I purchased my Sprint phone on Monday, 05 May 2008. I should have received the rebate by Monday, 11 August 2008, at the very latest. I repeatedly submitted the rebate request and each time Sprint claimed the requested was never received. After submitting the rebate request numerous times via mail, fax, and email each and every time with Sprint continuing to claim the rebate request was never received I began filing rebate fraud complaints against Sprint in March 2009. I filed complaints with the Attorney General's Office to the Better Business Bureau. I filed Sprint rebate fraud complaints with every TV reporter to blogs in London and Australia. Sprint lied to me and the Better Business Bureau about this matter. Sprint reported to the BBB that a representaive had spoken with me and the matter is resovled. That was a lie! I was subjected to playing this game of repeatedly confirming my mailing address with an executive services analyst. I confirmed my mailing address 10 times. This is the same mailing address that the account statements are consistently received but not the rebate check. This company had no intentions of sending the rebate check and that is fraud! I have filed a Sprint rebate fraud complaint to a total of 120 agencies/sites/blogs and would not stop until I received my rebate check and three months free service for this blatant fraudulent behavior. A year and a half later I finally received my rebate check from Sprint! This poor excuse for a company would not give me the three months free service for enduring this attempted fraud and for being a Sprint customer for so many years. On May 12, 2008 it was reported by Fortune that Sprint lost 1.09 million customers. This statistic will increase because in exactly 6 months my contract will expire and I will not renew my subscription. This company is so foul.
Full service moving would have cost me upwards of $5000 to move from the West Coast to the East Coast. Renting a U-Haul would have cost $2000+ not including fuel.
I instead ended up using ABF's U-Pack service where they drop a container in front of your house, you load it, and they haul it as a shared load on trailers and deliver it to your house on the other side. It cost only ~$1400 and let me gradually pack/unpack over several days rather than be stressed out about trying to get everything moved in the span of a single day.
There was minimal breakage (mostly plates that weren't adequately packed), the truck with my shipment arrived a day or two ahead of schedule, and everything was trackable online. The price quotes were super easy and online as well. I wholeheartedly recommend the service.
Folks,
I have sat here and read all these ideas from various folks. People calm down!!! This has been blown way out of control!!! I am a Director of Operations for a Finance Company. Speaking from experence, Netspend is a prepaid card and doesnt report to Equifax Good or Bad... I have Great Credit, 2 Bank Accounts although I have 4 Netspend Cards. I do alot online and I would much rather use Netspend and only put on the card what I want to spend or feel secure with. The word ONLINE, people dont think about is you cant see or verify who you are chating with. Do you want to give personal information across possiblly the World without ever seeing a live person??? Keep your Big Money on a Creatable Bank Card and use on a day to day when dealing with a live person, use the Netspend card for people or Companies you CANT see. No CBI reporting - No worries!!! Little money on the Netspend Card - When gone No Worries!!! Think about it!!! Simple but soild advise.
I have been using netspend when I traveled and used it when I decided to cut up my credit cards. I do not use it at an ATM, why should I, I just get cash when I make a debit transaction and incur no fees. And I only pay $10 a month and never have per transaction fees. Also, I have actually been able to save money, using their savings account plan. And all you have to do is have direct deposit and some transaction fees are waived.
Have you seen check cashing fees lately? $8 on $400 at 7/11.
I don't think it is right that they sent it to you unsolicited, but did they? You can get a netspend card if you have certain transactions, over the web, that you do not pay attention to the check boxes, like doing your taxes on TaxAct.
I find that taking a few simple, supplements does a lot to help my immune system get through. The main ones I take are - zinc, vitamin C, vitamin B and velvet antler supplements from New Zealand. I am a little wary of the 'swine flue' anyway. When you look at statistics on the number of people that have died from it worldwide compared to the number of people that die from just ordinary flu it is quite interesting.
I agree wholeheartedly with you. I also use NetSpend and have had far less problems with it than let's say, Bank of America, who charges for every little thing you do with your account. I even had a couple friends convert to NetSpend, because rather than their whole weekly paychecks going to B of A's "overdraft" fees, they would rather pay Netspend's monthly membership charge of $9.95 and be done with it. If the money isn't on the card, guess what? You can't spend what's not there. I also have some iffy credit history that started about 15 years ago when companies were sending out pre-approved credit cards and loan checks, and yes, I fell for the bait. I charged those credit cards and cashed those loan checks that were randomly sent to my mailbox. But in this day and age, online shopping, for instance, one needs to possess a credit card. So, NetSpend is my answer for over 2 years now. If you get one in the mail, don't trip. If you choose not to activate it, the card means nothing, and has no $$ value. You have to put money on it to have any cash value.
