I use 2 different types of manual can openers. The Zyliss Lock n Lift can opener http://amzn. to/LL51bR. It costs around $15 but it's very smooth and practically effortless to open a can.
The other one I use is the P-38 military can opener. You can get them online or at Army Navy stores for around .50-$1.50 each. I take mine with me all of the time. They fold flat and are small enough to fit on a key chain. There's a YouTube video that shows you how to use it if you can't figure it out on your own.
I do all the things you mentioned in the first paragraph. Especially with flying. I always have to have a glass of wine (or two!) before getting on a plane.
None of these things are new to me but are good reminders. It's also nice to know that I am not the only one who struggles with anxiety sometimes.
It depends, although, I do get by with just 5 hours. There was even a time when I only slept for 4 hours, and this was when I was still a night person. I'd go to bed at around 6am and wake up at 10am.
But I do get naps in between, usually for around 2 hours.
I'm a bit of a worrier, although not as much as my mom. One thing that worries me all the time is displeasing someone. I'm a people pleaser and I get worried when I feel that someone doesn't like me.
I think if you are poor many times you have found life hasn't gone your way and your stress level is higher. This makes you want to eat more of the wrong foods. It's harder to find pleasure in the sunshine and flowers. You want ice cream. I am poor and I eat well but I spend enormous amounts of time in the kitchen. Not everyone can do that.
I always buy used. My kids have enough grandparents and other relatives who are willing to buy new toys, so I've made a habit of only buying used toys that are in good condition (although I tend to prefer experiences to toys!)
Glad the spreadsheet is useful and glad that you are on track for your retirement. The calculations are basic but give you a general idea of what to save.
Glad the article was helpful. There is a lot of uncertainty about the future, especially if you are years or even decades away from retirement, but def. hoped to make things easier to understand and get started.
These are more online "business opportunities", but if you're not looking to making income online then you wouldn't have clicked on this post. They're mostly passive once you get them set up, other than a few clicks here and there.

I save on kids toys by not having kids! But I do have a niece and, when I have to buy a gift for her, I usually try to find the toy she wants at Walmart or Target. I also look for coupons. I signed up for the Toys R Us rewards card so that when I buy something there I earn points toward eventually getting free or discounted merchandise.
I agree if a person decided to eat more than he/she wants then he/she must take ownership of the decisions. That does not mean he/she can't get back on track.
A good observation, except what I didn't make clear (but Forbes does) is that many more people travel during the day and more miles are driven total during the day. Although 51% of fatal crashes happen during the day, the fatality rate per mile is about three times higher at night. Good catch!
It only recently dawned (heh) on me how I am a morning person. Not in the sense of waking up refreshed and delighted to meet the day, because I'm pretty crabby when I first get up, but I do love the early morning and the solitude. From the lack of traffic to the peace and quiet at home or in the office, nothing is better than 5AM.
Of course, it's easier for me to say that now, when it's light out at 5AM, then in the middle of February.
Ah - thank you!
how can i prove to an employment dep.that your boss fire you if you don't used to punch in and out

Actually, it violates Pandora's music licensing agreement to play Pandora in a business unless you pay for it though their business provider DMX. http://help.pandora.com/customer/portal/topics/96127-pandora-for-your-bu... if you choose to play it without that subscription you can be sued.
Consignment shops are great. As your kids grow you can trade for toys that are more age appropriate.

I guess if it will lead to more profits, it's okay. But if it's just for listening to music and other types of leisure, I'd stick to the free ones.

Oh wow! Thanks for letting us know! :)

...it's simple; If you don not want the service
1) don't activate it. 2) don't add money 3) don't buy anything with it 4) shred it

Yay, my go-to spice! So much easier to get food tasting good when you have this nifty mix on hand.
