Women save a smaller percentage of their income than men do because they earn less. However, their costs of living are similar. Therefore they have less to save.
Most women know they should save more, but they are unable to do so even if they live modestly.

I would like to learn about what things should I start doing in my early 30's to have a healthy retirement and how and where to start like buying stock like how to start buying at least one and where to go.
This is so true! As a former small business owner, insurance was by far our biggest expense and one of the main reasons we decided to become wage slaves again. We had medical insurance, liability, and a small disability policy - just enough to keep the business out of bankruptcy long enough to shut down, if necessary. Everyone complains about taxes, but insurance costs were much higher. Medical alone was nearly as much as our mortgage. When adding in personal policies (life, home, auto) our insurance costs were a huge percentage of our income. Universal health care might have made enough of a difference to stay self-employed. Insurance is supposed to be a safety net, but it has become a huge burden. It has also had a huge role in driving medical costs up, not down.
I would like to see more frugal living/money saving hacks that I have not seen before--ways for people on a tight budget to stretch their dollars further.
Is there a reason not to just call a regular automotive locksmith to get you into the driver's seat and then pop the trunk from there? Are there cars that don't have the ability to open the truck from inside the vehicle? The only ones I can remember off the top of my head that might not have were all vans, SUVs and wagons, which means you can crawl over the seats and open the "trunk" area from the inside.
I posted nearly this exact thing. Shower shave, 2 passes (with then against), Edge Gel, but then I just rinse the razor and leave it in the shower...works for 3 months ( could go longer) with 3x shaves/week. Shave every other day/ skip weekends.
I shave in the shower the the Fusion Vibrating razor. I shave 3 times/week. I don't bother drying the razor, since it sits in the show and get wet all the time. The blades last about 3 months. I change them at that time, dull or not (usually dull). I also use Edge gel. I have used hair conditioner a time or two and it works fine as well. I think that being in the shower with the hot water helps soften the beard a little, extending the useful life of the blade. On the days that I do shave, I shampoo first, in order to give my beard a little time to "warm up" - soften - from the steam and hot water. I make two passes on my face, first, down, with the grain, to get the longer bits off, then against the grain to get that baby smooth skin.
If I only make one pass, the beard is noticeably longer on the 2nd day and I feel like I need to shave again.
The strategy I employed in my previous marriage was to hog all the financial money management to myself. Imagine how well that worked for me? (I did get divorced....). What I learned from this experience is that you need a point person but both people should be regularly involved in managing the money. Maybe one person should manage paying the bills while the other person deals with the savings and investment side of things. I don't really know.....maybe someone else might have a better answer.....I just would be careful not to hog the finances..... Share....
Totally agree...generally. Great post. I would add that anything requires hard work: relationships, health, wealth, and anything you want to achieve in life. You will be handicapped if you think less of yourself, or put yourself down, but just "thinking" yourself up is not enough.
I love how in number 7 you tell everyone to bring an e-reader instead of a hard copy of a book, then in the very next item, you tell everyone that an e-reader is unnecessary.
#1 Toilet paper. I care more about a decent TP that won't clog the pipes than one that's super soft. Good Housekeeping rates toilet papers so you can find one that hits the sweet spot of softness, flushability, and cost.
#4 Household cleaners. Simple common household products--vinegar, baking soda, borax, others--do the job at much much lower cost. And I know what's in them.
Completely agree with #7,14,15. I cook a lot--for health and budget reasons--and having reliable tools makes the task easier and more enjoyable. I use them so often that return on investment is good.
NEWS FLASH!! Though I have always used my visa debit as credit when purchasing items because I would be protected by the visa policy for fraud protection, I recently learned that Walmart's has begun tapping into my acct. as a debit purchase (which use to be only assessable through a pin number and then you are not covered by visa for fraud) when in fact I have pressed the credit button. Spoke with my credit union and was told that they are allowed to do that if purchases are under 50.00 and that when they do this you are NOT covered by visa for fraud protection. I haven't had any problems with other establishments only Walmarts as of 2 months ago, so this is a new thing. Needless to say Walmarts has lost my business for they have betrayed my confidence in the process of buying from them, there are other stores to buy from honesty they want but don't give, so I'll take my business elsewhere, and I want to expose their new practice.
I couldn't agree more. I am lucky to have a good supermarket chain, Stop & Shop, close to home, and their house brand of "premium" paper products is surprisingly good. But everything else -- preach it, brother.

That is a really good one. I'm gonna try that
@Tyerod Nobody should have to explain the toxicity to you if you read the labels of each of the ingredients.
