Why would you worry about building up your credit score when you are completely out of debt? If you are, you should be able to, over several months or a couple of years, save up for a large purchase. It is not unheard of to pay for a car or house with cash.
Why would you want to get a better credit score just so you can secure a loan and go right back into debt?
I can get eggs for $1.10 at the local dollar general store. $1 pasta sauce, bread for $1.19, peanut butter ( store brand ) $1.89, plus many other cheap items. Sometimes you have to think outside the box And shop places other than just grocery stores.
Zip lock bags and your freezer.
Cooking for one is not generally inspiring, but when I cook something special for myself or for guests, I make More than I need. Then I freeze my spicy peppered chicken soup, 11 breakfast muffins, lasagne, or chicken cordon bleu in zip lock sandwich bags.
I shop for one "special" meal that I can freeze each week and freeze at least 4 baggies.
They thaw quickly in small servings, provide variety, eliminate a lot of waste, have healthful ingredients, and are ready to eat in minutes.
What a criminal waste of earnings power! Guess they never practiced sensible frugality. Meanwhile, every day Joes far away from mainstream celebrity status can, through diligent saving and investing, get to $1 million net worth status. My website shows some of the common traps to avoid, but I am not mentioning it here so it doesn't look like a plug for my blog.
I'm a big fan of this trend in apps and FinTech in general. Personally I've only experimented with Acorns but intend to give the other two mentioned here a shot as well.
One thing I found very interesting about Acorns was how, following the Brexit selloff, they sent e-mails to users explaining what was happening and provided data that showed staying the course was the best move. It's little things like that that can have a big impact on educating the younger generation(s) about investing. Kudos to them.
You pay for that cheaper cheat ride by higher insurance rates and cost of living. Über doesn't cover drivers on their way to pick you up. They also don't cover the drivers that get hurt whether they have a passenger or not. Higher medical prices anyone. No the divers personal insurance company won't cover them. Extra coverage for the diver you say well after they pay for gas tires car insurance car washes phone and all the other expenses and get screwed by über on their cut of the ride the only one smiling is the billionaire owner.
I tend to buy the same things over again so I have been buying frozen item X at Target where it is the best price and fresh item Y at the ethnic store because they have the best price and item Z at Trader Joe's because I love its taste best.
We primarily shop at Festival Foods - they consistently have the best price, good selection and wonderful store employees. If we're short on just one or two items we might show at one store a bit closer but the selection isn't as good (esp fruit and deli because of low turnover) anf prices are higher; sometimes it's not worth the extra gas $ to go to the better store.
Question my husband's father took out a life insurance policy on him when he was a child his parents got divorced and his father let his mother take over payment when he was 18 he is now 33 and his father said he can now cash it in but his mother is a different person now and his father says she is going to cash it in and keep the money for her self is this legal? Can she do this without my husband's concent? Thanks
I no faith in the lottery, I never won just spending money into a black hole , lottery winners who do win get all this money for themself ,the cycle goes around the dumb people pay for someone to get filthy rich .
Albertsons, Costco, Target, Amazon, Sam's Club, Ralph's, small grocers for special (ethnic) items, Trader Joe's. We have learned where to find the best quality at the lowest prices.
There are so many grocery stores within a 10 minute drive so I usually look at the circulars for the week and go to a couple that have the best sales. And I always buy my produce and Korean products at the Korean market. The produce is so cheap! I can get 10 green onion bundles for $1 as opposed to .99 for one at my local ralphs.
I suffer from extreme Chemical Sensitivities. I can't use Ammonia. I get extremely sick from it. Any Suggestion on a Replacement for it? I am Wondering is Coffee or Epsom Salts would be a Good Replacement? It would be less harsh on the Environment too. Any Thoughts?
I shop at SAMs Club
I honored to be included in your list Anna. I’m going to read the others right now
