I totally agree with your point about finding a credible issuer. I used to work as a credit analyst for a Fortune 500 bank and we dealt with people getting secured cards all the time. Sadly, they don't read the fine print and the very secured card that was supposed to help rebuild their credit has now destroyed it. All great tips, and thanks for sharing!
This is an exceedingly helpful article. My son who is 17, got a card in the mail that was one of these fake cards posing as a real deal and I was severely upset first of all that they marketed this crap to him in the first place, and second, that someone underage could even GET sent one of these. Everyone needs to be aware of what a real secured credit card is, looks like and is used for. Beware the scammers.
After procrastinating for five years, I finally scanned 14 albums. This mammoth venture, involving 2,300 photos, was completed during the Memorial Day weekend. Here's how.
My wife and I went through the albums and agreed on 60 genuinely memorable, heirloom material photos we thought were worth saving for future generations. These we scanned at high resolution on Epson V550 scanner. Its bundled software offers edge detection and cropping, which made the process fast.
To rapid-scan the full lot, we used Pic Scanner, an iPhone app (https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/pic-scanner-scan-photos-fast/id644278663...). It offers the possibility of batch scanning (groups of four photos), and automatic cropping to save them as separate pictures. We scanned in ones and twos as their user guide discloses that scans are sharper this way. We did it directly, without taking the photos out of albums, so it went very fast. We uploaded the scans in Dropbox and then burned on DVDs.
There are a few photo scanner apps you could try, but Pic was one of the two I tested and will recommend.
Final suggestion: Get a photo scanner app for photos, and a document scanner app for documents. Don't use one for the other.
for mothers that are over weight do to child birth... i applied on a daily bases after a shower, shrinks stretch marks and helps tighten the hanging belly, arms, thighs, buttocks, breast, and private areas. Will help to shrink inches on you waist and legs.
i have used witch hazel on many things for over a series of months and have found many things other them what is stated above that it is great for. I now realize there may be no fountain of youth...but i believe this plant is the "Tree of Youth". My new name for this extrodinary tree is "The Garden of Eden"...cause when i think of this plant, it automatically makes me think of Adam and Eve and the Lord above. Cheesy i know, but thats is what comes to mind. Until next time...thank you for letting me post..
Can I take this moment as an employee who manages the fitting room to speak about how absolutely disgusting it is when people
1. Return clothes inside out - you didn't get it off the rack this way, why do you think its ok to return it that way? So yes im going have a small attitude when u return 5 shirts and 2 jeans inside out and look at me like, "what's your problem?"
2. Return heaps of clothing in wad, or even worse, leave it in a fitting room for me to find later - when an employee kindly asks you return whatever you don't want its not because we're lazy or we automatically assume youre a theif but because it makes the whole process of returning thngs to the floor a lot faster and easier. Leaving them in there is simply rude.
3. Trying on underwear - its unsanitary. When the FR attendant says no, theres a reason. When you try them on and return them, they go in the trash. There is no excuse for you to try it on in first place, as a grown woman/man, you should know your size by now.
Call it a rant or whatever but these small things are what makes working in retail so unbearable. Rude customers who believe themselves above workers because their job isn't "Real"
Awesome article! Personally I find that travel expenses are one of the most overlooked things in my budget. I loved the last part of that section about in-flight expenses, resort fees, and long distance calling which are often completely overlooked.
Great Article! I myself had to quit my Job a few months back and like the doctor in your article nobody liked my decision but I did it anyway because the work environment was just bad, the people were so negative it was unbelieveable. And now looking back, it was the best choice of my life, I am more positive, I didn't get sick since I left that job and I started to workout again so my life improved dramatically. Again thanks for the article i totally agree sometimes you just have to quit whatever that might be.
To my best knowledge Armour Etch is not sold in Europe, and I have not tried it, but it is interesting that the comments are so diverse. I am a glass cutter, and know about polishing. The coating on my SuperFocus glasses got very scratched even though I only use a special clean glass cleaning cloth. This company SuperFocus has lost its investors I hear, and went out of business. Well, I have never owned a better pair. But, my pair cannot be replaced. After long consideration I got my best cerium oxide and got rid of the scratched coating by dipping a clean smooth finger in the dry powder and carefully hand-polished the lenses with very light circular movement. Do try this at home! You can get cerium oxide from your nearest glass artist. Bring a magnifying glass to check the surface of their work - to check if that is the surface you want, then you know if they have the right stuff. If not, contact The Vrij Glas Foundation www.vrijglas.org and they will supply you with a few grams of the best possible cerium oxide for optical lenses. No warranty... your finger might be a rough one. Cheers!! May 2015.
I would pay off my parents house, buy them both new vehicles and pay the insurance and upkeep on them for many years to come. Purchase my husband and I a house and new vehicles, get our boys some new toys, buy my sister in law a car because she's a single mother and has no vehicle at the time. Pay off my parents bills, tithe to my church 10% and invest the rest!
I would buy a building so each of my kids could have a rent free place to live, send the two youngest to college, give to my church and save some. I would love to go on a vacation since I have not had one since 1992.
#1 I would hire a financial advisor/tax accountant
#2 Buy a new car
#3 Sponsor a WiseBread Chat
#4 Buy a house
The rest I would have a little fun, invest, and save!
Great tips! Luckily I'm too cheap for designer clothes and handbags. I'll have to remember the prescription sample one next time-I'd never thought of that before.
I would give some money to my parents. Put money down to buy a couple rental properties. Do some renovations in my condo like replace the ugly parquet floors with something updated and modern. Then invest the rest in dividend growth stocks.
Good accountant should love his job. Literally, working as an accountant is the meaning of lifestyle. If you agree with this point, this profession is yours. I used to be an accountant but I couldn't realize how to connect my life with accounting. I have change my mind completely. Right now I work as a front-end developer. It was a long way to learn all the aspects of this profession but I've made it. I found a job quickly via getbetterjob.соm and got started. I'm not telling that accounting is bad, I want to tell that you should do what you really like.
I would go down to Brazil and work on my Brazilian Jiu Jitsu almost every day for at least a year. I would study Brazilian Portugese and try to help poor kids learn English.
I would go down to Mexico and live there a year and get a job in a restaurant to learn how to cook every dish until I mastered as many as possible. I would study Spanish and teach kids Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I would return to the US or Australia and open up a cantina.
I would fix up old muscle cars like Camaros, Corvettes, Mustangs, etc. and go out to racetracks where I could drive them fast....legally. To me, it is all about experiences, not possessions.
I would invest a lot of the money and save it for the future.

I would invest the million to ensure a comfortable retirement.
Pay off student loans, have a down payment on a house, invest, and give to others in need.
