As a kid, I used to love waking early and getting in a few minutes of a new video game before heading to school. If only I could get motivated by such simple things as an adult.
49% of fatal crashes occur at night. That means that 51% of fatal crashes occur during the day. Why, then, do both this article and the Forbes article the stat is pulled from use the 49% to say that it is safer to drive during the day?
All of the reasons on this list were solid. Not one was a stretch. I like that you included reasons for personal enjoyment as well. Many people try to make themselves into a morning person for productivity and many articles highlight the increased productivity of the morning, but showing personal reasons such as being alone with your thoughts and having time for recreation are great for motivating the ones that are slow to see the benefit.
Love these ideas. My favorite is creating the games. I think having an activity at your party just adds so much to the experience. Wiffleball will be a must on the 4th!
My son is almost two, and I've bought very few new toys for him, yet he's got enough toys to fill the house. I throw birthday parties for him, which is where most of the new toys come from, and I shop at thrift stores and garage sales. You can get very nice and nearly new toys secondhand!
Dear Zorcy, It has been a while since I asked a question, but I am doing a new 5 gallon batch of sugar and turbo yeast, "48 hour " kind. In the past I got fast action (bubbling in the gallon air lock jug and then, after 3 or 4 days, it might continue slow bubbling for maybe 10 days. This time is was going great for 3 days and just about stopped. I was using 17 pounds of sugar in a 5 gallon container, as usual. I did something I had never done before; I popped the lid and sprinkled a cup of sugar on the top. It immediately started foam and boiling. I put the lid back on and it went for a day, pretty strong. I did it again this morning and it took off again.
I guess this is making more alcohol and should keep doing this until it no longer works.
Not being a member of the workforce (am retired) & having no children at home, I enjoy being able to set my own hours. Some nights i have trouble sleeping, so i may get in only 3-5 hours of sleep (i take naps later then in the day when i can), very seldom does sleep come between 8-10 hours. But i love early rising time & feel MOST productive in the early morning, b/c i have time to set schedules, make lists & generally prepare to "end my day" before the clock strikes 2200. Being a natural-born Texan is another incentive to end my day early to avoid the heat.
f you want to save money this use this site http://discountengine.co.uk/ . i think discountengine.co.uk is the right place to save your money. i am a user of discountengine.co.uk from 2 years and find my best deals.
This was completely enthralling for me. I have always loved silverware and my mom always vacillated between how to clean her set but usually made me and my sister help her do it around Christmas time. I have my heart set on a Tiffany pattern now, but have only one piece so far which I see I have been cleaning the wrong way. Thank you for this, it made my day!
Also got a question for you, if you can please help!! Is it safe to clean silver with baking soda, salt, boiling water and aluminum foil?? I heard they turn white. Is it so??
I recently downloaded an app on my android phone (I think they also have one for iphone?) called the GOOB alarm clock (Get Out Of Bed). If your phone is connected to a wi-fi connection at home (as mine is), you measure how strong the wi-fi signal is in the room with the router, then set an alarm with that level as the cut off.
So, for me, when I am standing next to my router, I get about 45 wi-fi strength showing on the app. In my bedroom, it is more like 30. So I have set my alarm for 40 wi-fi strength. When the alarm goes off, I have to walk my phone to the router to turn the alarm off. Works like a treat!
Wow Great list. They say "one man' trash is another man's treasure", so as you are doing your spring cleaning this year, you may be considering trying to sell your unused stuff, instead of just throwing it away. Before the Internet, the only way to do this would be to have a yard sale, which entails planning a weekend and putting an ad in the paper. Then you would have to hope and pray that the people who show up will actually be interested in the items you have to sell. Today we have more options. :D
Good article, but you can do all this and more with other oils that won't go rancid. It's the oil in butter that works all these miracles, but the dairy portion of the butter can cause you more problems.
Try veggie, olive, coconut, sunflower seed, etc. oils instead. They're also much cheaper. For any of the skin applications, jojoba oil is the best one to use.
I am normally an early person but recently got into a late night funk. I'm missing out on exercise and feel like muck! Going to push back to the early mornings asap.
I received a Keurig as a gift a few years ago and enjoyed the diversity of the different flavored pods, but THIS year I took the plunge and finally purchased a used French Press extremely cheap off Craigslist.
I will never go back.
Now part of our weekend ritual, after strolling through the farmers market, is making a quick pit stop at our local co-op on the way home and buying freshly roasted beans. A bit pricier, yes, but simply marvelous with the Press, and well worth the indulgence.
I did this but was pissed off at myself for forgetting to hit the start button for the timer...no biggie..rather than restart I reviewed my 100 anyways. Not much different from the goals I already have (and "Get a Girlfriend" is still top of the list) but a nice filter nonetheless
Awesome! Keep it up, man.
Thanks, Mac! I appreciate the comment. Have a great weekend!
How about getting something from NetSpend addressed to a person who doesn't even live here.
Do I have to water before I apply this and how long afterward can I water? It sounds fabulous.
Thank you so much.

I usually stockpile toys and buy them on sale and then just go to the toy stash when needed!

Am I using enough sugar from the get go?
