I play ice hockey, which makes sense in the winter... I also TRY to go to the gym but I won't lie -- when it's 2 degrees outside I stay in and watch TV!
I am a runner so winter is my down time, I still run but cut down to about 20-25 miles a week (mostly on the treadmill). I also take classes at my gym. In the summer I am rarely at the gym but in the winter I go about 3-5 times a week. At work, during lunch, I may go walking with a few coworkers too.
It's not easy because I work at home and can sometimes not leave the house for days. If the weather is above freezing (preferably at least 40) and sunny I will be walking the dog (even he doesn't like to go out in winter). If the weather is bad/really cold I will do the dance game on the Wii with my younger daughter.
I stay active by walking inside the house for at least 60 minutes a day getting at least 6,000 steps. I also use the treadmill and sauna, do Pilates, yoga, and tend to my woodstove.
Staying active in winter isn't the problem in northern California that it is in other parts of the country. However, I am a wimp when it comes to chill and rain. I exercise more indoors to DVDs and free YouTube videos for aerobics and strength conditioning. I also take a class. This season I'm taking a Pilates class offered at a discount to members of my healthcare insurance plan.
I try to do a workout video everyday, which doesn't always happen with a toddler and a baby. Of course, I'm chasing them about which counts for something!
I find the text really usefull because it has good tips that everyone should check out before buying a house. For example the five year rule of staying in the house sounds for a good advice to pay regard to. Althought buying a house isn`t an actual probability at the moment for myself, I am sure I will take note from these tips when the time comes.
I cannot figure out if my mortgage is correct, I have paid extra on principle since the beginning of the loan and the mortgage company had to do a reversal of funds a couple of times. On payment history they do a few odd things when you send in say $50 towards principle then it goes to suspense then it goes to principle but they never give you a new balance. I would think it should be mandatory after a principle payment it should also show a new balance. If anyone knows of a company or other that is legit I would pay a fee just for peace of mind to check my mortgage history. At this point I am convinced I have been ripped off. I would think every time I pay extra towards principle it would change the loan principle and interest ratio. The mortgage company I have has been pretty nasty in the past, now with things getting somewhat better the banks and mortgage companies will have a lot more leniency with what they can get a way with again. Sorry for long comment but every time I have spoke with a banker or other they mention amortization table which does nothing after you pay extra to principle. If I pay $1000 to principle and it does not get applied for a week I got ripped off. I have paid over $30,000 towards principle in 7 years and have no idea if it has been applied correctly. Bottom line is there anyone who specializes on mortgages, not your average banker that is for sure. Thanks For Your Time, Greg
My DW watches HGTV sometimes to help her sleep. The Bozo househunters have a minimal working vocabulary, as I counted three "awesome" and five "oh wow" exclamations in ten minutes during one segment (I was trying to read a book). Heaven save us from the vocabulary-challenged.
I don't like the cold weather at all. I walk in the mall in the morning, and the hallways at work at lunch. It's not a lot of fun, but it's better than sitting.
I make sure to take classes at my gym since that's often a lot warmer than outside. For working out outdoors, I make sure that I have the proper clothing so I can't use being too cold as an excuse.

What about the most outdated and obtrusive item in the office: the Boss :)
I run, skip, and gallop up and down our long hallway with my toddler.

I love these! I can't wait to try the Baked Oatmeal Cups and the Tofu Frittata.
I walk just about every day.

I like to go for a walk in the mornings.
Seriously? I totally thought this unique article was gonna be awesome, but actually, it's just so random.
Seriously, can't you think of anything else to write about?!

I walk to the post office whenever I need to mail something and bike indoors. I also do squats and lunges.
Exercise equipment inside.
I use my treadmill!
According to whom?
I exercise inside on my treadmill.
I admit it's not a very fitness-oriented time for us. There's a lot of downtime after the holidays, trying to relax and take it slow.

I hit the gym after work since I'm out and about anyway.