Though this place may not be the right place to sell my hair, I am wondering if there's anyone interested of buying a black, and never been treated hair. I never smoke nor drink and always make it a habit to take good care of my hair. I am willing to cut and sell 20" of my hair. For anyone interested, promptly contact me through cute_jon00100(at)yahoo.comm
The idea of giving someone homemade Kahlua is amazing! Can't wait to see the look on my friends' faces... and it's such a cheap Christmas gift idea too.
Yes - I DO feel pressure to shop Black Friday. It's like a "evil force" stores are putting on society. Besides the store ads, there's the TV commercials, online ads, Black Friday web sites (if you've subscribe to them - I did). Then! it's the major news channels networks working on you too! Black Friday - everywhere - like you can't "think" without Black Friday brain-washing.
Resist people resist!! Afterall - if you didn't get "it" would you Really, really, (life would'nt be worthwhile) STILL BE ALIVE after Black Friday sales are over?
I agree! Paying for extended warranty is an unnecessary expense.
Most products are designed to perform their intended function while being durable. I have never used the included warranty in any of the products that I bought. I think 1 year warranty should be enough.
Make sure to read your rental truck fine print. My truck was not available at my reservation time, so I pointed out the 50% refund clause. They refunded 50% & upgraded me to a larger truck at a different location.
I don't count the savings from rebates in our monthly budget. It's for an item we were going to purchase anyway. I automatically add the rebate check to our savings. ( I do the same with a rewards card that applies the monthly cash back to the statement...it subtracts it from the bill. I add whatever that amount was to our savings each month.)
As for the work of filling out the form..I'll do that while I'm listening to the news that evening, so I don't see it as a hassle. And I always scan everything before I mail it.
You don't know how excited I am to hear this. My husband and I are not drinkers, and my husband refuses to believe that any bit of alcohol could have a positive effect on a person. However, the man can kill 2 bottles of chocolate milk within a minute. LOL! Thanks for this information!
Sodium Laureth Sulfate is also used in dish detergent, for the sudsing. Also, during production it is sometimes mixed with a chemical that is carcinogenic.
Richard (#4) - note the way Adam worded it...if you *need* to use the card, don't buy it. He didn't say 'don't use the card'; if you have the cash for it, but put it on the cards for rewards purposes, go for whatever works.
Just make sure you don't touch that cash before the bill comes in, obviously.
I just bought a few bottles of wine from CVS on my way home, which of course were on sale. So already thinking that I got a good deal on some pretty decent wine - come Sunday and I see a $5 rebate for wine. It was a buy two special, and I just so happen to buy the two same brands out of three choices! It was very exciting! I made $5 minus postage. Rebates are like free money - why not do them.
I send for rebates on items that I use. I keep scans of all the documents and details though. Have only had one rebate not show up years ago, that's pretty good.
I don't understand why someone would kill themselves over say a coffee maker for $10!! A couple years ago Walmart had $5 coffee makers, toasters etc. People complained when these items broke after being used a few times. Seriously an unknown brand coffee maker for $5, and people think it is going to last a long time??? I could never give an item like this as a present. If I cannot afford to get a name brand, quality item for someone, then I make homemade items or a gift basket filled with their favorite treats! You are right Black Friday is about getting rid of the stores low quality goods. And that $49 tool that is on sale for $7; they are still making a profit off of it. The sales already have been very good, so I am just about done shopping. I always set a budget per person on my list and as a rule do not go over, or if I do it might be by $20-50 total of the whole amount budgeted. Paying cash also helps stay in line. If you only have so much with you, you are forced to stay the course! So, come Friday I will be hunkered down in my sweats with my hubby, enjoying quality time together!!

Anything with ridiculous maintenance costs. That means nothing that needs to be dry cleaned, sucks up batteries, or is a pain in the rear to clean.

Sorry, that link was velvet antler supplements from New Zealand.

I do rebates only for things I'd otherwise buy since they often are so late and fraught with "issues"!

I don't purchase based on rebates. However, if there is a rebate I will send it in, I have never had the company not send me the rebate.
Des anyone buy gray hair?
I do take advantage of rebates but only on products I would've purchased anyway. Hey, any money back is good, right?!
