpacks with emergency items instead of focusing on big stockpiles of things. When you have 10 minutes to get out of your home, you must move fast.
I think I'm somewhat prepared. We have a stock of food and water, emergency radio, candles, etc. We also have a plan for meeting up in case we are separated. If there was a serious national disaster though, we'd probably be out of luck!!
We always try to spend less than we make.
My good financial habits is that I am not in debt, I save money and pay cash for everything!
Automated savings, 15% 401k contributions, no consumer debt and eating at home about 85% of the time.
Good information, thanks. ALSO, most hospitals will let you have a payment plan with no interest, so ask about that first.

I am good at saving money
I pay off my credit card balance every month.

We bought a generator last year, and we have food, water, and flashlights.

To a point, yes.

We really need to get earthquake and flood insurance.

I am largely prepared for an emergency. Though I could certainly use more emergency water.
Yes we are prepared.
No, I'm not prepared for a natural disaster but I think most people fall into that category.
