Paul, I was skeptical (I love my husband's home-brews) but gave it a try. I'll admit it -- I was pleasantly surprised. It was also priced very well. Thanks for the great tip and really fun post.
Mystery Shopping can be a very tricky subject. You have to be sure and not reveal the reasons as to why you are there. Sometimes it is obvious when a person is on some sort of mission. I have worked retail in high school for about three years and my boss said that on any given day there could be a mystery shopper. Who knows if we actually ever had one or that I just passed them every time but she never spoke with me about it. Maybe she just said that so we would always be on our best behavior. I have heard of companies doing that to scare the employees into doing a good job. However they never follow through on having the mystery shopper because they end up costing them money. Some people don't agree with mystery shopping but I think it is fine as long as it has the right intentions and is handled in the right way.

I found this article to be very helpful for perspective new mothers. I am not a mother myself but I am trying to put an end to teen pregnancy. I cited some of your ideas on my blog to help teenagers be aware of the financial burden.
A baby has always been looked at as an expensive addition to your life. And a wonderful addition in the right circumstances. I feel some people are unaware of how expensive a baby can be and I think you did a good job shedding light on this issue.
Hopefully teenagers and adults will find this and test to see if they are ready to have a baby or not. And hopefully we can contribute to trying to prevent babies being born in unfit circumstances.
There are so many penny auction sites out there now. Just into the mix comes another one, itsybid.com. What a way to throw away your money. As with most auction systems, the whole "penny" is really just a unit value that means nothing. Every "penny" is really more like a credit and credits go for $0.75 each. Between all the bidders, the amount could be huge. And keep in mind every time you bid,at .75 cents a click, this does not promise a win. So you could be out hundreds of dollars and not win anything.
Best advise, stay away from penny auction sites like itsybid.com and go with vendors that offer real discounts for real products and services.
While I do appreciate PBR in cans and bottles, the taste doesn't hold up in draught. I've discovered Stroh's at my local liquor store and I like it just as much if not more than PBR.
I think you add Tip # 11 Go to restaurants during happy hour! A lot restaurants have discounted appetizers with their discounted drinks! I love to go to RA sushi the have the best happy hour! I go for dinner often because they have half off their sushi rolls and appetizers with affordable drinks! You can get some awesome food and still get to drink for fairly cheap!

I have always used Walgreens and CVS reward items as gifts. A lot of my family members love the toiletries sets I put together for them for Christmas,.
Along the same lines, I started doing Menards rebates about 3 months ago. I've gotten a lot of car related things. So a lot of the men on my list are getting car sets this year from the free after rebate items I got at Menards.
I don't do a lot of swagbucks or that kind of thing. I have considered selling items on cragislist and/or etsy though. I am not sure I like selling on ebay because they take a lot of your money. I also might look into consignment shops in the area.
Absolutely disagree with you my dear. I've been on both ends of the spectrum. Now that I'm a mom, I can tell you that I should NOT have to apologize for "daring" to want to start a family. It frankly isn't our "fault" that nature has us bearing the child. My point is, that you cannot compare working extra hours as a childless woman, than one who not only is expected to perform well, put in many hours, work hard, etc, and add to that raising children and for many of us also running a home/ family/ spouse, etc. YOU do not have to bear any of my burden, as it is ME who is dealing with it! I guess until you become a parent, you will remain CLUELESS in this regard!
Dude! Thanks to you, I bought my first sixer of Pabst. I was pleasantly surprised. It was very good (especially for the money). I am officially adding it to my regular "what's on sale this week" rotation. Thanks for the tip!
I have a credit card with a 19.99% apr, but I always pay it in full every month so the APR doesn't even matter. I just keep the cards with the best rewards. So I think that tip on high interest credit cards is silly.
If you want to check less loans you can just check the loans that are due in the next 3 or 4 days. The idea is that you don't need to check the loans that are due in a month anyway because if those folks are current it means they just paid.
If you live in Wisconsin check out the $30 a night disabled accessible cabins if you have a physical disability. At $30 a night they sure are worth it.
I just check my loans once a week and check the ones that are about to be due in the next 10 days. If the credit score has fallen by more than 2 rungs (50 to 75 points) then I put a sell order on it. So far it has worked well because some of these borrowers have gone into 30 to 120 late status.
I'm guessing that $2000 a month in California doesn't go very far considering the higher cost of living in California than in many other parts of the country. If it were Kentucky, for example, I'd agree with you wholeheartedly. You could live not just fairly, but pretty darn well on $2000 a month - at least, right now. That might not be true a couple of years from now. At any rate, $2000 a month does sound extravagant, but again, I'm sure the cost of living in California is much higher, so maybe it's not so much, after all.
Sure, the "diversion" container is an okay place to stash a few dollars, but forget about a quality in home safe? I think not. A genuine bad guy that breaks into your home is going to quickly and methodically rip through all of your belongings and find those goofy little hiding places and steel your cash. Where as a quality, in house, bolted down safe, the bad guy might find, he or she won't be able to get in to steal all your cash, or your passports or your pink slips etc. Be smart, buy a safe.
I had never thought of selling notes with "down" credit scores, excellent! Is there an easy way to find all your notes with "Credit Score = Down"? I have over 250 loans and it's a bit of a pain to have to go into each one to check their score (especially the way it resorts the list when you go back to the main listing)? Also, do you have any criteria for "how far down" the score goes before you sell? I see that some of mine have dropped just a few points, while other have fallen off a cliff. Thank you.

Love their Freebies pages (click on Hot Deals in top menu and then Freebies). I've received some great deals over the years here.
It may all be a farce for the sake of big business, but I still say organic milk tastes better.

I think there is always more a person can learn - it is truly ignorance for a person to think they know it all....
Nice way to make money through re cycle process.
