Working in a barn with a bunch of horses. Did that for a few years in my 20s and I would love to do it again. I enjoyed being outside, the physical labor of it all, and making a connection with a beautiful animal.
Though I'm constantly surrounded by technology, I would love to own and eventually retire on an alpaca farm. Alpacas are a wonderful (and relatively easy) livestock. And instead of sitting at a computer desk all day, I would be out maintaining the farm, exercising, and nurturing super cute animals. I think the work would bring me peace. It would take getting to know local farms, attending conferences & fiber shows, business classes (optional), the right property, and likely a large business loan to make the dream a reality. Maybe one day!
My dream job is to become an author. I can't imagine anything better than spending my hours each day writing, whether it be a blog or, even better, a novel. I've hidden behind the excuse that I've been too busy raising my boys to get my book written but they're older now and busy with their own lives so I've made it a point to start writing a little each day to jumpstart my own dream.
I had a difficult time reading this, as the author doesn't seem to have children. My protective instinct kicks in as a parent & I do not feel it is appropriate to force my child to interact with every adult. Yes, we practice good manners in our home, but the community does not always reinforce what has been learned. There are many entitled people out there who have no clue what it's like to interact with a 2yr old on a daily basis. My child is not a performing monkey, nor is she developmentally able to be a 3ft tall 30yr old, she's 2... While I do agree that these are important skills, the expectations need to be tweaked for safety, appropriateness, etc.
My dream job is to be a marketing director for a beauty/cosmetics company. I have been interning as a marketing intern at a fragrance house and have been loving it. When you have a passion for something, you're going to love working in it. It has definitely been one of my favorite internships. I am so glad that I was able to find my passion through this experience and want to continue to pursue this career goal.
Laundry soap also works great in carpet cleaners. I use it in my "little green machine" all the time and it doesn't leave residue behind so carpets are softer and the stains don't reappear.
Thank your for these tips, Linsey. I know a few people who are impulse buyers when it comes to mattresses - I'll make sure to show them this article so they can be guided in their purchases. Thankfully most stores allow customers to test the displayed model of the bed before buying nowadays, so they usually find a bed they like, but they also don't get the best price for said beds. This should help them get the most value for their money!
This is a great list of mattress reviews; I'm sure they'll come in handy for anyone who's planning to get the best value for their money. Your comparison between different types of mattresses (air, latex foam, memory foam) as well as their advantages and disadvantages will surely help us readers make informed decisions the next time we decide to buy a mattress!
High school teacher - to help educate and inspire future generations. Though I would think job satisfaction has the potential to be off the charts, the money isn't there.
My dream job would be a child therapist. I just would love to help child during the tough times they are having and keep them going on the right track.
Hopefully it is being a lawyer since I start law school in 5 weeks! This is my second career -- my first was running my own piano studio, which was a wonderful job that I was very ready to leave after 15 years. Ready to try something new!
My dream job would have lots of PTO, a generous 401k match, and great health benefits. The job description: creating robust community benefit programs at hospitals.

Always has been to be in charge of a well funded nonprofit that gives out grants :)

My dream job is a forensic chemist! I love solving problems and running various chemical assays to find out what something is.
Getting paid to travel around the world. I know there are several ways to do this but to pinpoint the dream job would involve this!
1. "Powdered dishwasher"? Where does one get "powdered dishwasher"? What a hoot.
