I buy mine hubbys and the kids clothes off season. You should see the closet full of name brand stuff they have for summer for like 75-85% off. Plus SIL always gives me hand me downs since our kids are a year off from each other (her son 5 mine 4, etc).
Bank of America - what a joke they are!!! I just went through the same thing with them and received my letter if denial today!!! After speaking to them they said I did not return requested information within 30 days..ummm I started this back in August and "requested information" was submitted 3 times!!! What the letters didn't say, and neither did anyone I spoke to in the last 3 months was they needed "updated" information, new bank statements, new pay stubs yada, yada, yada. I contacted my State representative, congressman and senators AND sent an email to the White House from their web site 2 months ago, never heard anything back from them either, even though the site asks if you would like a response...might as well have been talking to the walls!! A great way to save money on clothing is to shop at high-end stores in off seasons like shop for summer in the winter and shop for winter clothing in the summer I save all the time this way and save big.
Can yeast be re-used? Or, does one need to keep going out and buying more turbo (or similar) yeast? The thick gunk at the bottom of the primary fermenter....can that be re-used to ferment a new batch? I think it can when doing beer. But moonshine? I just dumped a bucket of what is probably vinegar (left one bucket sitting too long) and am wondering if the sludge at the bottom is good for anything...or if those are 100% dead cells? I'd love to understand how to reconstitute yeast from batch to bath though.
you must use a high gravity or high alcohol yeast. I use turbo yeast. If you don't, when the alcohol gets to a certain level (too low for making 'shine), the yeast will poop out. Turbo can go to 18% I think. "regular" probably is done around 8%?

It can be pretty time-consuming and I have to pick through a lot of junk but I usually end up with some killer deals on quality clothes. It's practically ruined me for retail!
I like that you give yourself money every paycheck that is guilt free. The key to this is you ARE allowed to spend a REALISTIC PORTION of your money that you have earned. I have been paying myself in this matter for two years now. I only withdraw what i allow myself to spend. When i have money left over in my wallet, i have that additional amount the next week. Eventually i gather enough cash in wallet to treat myself with something real nice. You may want to try this. It works!
I live in the cold midwest, and find that thermal undershirts under shirts and lightweight sweaters work well. I also love ruanas (shawls) to put on over my clothes at work and at home.
Sticking to a budget works in different ways for different people. And there IS something to be said for having access to a validated (stamped paid) check if you need a copy. Great post!

just wanted to say...quitting and failing over and over is the only way my body wants to do anything!!...i quit and failed 4 times before i was able to finally stop nicotine...so quitting and failing is probably what i'll have to do before getting off caffeine sticks...just letting ppl know so youre not so hard on yourself if you fail this time...it just means the next time it just might stick!!

I submitted a modification packet the end of August, today I received a letter of denial stating I had not submitted the required documentation!! Really - how about the fedex in September and the 3 faxes in October. So, I called them and their comment was we needed UPDATED information which you never sent..again REALLY??? The letter I received never stated you needed UPDATED information...it said information was missing or incomplete. They are the biggest rip off and do not clarifiy exactly what they are looking for, I guess you are supposed to read between the lines. I can not sell this house because I owe more then it is worth and it needs major repairs, which I can not afford.
Thieves sell stolen bicycles on Craigslist constantly. Why? Because it's fast, easy, and untraceable. Any chump has access to the site. If you are considering buying a bike on CL, consider these moves.
1. Respond to lengthy ads where the owner really has something to say about the bike beyond a basic description. Photos do not suffice.
2. Talk to the seller. They should have a story of ownership and repair.
3. Does the product match the owner? (You know what I mean.)
4. Meet them in the driveway of their home, not a street corner, ally or anonymous public location.
5. Check the serial number against police records. This takes one phone call. Look online for announcements of stolen bikes to make sure it's not listed. Websearch "stolen bike registry" with the name of your city. Or check CL!
If this sounds like a lot of effort to you, please consider how awful it is to have your beloved bicycle stolen. YOU can discourage such crime by being a wise and responsible CL shopper. Happy riding!
Definitely shop in the off season. "Spring" in Michigan doesn't really start until the end of April, but that doesn't stop department stores from putting outerwear on deep discount long before that. My husband and I both got great deals on Columbia jackets w/ zip-out fleeces at Kohl's. They are great for winter but since they are 2-pieces, you use it almost all year.
I usually save on winter clothes by buying them in the summer. I won't usually buy that many jackets and pants but if I find something that I know I can use in a few months later then I'll definitely buy them.

I get a latte every Friday and really look forward to it. It is easy to get burned out from scrimping and saving.

I have a pretty basic wardrobe of fitted Gap t-shirts, casual pants, and skirts. Over the winter I add cardigans, jackets, tights, and scarves.
