Go on vacation this year with my husband. I saved the money for a 2013 vacation and he was too busy to go. The money is there and I am crossing my fingers for a 2014 vacation. I also want to lose 14 pounds and continue to walk on my breaks and lunch at work.
My New Year's Resolution is to not get caught up in resolutions and live my life so that at the end of 2014 I can look back on all the great memories I have had and all the new things I have seen, done, learned or heard.
My resolution is that I am able to exercise more because I have been lazy as of late and gained pounds. By exercising, I will have something to do besides playing video games, watch sports and write fanfiction
To give up soda. I'm not a coffee drinker but as I've gotten older I've been relying on the caffeine to make it through the day. So come Jan. 1st, no more soda (regular, diet, or otherwise) for me.!
1. Learn coding and website design
2. Increase work effectiveness by maximizing profits per hour, reducing hours worked
3. Continue earning 20-30% on investments...perhaps starting a small investing company in the near future
4. Further reduce my monthly expenses from $2,800 to $2,000 to invest a greater percentage of income
5. Design and launch 1 app and 1 website
I am totally ok with those advantages. However, i recently moved from canada to a country where being nice means you are weak and people will disrespect you. I just decided no more nice, and like by magic they started fearing and respecting me. I hate that, it is not natural, but i have to do it. I m the manager... some advices? I don't want to mention the country's name, but it's a poor country.
- Husband and I are newlyweds, so we want to build our credit.
- Our budget starts January 1, so I'm resolved to stick to it!
- Save about $30,000 this year towards a house
All very optimistic goals, but I feel like this year will be a good one!
For the purse- I have a little hook I carry in my purse so I can hang it up from a table when I am in a restaurant. A lot of bars have installed hooks under the bar for purses. Many ladie's rooms have hooks on the back of the stall door as well.
The dirtiest thing that was not mentioned above, MONEY. Wash your hands afer handling cash.
In addition to ur #9 artistic gifts , a great idea(I think @ least!) Is either personalizing an ornament or another artsy idea is making homemade wreaths (just buy some Garland (or use the one u have above ur mantle) shape it into a circle and secure, add some ornaments.and/or bows, etc, from ur tree or u found on clearance, and wallah! Another gift idea that's incredibly sentimental, yet very low in price, is buying a plain white or light colored pillowcase or T-shirt, grab some clothing paint and ur kid(s) and have them put their hand &/or footprints on the shirt (or whatever ur gifting )then add whatever ud like : names, year, or a cute sentiment. I made a T-shirt one year that had my neices handprints all over it and then wrote "Hands down, my Daddy's the Best!" I've never seen him cry until then, and although that was 4yrs ago, he still wears that shirt with pride! I hope these additional ideas help u spread Christmas love and cheer! Merry Christmas everyone!!
Awesome of you to include me in your blog!!! The Vintage Book of the Month Club is definitely selling well due to this article!!

I don't make resolutions for the new year. I just make decisions throughout the year. I became a vegetarian in April of 2013, started tracking what I ate, ate better, and lost 30 pounds. And now for 2014 I have a motto: Save More, Be Positive, Live Well. And I have a budget to stick to that's helping, and got rid of some bad things in my life that were holding me back.
Money always makes me happy! The only time it didn't was when I lost it

My 2014 resolution is clear all my debt and start rebuilding my emergency fund.

I have one really important resolution for 2014... find a permanent full-time job.
