I like the website design for the down---to---earth.blogspot.com blog. I like the garden pictures that are throughout and that you can find extra stuff without a lot of searching.
Mystery shopping used as an open (rather than secretive) tool can have a very positive result. At times there is still the need for secrecy in the research and it is not possible to check everything - some things have to be left to the trust of a reliable and proven evaluator. In these instances, assuming the groundwork is done with staff to ensure they buy-in to the research, there is no reason why these projects should be treated with any cynicism, but held in the highest regard. Get it right, and it's not only the client who will benefit but the customer too - and improving customer service levels is, after all, the name of the game.
I feel like your comment on baked goods is rather a blanket statement.
As a pie maker with a full time day job, I use the farmers market AS my retail storefront space. I carry a variety of sweet and savory goods, roll my crusts by hand and bake fresh pies for the market. You CAN'T get them anywhere else but from me, on Saturday. Or, if you're real nice and you message me, I'll bake for your special occasion when you need it.
My pies are a handmade specialty. The ingredients are locally sourced, seasonal, and fresh. I might also add, I'm a pie "company", not a pie "factory". I rent a commercial kitchen to produce these pies to take to the market weekly. So, yes, there IS a cost basis on which I price my product.
In sum, PLEASE buy baked goods. We're not all big bakeries, some of us just rock at baking and are living out a dream!!!
I appreciated this information. Over the years I've tried out different brands of laundry detergent, and finally settled on Arm and Hammer, as it is scent free (my preference), effective, and less expensive than Tide, and has a brand name I am familiar with. I am reluctant to try "house brands" since, in the past, a few turned out to be inadequate. (With many other products, I usually try house brands first, moving up the price ladder until I find the item meeting my needs.) Thank you for this review of this essential everyday product; it is reassuring to have professional confirmation of one's own experience.
I like that tip. That's similar to what a group of us used to do when we were lecturers at a college. On Friday, after classes we'd pitch in for wine (usually big bottles of white zinfandel) and gather at one person's house or apartment. Great conversation, lubricated by wine. I miss those days.
My husband and I rarely go to bars or nightclubs anymore. However, I do enjoy a cocktail at home, so I decided to calculate my typical costs of at-home drinking. My favorite bourbon for cocktails is Evan Williams, which now costs close to $20 for 1.75 liters. That comes our to .33 per drink (one 1-oz shot per drink). I often mix the bourbon with ginger ale and a lemon twist for a simple "Presbyterian." I buy ginger ale in 6 packs of reclosable bottles for about $6 and I get two drinks from one bottle. That comes to .50 per drink. At $0.83 per drink, I could end up saving a maximum of $303 a year, if I gave up drinking. That's not a huge amount, but it's not insignificant either. I think that on nights when I don't have a cocktail at home, I'll put 80 cents in my household piggy bank.
I enjoy websites that are easy to navigate, and have a hierarchy that makes it easy to find what I am looking for. For informative websites, I don't like a lot of pop ups that make it hard to read articles. I do like wisebread's design, it is user friendly and easy to find what I am looking for. I do wish there was more of a hierarchy though. Some websites that I think are designed well include thepioneerwoman.com, alphabest.org, lynda.com. Thanks!
I like websites that make it easy if it is a blog to scroll around through all the articles (while having category sections is great, sometimes I just want to see everything). Also scaling to phones is important to me.
Quite helpful and useful suggestions for everyone who needs education low-cost alternatives. It's also may be useful to improve your skills with such essay writing services like GreenEssay.net. Good luck!
So true! I also had problem not knowing what remaining balance was left on my gift card and I would end up not using it. I couldn't find those little white receipts with balance on them. but I found the perfect solution that helped and now my gift cards don't get unused and wasted. check out sleevepal.com
I like the format on dearauthor.com. It's easily searched, not much clutter or advertising and the few graphics they use enhance to appearance rather than making it crazy.
Great article - but for many ladies, the cost of getting free drinks is far greater than the $5-$10 they might spend for a blueberry fizzy cocktail.
Oh - and I love the idea of bringing out cash. The only problem is, that if you bring a card "just in case" your drunk self isn't going to be so restrained. And if you leave the card at home, you may end up walking because you forgot to keep money back for the cab. Tough break. Better walk that buzz off I guess :-)
What do you think about this tip.
Instead of trying to cut back on the bar tab, focus on hosting a house party. Karaoke if you really want. Alcohol is cheaper, so is food, and you can fall asleep wherever you want and it's perfectly socially acceptable.
The key difference between this and cutting back at the bar is the mindset. Do something you want to do, that's going to be fun, instead of focusing on how you can make yourself suffer efficiently.

The Kitchn and Wise Bread, please do not change your format
There's nothing better than hotel shampoos.
I like the article. These are very useful and practical tips on how to relax during your lunch time. I am going to give some of these a go!
Most people don't take the bus. So let's be real.
Don't drink and drive.

I like simple and stylist designs. Wise bread seems to be covered with too many ads.
I like Exposure - it highlights photos and looks great!

Its kind of impossible the wiki has strict security !
Mental Floss, Lifehacker, The Penny Hoarder and Swagbucks are all well-designed sites.

I have always like Amazon, but lately, it keeps resetting for no reason! It's quite annoying. Choose wisely when you're considering a redesign! :)

My favorite website Online Sweepstakes has great design, easy to read and not cluttered.
I don't have specific website names but I like designs that are easy to understand and make it easy to find what you are interested in.
