Thank you for your feedback, Megan. The main problem is that there are a lot of banks that aren't transparent about the fees that they charge before people complete applications to open accounts. This explains partially why in 2012, bank account holders paid $32 billion in overdraft fees, up $400 million or 1.3% from 2011. Since account holders aren't aware of applicable bank fees, consumers end up paying more than they should.
I'm a former lawyer who transitioned into direct sales (#6 above). With Rodan+Fields, I do everything from home, no parties, and I don't carry inventory. Best of all, I can spend more time with my twin toddlers. We were recently featured on the Today Show.
Thank you for your input Mary. There are a lot of considerations to keep in mind before moving into a new city. In this article, we were just focusing on the highest minimum wages.
I try to rebalance my 401k twice a year so that it doesn't get too out of line with how I want my allocations. My Roth IRA is currently invested into a "Target Retirement" fund that auto balances for me, so that saves some time. The expense ratio is slightly higher on that though.
I like orientaltrading. I do a lot of ordering and their site is easy to navigate, colorful, all the links seem to work well, and the search actually takes me to what I need.
I like the Larabar and Savse Smoothie website designs. I like that they use pictures of the ingredients instead of listing them out. I think visuals are more satisfying and can make things easier.
Those are great tips. Since many small businesses close up shop within just a few years of starting, I believe it's essential to get started without any debt or reducing your nest egg. If you're going to try to work your own business, you need patience, anyway. Practice that by waiting to get started while you save up for any funds you need for the venture.
Good guide here. Actually did make me look back and try to remember the last time I bought a mattress was... let's just say I'll be following this post's advice now!

I have a nephew that was given soda since he was 1 yr old and he became obese, he cant live w/out his soda and guess what he has many health issues. Thanks again for sharing this article.
Nomi, My grandma used to do the same thing with the coffee. We are from Missouri and the summers are very humid and sticky. Grandma would mow grass, yard work, etc and then drink a cup of coffee.
I like sites that are clean and easy to navigate. I hate when ads clutter up the site and make it take forever to load. I also can't stand when sites try to get too artsy and you can't find any of the navigation menus. I wouldn't say the wisebread site is difficult to navigate but I wouldn't say it's overly trendy either. I enjoy the easy navigation.
The best designed website is L.L. Bean. It's fast, functional and you can get to any product you're interested in by click fewer than 2 or 3 times. The graphics are exceptional, with a clear, crisp view of anything you're looking for. It does exactly what a well-designed site should do.
An education is another milestone. A job. Without a decent income the other things aren't possible.
Bogus. You are advocating for spending that is not critical.
Wonderful list of travel hacks! Thanks for sharing your tips Nora :)
Sorry to hear that, Michelle. What happened?
Thank you for the tip, Guest. I will take into consideration that factor for any upcoming lists.
Can you tell me whether that app is for Apple or Android devices? I haven't heard of it before.

I think Amazon does it best.
I'd highly recommend people purchase life insurance well before 50 if they have children. You should purchase it as soon as you have children.
I like when a search bar is easy to find and really dislike slide shows and things that make me click a lot.

I like all but #10. Don't steal the hotel shampoo. It's for your use when you are a guest with the hotel, right?

I love my friend Ali's website at Gimme Some Oven! Bright, clean, easy to use. Makes me want to come back every time.

Can you please tell me how to clean my pillows? Shame on me, but I'm one of the people who only wash the pillow cases.
