I plan what I am going to eat for breakfast/lunch/dinner the night before so I don't eat junk food. I love eating sauteed veggies and a protein with brown rice. When I want to indulge I eat pizza!
Very evident post to take a note of, as every precaution added with surveillance needs to be taken to work on credit report. As any lapse to it can add to many troubles, due to which correct step should be taken at the time of any wrong update.
I recently lost weight by using an app (MyFitnessPal) to record everything I ate and keep to a daily calorie maximum. I also used a food scale to stay on top of portion sizes. Calorie counting isn't always fun, but it really makes you think twice before you eat something.
The time has come when we need to get rid of all lies & infatuation related to our finances. As every single & significant importance need to paid to the current state of affair, at the same time working hard to save a substantial money out of it.
I use fresh locally grown vegetables and fruits as much as possible and cook from scratch. Smaller portions help me eat less and drinking lots of water helps me stay healthy.

I try to have a salad every night before dinner, one that's loaded with veggies. I'm also TRYING to eat more fruit when I want something sweet instead of cookies, candy, etc. That one's a little harder for me, but I'm working on it.
I order my produce and eggs weekly from a local mostly organic CSA so I can plan snacks and sides the healthy way. It also keeps me from spending too much time in the grocery store.
Do grocery shopping at least once a week to keep fresh food in the house. Do bulk cooking or food prep on weekends so you have meals ready to eat quickly with minimal effort to avoid the need or urge to eat out. Use smaller plates to fool your brain into seeing a full plate and filling you up more quickly to avoid overeating. Put healthy food where it can be easily seen and grabbed to inspire you to eat more of it. Use moderation. You can eat any food as long as you don't overeat so you can still enjoy treats like ice cream. Find creative ways to sneak more veggies into your food - make fresh pesto from asparagus.
I try to cut out as much processed sugar as possible from my diet. It's nearly impossible to achieve since so much of what we eat has it, but I have found that my health has improved dramatically from this change!
I guess my brain is wired differently from most people's, but I feel just as much 'friction' when using a credit card as when using cash. It's all money out of my pocket. So I use a credit card for everything. Not only does it help me avoid ATMs, but I get 1-5% back. A win-win in my mind.
Yes, I am a Dave Ramsey enthusiast. I do a lot of these transaction cost to take the fun out of shopping. Truth is today I hate shopping. This is after years of keeping tabs on my shopping. I guess I replaced the fun with a stinger. I look for cheaper alternatives. I have found that free doesn't really exist.
Do a meal prep day. That way, you've already planned the meals for the week. Then you stick to that list at the grocery store and it's healthy on a budget! It also makes you less likely to pick up food on the way home when you know you already have some waiting
