If the shirt is oversized cut tiny seams on the sides making it have a fluffy kind of look like the no sew blankets, these are really cute and give it almost a cropped look if you weara cami under it!
What about watching sports? My husband insists on his football. We also have the special NFL football programming because his favorite team is not the local one. Anyone know how to get NFL games online?
Yes, that's a lot of it: At some point, the effort it would take to be a little more frugal would be better spent on other ways to make your standard of living higher and your household more secure.
Frugality is great as one tool with which to improve your life. For most people—at least, most people in rich countries—it's probably the first tool they should pick up. But once you've used tool for a while, you've probably gotten yourself to a place where other tools (acquiring skills, building connections in your community, etc.) are likely to offer a better payoff.
Thank you for all the great information about Mystery Shopping. I had been looking for a legit company for awhile so I had a good reason to get out and shop and also make some extra money while doing it.
I'm a big Aldi shopper. Here's a tip if you're a chocolate lover: my neighbor is a chocoholic and also a food scientist. He gives their semi-sweet chocolate chips two thumbs up! That's what really got me shopping there.
I like that this post isn't focusing on how to save money and what you shouldn't be doing, but rather what there is to look forward to as you continue to save and be financially smarter. I think once I'm more financially secure I will take comfort in the fact that I will be able to be more generous to those around me (especially my big sister who always bore the brunt of buying our family members holiday gifts, definitely going to have to repay her for those!).
I'm always misplacing my wallet and that got me worried. So I started using Key Ring to store all my credit card information on my phone so I don't have to carry them all with me in my wallet. In case I do lose my wallet I have one less thing to worry about. What apps do you guys use to store important info?
Very usefull article, going to include it in a round up sometime. When I was in University this happened to students ALL the time! Not one of them knew what to do, the only good thing was that they never carried their SIN number on them.
I love the perk where they match your RRSP contributions or pension plan. But I agree, if you get a raise, take the difference and just put it in a savings account and you won't have a change in lifestyle but you will be building a nice nest egg for retirement!
I signed up. As promised, it was easy. Springcoin appears to be a great service, easy to use so far. It looks like there is a full range of useful tools available. I use Quicken at home though and I feel like I am already doing most of this.
I should prefer to receive cash because I can use it for practical things like paying bills and utilities, but I really prefer gift cards because it allows me to do things like update my wardrobe without guilt. As a gift, although I know most people would prefer cash because they can use it to buy exactly what they want, I feel gift cards are less of a cop-out. You still have to be familiar with what restaurants or clothing brands your family and friends like.
I'll become an extreme couponer when they have coupons for high-quality foods like leafy greens, bulk foods and other basics. Until then, I pity the people who have a pantry full of granola bars and soup cans. Besides batteries, the last SIX weeks of papers have not even featured any items I purchase. No thanks!
Wow! amazing that this convo is still going on! I've been struggling with being content in my field of work for about 5 years. You have to do some soul searching, some things happen because they will help you in the end. Its easier said then done. I'm really having a hard time because I've been unemployed for a year and just started working again. I've realized that social work is just not field I wanna do, but I still wanna help people. So I've tried decorating my desk ( but its not how I want it because they told us it couldn't get too crazy :-(, little quotes posted on my desk, rewarding myself for getting through the day. Its hard to understand that you are not your job! Its so hard. I was so depressed when I lost my last job because i felt like i wasn't me anymore.
Even now with a job I still feel lifeless...is this my life? doing what I don't want to do? I try to spend my free time researching and trying new things but its hard because the demands of backed up bills, current bills, etc. you know adult, responsible bullshit. Its hard. Sarah, your article helped me deal with doing things I don't like to do which is very often. Thanks for your help!. Its in ongoing process......
is there something that can be used to replace the soy flour?
I know that I need this site, but it is intimidating to get started!
This seems really interesting and a helpful way to budget my expenses.

How do you make squishy rugs? That sounds awesome!

prefer getting gift cards
LOL! Touche, this was a little too oversimplified.
I like either one. The gift card would really depend on where it's to - I would enjoy it more if it was to some place I really like.

I love the look of the lantern project. Has anybody else made any neat crafts from dollar store items? I'd love to hear about them!

I really need to work on the being easily pleased part. :)
I've been using BensBargains since Ben was running it out of his 1 bedroom apartment. Now I use http://www.promocodepal.com
