My dad still remembers going to the butchers for dog bones, only to have his mum toss them in the soup pot! They also grew a lot of things, and my Oma (dads mum) could knit practically anything. Their toys were knit by her, along with their sweaters and socks. If anything had a hole in it, it was darned until it was more darned holes than clothing!
it is dangerous because LIthium Ion batteries used for Laptops can easily EXPLODE, if they are overheated vhen soldering. At use if the contact is bad, heat can happen also, and it will be dangerous. If you are not wounded, you should also know that Lithium itself when inhalated is lethal at very little quantities.
My suggestion : find a hack to use cheap standard Nickel Cadmium batteries instead, but it would be necessary to have a little electronic knowledge to simulate a Lithium package. If anyone has already done that please let us know !
My auto insurance company offered a substantial discount for paying the entire premium up front. Factor in the service fee for paying monthly and it totaled almost 10% of the bill in savings. Obviously this is quite a bit more than my savings account is paying so I withdrew the money and paid upfront. Now I have the amount of the monthly bill transferred automatically from checking to savings so I will recieve the extra 10% plus a small amount of interest and I will have the money available to pay the next 6 month renewel when it comes due.
I probably should have budgeted, but in lean years I was honest with my gift recipients letting them know that "some years are rough, some years are abundant." Through thick and thin, friends have stuck by me no matter the gifts (or lack of gifts) they received.
This year was an abundant year for me. I'm a fortunate man. I bought for 11 people, a total of 62 gifts and spent $4,512. Yes. That's a lot. However, I'm paying forward a favor. A couple years ago when I couldn't rub two nickles together, a dear friend gave me $1000 as a gift to "do something wild." I did do something wild; I applied it toward my staggering credit card debt & card loan debt ($62,000 at the time). This year, I paid off that debt in full and put away a chunk for retirement. In my friend's honor, I am gifting $1,000 to a friend to help pay down his debt.
I was also able to donate $500 to a local abused women's shelter. It has been a very good year for me, and while an atheist, I believe that good fortune should be spread around.
By the time you are done buying supplies. Electricity to cook it, and water to wash the utensils and what not. It does cost you more then $1 for a loaf of bread. Cheaper to jsut get it from the store
There have to be no talks about the value of quality essay service uk. Professionals who work there really save a lot of students. Thus, we must value the activity of these people!
Yes I do! My family has decided not to give each other purchased gifts this year and instead spend a budgeted amount of money on making some cheap, yet heartfelt.
No, I don't have a holiday budget. I am a saver by nature, and as I have two young children, I use this time to stock up on birthday party presents for the rest of the year!
my dad works for a company...that he gets about 500+ boxes a week but there small boxes so,what do u recommend would be the amount for one pallet/recyclable set i give them ?
Yes, I've set a holiday gift budget (as well as a charitable gift budget) for the last 5 years. It helps to give me permission to spend down these amounts because I know that I've accounted for them theoughout the year. I'm thinking that my gift budget will go up this year b/c I just got engaged.
It is more expensive for males when they are younger but then quickly changes to being more expensive for females for the rest of there lives. Young males get pretty crazy when we first get that freedom.
Great article. Extremely valuable as I'm trying to become more of a 'extreme couponer' so now I know WHEN to shop to apply my coupons &/or discounts. Thanks much!!

Next year I will budget Christmas more carefully.
I have one, but I usually go over.
These suggestions sound like things a hoarder would say they could use things for but then they throw them in a box and never look at them again. :|

We have kind of a loose budget, in that we decide how much we want to spend based on what we want to buy. If we get good deals, though, we spend less.
Not a strict one, but I have a number that I try to stay within for each person.

my budget is $200 at only local stores, many of which friends own :)
My holiday shopping budget is generalities, but this year it's around $350 simply because it's all I can afford.
Yes, I've set up the budget. I haven't done a lick of the shopping yet but at least I know what I can spend. :)
