The SEO landscape is in a state of constant flux. There are
drastic changes occurring regularly every 6 months or so as Google rolls out
sweeping changes to its core algorithm. At the same time, small tweaks are
constantly being made here and there; split tests are being run; people find
different tactics that work extremely well for a short time before failing
entirely.
Basically, the world of search engine optimisation is a
world of chaos.
However, there is still a guaranteed way of staying
successful as an SEO practitioner, whether you’re a freelancer, a consultancy,
or an in-house marketing team.
According to Heavygate Marketing,
the trick is to stay creative.
Creative SEO
Most SEO agencies rely on set tactics for getting their
client’s websites to rank.
They employ the same tactics on their own websites too.
It's good to take stock of things periodically. Here I compare our personal finance goals from six years ago, to today, and hit on the biggest game-changer: budgeting …
Blogging has a lot of benefits. In one sense, it's a public journal: a place to document what's going on. The journaling part is valuable for the blogger, of course, but it also has the chance of being valuable for anyone else willing to read it. (By the way … thank you for reading!)
Sometimes I was bold enough to post goals for all to see. Sometimes this worked out; other times not. Either way it went, what I wrote was a reflection of where my family was at the time.
Banking is a relationship, and its breakups are as logistically difficult as any other.
Consumers may not feel emotionally connected to their banks, but they are tied to financial institutions in other ways that can make it hard to walk away. For more than a decade, I’ve been in just such a banking relationship with Bank of America, and I’m finding it far easier to stay than to go.
Back in 2007, I moved to Boston and discovered that Bank of America was basically everywhere I looked. It had acquired local bank FleetBoston just three years earlier and had outposts all over the city. There was one near my apartment, a Bank of America ATM at my subway station, a branch near my job, a branch near my next job, and a branch just down the street from the apartment I later moved into with my wife.
This is the sixth entry in an eight part series exploring the connections between your finances and other areas of your life.

I’m almost positive that if you met me on a typical day, your idea of my net worth based on your first impression wouldn’t be a high one. Most of the time, in the late fall through early spring, I’m wearing a hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. They’re usually fresh and clean and in pretty good shape (I save my raggedy clothes for wear around the house), but they’re pretty plain and unassuming. On cold days, I usually wear a fairly worn Carhartt coat, something that’s pretty standard for adult men near where I live.
I usually drive a used minivan, about five years old, so you wouldn’t pick that out as a car driven by someone making a lot of money. It’s not a fancy model and has an unassuming grey color.
You won’t find me at the local country club or anything like that.
When big storms hit, they can often cause billions of dollars-worth of damage. We thought we’d take a look at three hurricanes that were the most costly in terms of damage caused…
3. Hurricane Sandy in 2012
Estimates suggest
that $70 billion worth of damage was caused when the storm hit the North East
of the US in October 2012. While not the most powerful storm (Category 3), it’s
100mph winds caused wide spread damage.

I have a credit card I'd like to cancel, but I don't know if I should. I'm afraid it'll hurt my credit score. Today I'm going to walk you through in real time as I evaluate this decision. Then I'm going to explain how to cancel a credit card, no matter why you want to do so.
I normally don't pay much attention to my credit score. I know that it ranges between 800 and 820, so I don't worry about it. With a score like that, I'm considered to have “exceptional credit”, and that's good enough for me. (Kim's very proud that she has a higher credit score than I do, by the way.)
LED high bay light, also
known as LED warehouse light, is mainly used in workshops of mechanical
manufacturing industry. It is an essential part of public lighting and the best
choice for the energy-saving transformation of traditional industrial plants.
With the continuous development and progress of LED lamps, the competition in
the market is becoming more and more fierce, and at the same time, some
unqualified products will appear. So, in the face of this situation, how should
we distinguish the quality of LED high bay light?

The lower the power factor is, the worse the driving power and circuit design settings are, which will significantly reduce the durability of LED high bay light.

According to an authoritative article in American Psychologist magazine, it’s not money that determines our happiness, but the presence of some combination of these three attributes:
(1) autonomy, the extent to which we have the ability to control our own lives, “to do our own thing”;
(2) maintaining connectiveness with other human beings, in the form of love of our families, our pleasure in friends and colleagues, and an openness with those we meet in all walks of life; and
(3) exercising competence, using our God-given and self-motivated talents, inspired and striving to learn.

“Oh good,” Kim said when I rolled out of bed yesterday morning. “I’m glad you’re up.” She gets up at 5:30 for work most days, but I tend to sleep in. Especially during allergy season.
“Huh?” I grunted. It was 6:10 and I was very groggy. My evening allergy meds kick my butt. Plus, I hadn't had my coffee yet.
“Something’s wrong with the bathroom sink,” she said. “Look. It’s leaking. The floor is soaked.” She wasn't kidding. The bathmat was drenched. When I looked under the vanity, I was greeted by a small lake.
“Ugh,” I grunted. This wasn't how I wanted to start my day.
Kim kissed me goodbye and hurried off to work. I pulled on a pair of pants, poured some coffee, pulled out the vanity drawers, and got to work.
One of my favorite personal finance ideas is the true hourly wage.
Your true hourly wage is an easy concept to understand. Basically, you add up all of the hours you either work or devote to work-related tasks in a year (this includes things like your commute or working at home), then you add up all extra expenses that you incur due to work in a year (taxes, clothing, commuting costs, fuel, and so on). Take your annual salary, subtract all of the extra work-related expenses, and then divide that resulting number by the total number of hours devoted to work, and you get your true hourly wage.
For those of you who regularly have to do the same task in
Microsoft Excel, it may be a good idea to create a macro to automate particular
processes.
A macro is a process that you are able to initiate to
complete common tasks that need done in Excel. To create a Macro in Excel, you need
to “record” your mouse clicks and keystrokes to tell Excel how to do the repetitive
task you are looking to automate. Then, you don’t need to do this process
again. You can then edit and improve the macro over time if required.
Here is an example of when a macro would be useful. Maybe
each month you have to create a detailed report for a fellow employee about the
latest accounts. A good use of a macro would be to highlight the details of the
overdue customers in red with a bold format. You can create a macro to
completely automate this process making it easier for next month.
