I've never really found anyone who would consolidate student loans. We enroll hundreds of people per day in a vast range of debt relief programs, but we never had a company who helped with these. If anyones interested in student loan leads, let me know because we just turn them down...
We own our home (or not really own yet, but paying the mortgage)
Pros: we can fix it and decorate the way we like
we can have as many pets as we like
we have some equity in this house and can sell it if we choose to
You know... it's not so bad to hitup the dollar stores. They tend to have everything else that the higher brand stores would have (such as pencils, pens, paper, etc). You can get alot of good things there while saving money.
I like gardening best. Alot of people here in my local city tend to do this with farmer markets. Since gas prices are going up (hence food prices), people are always looking for some sort of bargain. I like this gardening idea alot.
I own. My theory on home ownership is it has be like having a kid: the reasons you want to should be completely irrational. There is no guarantee on a "return on investment." I own because I wanted to become a part of the community. I felt at home in this neighborhood. I like to decorate and remodel and I have a lot of pets. People I know say they want to buy a house so they don't "throw money away on rent." Instead you get to throw money away on interest, maintenance, and unexpected catastrophes. I wouldn't go back to renting because I prefer to be able to knock down a wall or repaint the living room at my leisure, or to take in another pet without having to call someone for permission. I have watched my urban neighborhood stabilizing and I would like to believe I was part of that positive change.
Ok so I started this just this Monday and so far I love it! However I do have one question...I have extremely oily hair to the point where I have to wash it daily. I sweat a lot at night so I can wash my hair at night and STILL have to wash it the next morning...Since I am just starting out should I continue to wash it with the BS daily or should I do BS every other day and ACV every even day? So far when I get up in the mornings it looks oily and greasy like I need to wash it, but that goes away with the BS wash. I just don't want to OVER wash my hair. Any suggestions would be great!
We just moved into a house, which we currently rent, but we're hoping to to set up a rent-to-own contract soon. :)
A pro of renting, are that we don't have to worry if something goes wrong with the home -- we know our landlord is honorable, and will fix it. A pro of owning, will be the satisfaction of having something on your own. :)
My husband and I married at the local coffee shop (Michelle's Cafe in Clarion, PA) where we first dated. Just the immediate family and best friends for the wedding, close friends for the reception. Music was my sister playing Bach on the flute. The location catered our reception and we brought in our own alcohol. Instead of a cake, we had cookie platters. My "dress" was a long skirt and top from a local shop; he wore out of the closet. It was wonderful! Although we had time to plan, we both agreed we wanted something small and intimate. Most of our guests told us it was the best wedding/reception they'd ever attended! Oh, and one of my MOH doubled as the photographer -- her wedding gift to us.
I haven't tried any of these remedies, but I just lathered soap into the disc and wiped it off with a glasses cleaning cloth and then rinsed it off with HOT water and it doesn't work perfectly, but now it starts to load. :) Also, has anyone tried non-stick spray for frying pans? Just an idea. Please tell me if it works. I would try it, but my mom doesn't have any... :(
I rent and it suits us for now! We pay in rent what our neighbors pay in just property taxes. Our landlord is great and lets us paint and change fixtures. When he was checking out the place to buy it, him and his realtor said they loved our unit the best. We treat the place likes ours and our LL appreciates that so much he has yet to raise our rent in 2 years. We do wanna buy but we don't feel mature enough right now for the responsibility.
We own. The added stability, contributions to net worth, tax deductions and option to ramp up payments to decrease total interest paid over the life of the mortgage are all benefits of ownership. Home maintenance is a chore, but there are managed communities if it becomes too much of a burden.

I really like how you guys took the time to outline this. Many people dont really care, but these 6 steps are rather detailed. Thanks.
