Lamentations of the Wooters: I'm Heading to Charlotte!

Have you completely run out of places to turn for advice? Write into lamentations@woot.com for Kristy’s completely useful guidance (well, at least for one more week)! Read on for this week’s emails: Here's my lamentation:

My home phone number is being bombarded with insurance company calls!

This started 2 weeks ago. When I answered the first call the woman asked for my husband, he was at work. She said she was calling about his requests for insurance quotes on a car he does not even own. She said he sent the request to her company through his Hotmail email account. He does not HAVE a Hotmail account. We have been getting calls from 6 different companies, all listed as repeat offenders on the “who just called me” or other frequent call lists online.

Music Monday: Songs About Yesterday

Happy Music Monday! Today Scott's focusing on yesterday. KBOOM THERE GOES YOUR MIND no, seriously, the theme of this week's Music Monday is songs about yesterday. Make sense? Excellent! Let's go.

The Carpenters - Yesterday Once More

Nostalgia isn't something that only '90s kids will understand. The Boomers pretty much INVENTED pointless nostalgia. This song about what it was like to listen to old songs is lovely, and sweet, and a Carpenters classic. Shoobee doo bang bang.

Tomorrow you'll look back on this post ever so fondly. But only if you meet us after the jump. See you inside!

Foreigner - That Was Yesterday

Music Monday: It's Fall

Happy Music Monday! September is a magical month that bridges two seasons. It starts with the end of summer and it ends with the start of fall. So we're gonna celebrate the impending autumn with a whole bunch of fall related songs. How fall related, you ask? Hey! Scott's about to answer!

The Fall - Kurious Oranj

What's more fall than the color orange? Mark E. Smith might not have meant his song to be so appropriate, but I'm super glad that it all worked out this way. Get into that Fall groove!

More to come, after the jump. Hurry! Even now the leaves begin to turn!

Bob Dylan - A Hard Rain's Gonna Fall
