A very interesting article, which sets Stephanie as an example on how to go debt- free and later on create her own business. It is true that livin frugally is not easy, especially if one is living in a consuming society. The fact of starting one's own business is very courageous and beneficial, as the rewards are greater, even if, as the article states, the earnings are a little bit less!
If you live anywhere in the US you can get 2 weeks free on movie tickets and see one movie a day. My daughter go to the movies about 3 to 4 times a month with her boyfriend.
Well, the BEST job would be being a socialite who just does philanthropic work but, since I wasn't born into a wealthy family, that's not going to happen. ;) I would've loved to have been a rock star, but I'm probably too old now for that. Slightly more realistically speaking, I wouldn't mind being a magazine writer. Especially a travel writer.
I am currently a scientist, which I love, but I am really interested in getting into science writing/journalism. There is a huge disconnect between scientific discovery and the public perception of what scientists actually do that I would love to begin to address.
In order to save money on dry cleaning, I remove stains by using a damp cloth with a few drops of dishwashing liquid to rub over the stain for about 5 seconds, then rubbing over with a clean damp cloth for another 5 seconds, and then leaving the item to dry. Although this method might not completely get rid of the stain, it definitely lightens it. You have to be careful not to rub too hard, depending on how delicate the fabric is. I hope this works!
Thanks for the advice! I usually use a fabric stain remover spray which doesn't seem to work on heavy oil stains. Instead of going out and buying a more expensive stain removal product, I read this and used the dishwashing liquid I had at home, which worked very well.
My dream job would be to own a souvenir shop on the beach. I know it's weird but then I could make a living hanging out at the beach all day which I love. Right now I'm an IT Engineer in a land locked state so it would be quite the change. Someday...
Do salesmen also recommend to purchase vehicle reports from other alternatives like AC or VinAudit? They say CARFAX has a bug for a moment so I was about to get my copies through their coupon but I just want to make sure if the reports are accurate.
Great homemade cleaner recipes. I hate having to shell out all the money to have a different stain remover for every surface and then store those bottles for the 1x per year I'll need them. Somehow multi-surface never seems to quite work as well on everything.
Don't do it! I signed up with them in 2010, was only signed up for about two weeks when I tried to use this insurance. They did not pay for anything. My timing belt ran out and they refused to pay for it. In fact, when I attempted to use the "insurance," I was advised that I was not in the system. It took them about two days to get back to me and to put me in the system. Afterwards, there was a lot of ping pong, back-and-forth voicemails and unanswered emails when I was eventually advised that they were denying my claim and would not help me. I didn't receive a refund for the $350 that they drafted out of my account and they didn't help me at all. They just took my money and ran. Trying to get them on the phone was a colassal waste of time. To this day, there are emails and voicemails that have gone unanswered. Whatever you do, don't do this. It is a huge waste of time.
I struggle every single day yea I have a spending problem but its when I get deppressed I try to make my self happy hopefully these tricks can help me
I would like to work in a nursery or beautiful flower shop and deal with lovely plants and flowers all day long.
My dream job would be to freelance full time. (I already do it part-time.) I'd want to do LOTS of different things:
Write, edit, do voice acting, craft, make art, help people get organized, tutor....
I'm going to make my dream come true--just five years until the house is paid off!

My dream job would be curing deadly diseases.
I'm not sure exactly what my dream job would be, but it would allow flexibility, travel, inspiring others, connection, and a positive environment.
One huge tip missing from this list (and every other I have seen) is: don't over eat! Over eating is the same as throwing away food.

That is a great idea! I've noticed that many gas stations have lots of cameras pointed toward their pumps, so maybe that's another secure location.
Circuit City was my first choice for electronics back in the day. I always felt like they were cheaper than Best Buy.
My dream job would be to own my own pizza place.

My dream job would involve travel and books in one way or another! Perhaps visiting and photographing some of the world's greatest libraries?
