Kobalt 80V Chainsaw Review
Kobalt Chainsaw 80V: Initial Impressions
The battery is the most obvious upgrade. This bad boy offers an 80V lithium-ion rechargeable battery. The battery can be used interchangeably with the 80V Kobalt mower blower string cutter as part of the 80V Series of Kobalt outdoors power equipment. A 2.0 Ah battery charges in just 30 minutes. That’s impressive, considering the battery is 144 watts. The battery-powered chainsaw produces less noise than a gas one, but it emits no gas fumes and mixes oil and gas much more efficiently than a gas saw.
As part of my new commitment to just being me, I hope to share a lot more random stuff around here — just like I used to. Instead of waiting for weeks (or months) in order for inspiration to strike for a longer essay, I want to share the best of the interesting money stories (and semi-money stories) that I find around the interwebs.
Think of it as Apex Money, I guess, but instead of sharing three to five discoveries each day, I may share one or two a week. And instead of editing and polishing these pieces, they'll just be quick braindumps with minimal attention to detail.
Today, for instance, here's a 103-minute YouTube video about the lines at Disney theme parks.
If you're a nerd like me (and I know that many of you are!), this is fascinating stuff.

Ryobi 40V Chainsaw Review
Ryobi Ry40511 40V Brushless Chainsaw Review
We will be reviewing the Ryobi RY40511 40V Brushless Chainsaw. Buyers may be confused by the many product numbers of this saw. Let’s get that out of our heads.
The RY40511 is the kit version, which contains the battery and charger. This saw takes the place of the RY40510B. To make matters worse, the RY40502 saw is available. This saw is identical to the RY40502 but does not include a battery or charger.

Husqvarna 440 Chainsaw Review
Husqvarna 440 Review – Pros, Cons And Verdict
If a bag manufacturer has over six decades experience, it means they have been there through everything and are still here to stay. Husqvarna’s name is synonymous with the chainsaw market. Because of their large selection of chainsaw models, Husqvarna has been a major player in the sector.
Milwaukee M18 Chainsaw Review
My Thoughts On Features And Build Quality:
Milwaukee must have more outdoor power tools as their cordless 18V range. Before the chainsaw, there was only one blower (2 models), string and hedge trimmers, respectively. While this was a great start, the limited number of options left Milwaukee customers with no choice but to wait or look elsewhere if they need a pole saw, mower, edger, or other power tools. Milwaukee M18 users are now able to purchase an M18-style chainsaw. While it’s far from a perfect solution, this tool is one step closer to the ideal.
Makita Chainsaw Review
Ergonomics
Makita’s old 36V chainsaw had received high customer ratings and the new one is just as good. We see a slightly different design. There are two major improvements: move the battery from the back to center of the saw, and bring the D-handle in place. It looks and feels more like a traditional chainsaw. The battery balance can be improved by mounting the batteries between the users’ hands.
The Makita XCU03 does most of your work. It’s light enough to make me leave my gas saw in the shop and cuts smoothly and powerfully enough that I’m not putting much effort into it. That’s the way a great chainsaw should feel while you use it.
I recently flew to Cincinnati, Ohio to attend the second-annual EconoMe Conference. I had one of the best weekends of my life.
I can't say that the conference itself was the reason for this peak experience. There's no question that I enjoyed interacting with the speakers and attendees. As the video below demonstrates, the main-stage talks were both entertaining and educational. The conversations at the venue were great too. I reconnected with old friends and made some new ones.
But while I enjoyed EconoMe, the conference was mostly incidental to making my weekend great. EconoMe was merely the vehicle for bringing everyone together so that I could experience the laughter and conversations I enjoyed for five days.
Chainsaw Man Review
My Manga Shelf Presents Volume 1: The Bonkers Delightful Chainsaw Man
Chainsaw Man is a manga series that embraces the uniqueness and bombastic beauty of manga. The anime had just been announced. This was something I knew about, but I didn’t know much. Folks were THRILLED to see this series getting an anime adaptation, especially since MAPPA was gonna be the studio behind it.
After having read the entire first volume (actually the first chapter), I was immediately captivated by the series. Time to get a piece of bread and some jam. Then curl up with a big chainsaw puppy.

Echo Chainsaw Review
What Are The Best Echo Chainsaws for You?
A chainsaw is essential for arborists. A power tool that works well and is reliable would typically be a heavy-duty choice. These are the traits that have always been associated with particular chainsaw manufacturers than others.
When you ask chainsaw enthusiasts about their favorite brand, there’s a good chance that they won’t recommend the Echo Chainsaw. It is true that we were skeptical about these chainsaws before doing extensive research.

Dewalt 60V Flexvolt Max Chainsaw Review
Amazon offers the DEWALT FLXVOLT 60V MAX SAWKIT, which is the upgraded version of the earlier model.
This saw is equipped with a 16-inch blade and the 60v battery. It costs a little more than the MAX XR, but you are getting a larger, more powerful chainsaw.
Dewalt 20V Chainsaw Review
Intro | Dewalt Dccs620P1
DeWalt launched their FlexVolt line of tools. Older 20V Max tools often go on sale at very low prices. These are great bargains for those who seek the highest quality engineering, and a reasonable price for DeWalt’s products.
Milwaukee Chainsaw Review
What are My Thoughts on Features and Build Quality?
As I was saying in the opening sentence, Milwaukee needs additional outdoor power tools in their cordless 18V line up as before this chainsaw, they only had a blower (2 models), string trimmer and hedge trimmer. Although it was an excellent start, there were very few choices. This left customers with limited options to choose from or continue waiting. Milwaukee users now have the option of a M18 chainsaw. It’s still not a complete solution but they are one more tool better than they were before.
Ego Chainsaw Review
Ego Chainsaw Quality and Features
The EGO CS1400 chainsaw is unlike any other chainsaw. Because we have reviewed many cordless saws, we know this. The engineers have decided to throw out all of their traditional design principles. EGO chose to weigh the tool, placing the battery beneath the handle and in a side loading position. This offsets the weight of the brushless motor. You will also feel more balanced when moving the saw back and forward to make a cut.
A new Get Rich Slowly subscriber emailed me yesterday to alert me of two problems.
Fixing the email sequence will take some work. It wouldn't take much effort to make it functional again, but while I'm in there mucking around, I might as well make a pass to revise it. The info and examples are five years old. (Meanwhile, the current version of The Money Boss Manifesto can be downloaded here.)
Fixing the shared documents on Google Drive was easy, though. They should once again be publicly viewable. Please let me know if they're not.
