Very nice. I hadn't heard about the Danish model before, and I like it. Lend money that you actually have and that you actually have a stake in protecting...........novel!
I admit that I was a gym junkie for many years. I loved the atmosphere of the gym, the friends that I made there, and the chance to have the gym daycare center watch my kiddos while I worked out and took a break from life for a bit.
Now that I live rurally, there are no such options. I HAD to come up with a home gym scenerio, and with the brutal Nebraska winters limiting my outdoor activities, it just made good sense. I am saving money, too, so I thought "why not pass these tips along?"
1) IPO - Newly launch listed companies use this way to get more funds to purchase land/building using investors money. It is cheap and no need to repay.
2) They issue rights, which force their existing investors to put in more money or sell it to others who in turn put in more money into the company. It is cheap, but will devalue a share price, which I think doesn't matter in the long run.
I'm against paying for a gym, not only for the fact that there monthly fees are pretty expensive, but also they try to tempt you with additional services you have to pay for.
Another way they try to extract money from their customers is by locking them into long term contracts.
So it's nice to see a great post about the alternatives.
I have read your article and Now I am filled with joy and encouragement. For most of us, everyday stress and anxiety has become an unavoidable part of present life.We can get relief from Anxiety using anxietyattackstreatment's Programs. These programs are 100% trusted. They are very effective. It could be a good solution for you if you’re on a budget. It uses a new technique that shows how to get immediate Anxiety relief without any medication. It also provide money back guarantee in some programs. I think you should try their programs.
My wife and I actually went to live in a third world country to try to live a simpler life. After almost a year, we felt we could not wait to come back to the US. We were able to change our perspective in life and made drastic changes to our lifestyle. However, the important lesson we learned is that we can do the same thing here. The grass is (most of the time) not greener on the other side. We were able to adjust to living a simple life while we were in overseas but the threat of dangers from kidnappers, armed robbers, corrupt government and law enforcement, heavy pollution, opportunistic relatives and chaotic environment is just too much to deal with. Sometimes I hear people want to retire and live overseas thinking they will be able to live a simple life on a few cents per day. I recommend they live in the country of their choice for at least six months before they make their final decision.
Unless if we're camping out, I always find we spend more than we wanted to on accommodation! It just adds up so fast. But I will say that there are times when we find a place for the right place that is more than just a room to sleep in and store your luggage. We've made friends with innkeepers, gotten travel ideas from breakfast table conversations, and ventured further off the beaten path (and loved it!) - all from picking the right inn or b&b.
What a fantastic idea!! I will definitely make note of the "Time & Date" website.
This will also add some extra spice to flea market, thrift and garage sale hunting! Those vintage calendars have so much more character, and how fun would it be if there were actually notes from the early 1900's!!
I have had more time than money, and made everything stretch as far as I could. I have had money and no time, and paid for convenience. I have no trouble going back to not much money because I was raised to value and save. I have lived in my 1,000 sq. ft. house and raised two children while developments sprung up around us. My children know that money is a tool, not an end to itself. We stay warm, and eat healthy and sleep well because we never bought into the fantasy.
I am glad that someone is finally willing to stand up and say enough, but I also heard today that the cost of this inauguration is triple the amount that 8 years ago was considered sinful. I guess the hangover comes the day after?
Remember wild dogs & our ancestors dogs didn't live as long as ours do now. Bacteria never concerned me with raw diets, they have a shorter digestive tract.....but worms....ick!
My husband was really interested in house flipping. His sister is a real estate agent and she was buying houses, having him fix them up, then flipping them. She was getting all the big money while he was doing the hard work. I was a little hesitant about it, and luckily it never got to the point where we actually invested in a home ourselves. Then the bubble burst and all the work his sister was sending his way dried up, since she was having problems. It was very tempting the thought of making a lot more money, but I'm glad we didn't get stuck with a second house payment.
I used to play RS yeah, but after 4 years I found it wasted my life. It USED to be good, but then the graphics got out of date, and yes, lots of kids got on and were very obnoxious... I still play about once or twice a month, but it's graphics compared to all others are unspeakable. I play GuildWars now... Waaay better.
If you want to do anything with your lower body, get a rack with an olypic bar and weights, you can do lunges, squats, good mornings, followed by some straight legged dead lifts and you wont be able to walk for a week
woman will only gain muscle tone and burn fat, men will build more muscle doing these same lifts, this is due to testosterone
The only flaw in the list is that many of the solutions work well with hindsight but not necessarily in the heat of the moment. For example, the problem with #6 is that even many of the experts got the ratings of financial institutions wrong. Or when assessing whether to invest in Madoff's fund. But the overall theme of the list, diversify, is indeed the solution to whatever the problem is with any one of bulletpoint. Thanks!
I googled that all last week wondering if I was deluding myself or if the warming up was helpful. Thank you for confirming it :)
I've got a 13 year old Toyota with 82k miles on it. I want the car to stay as happy as possible for as long as possible. So during the sub, sub zero temps with even subber-zero wind chills I actually went out and warmed it up over my lunch hour in addition to morning and evening. Thankfully my parents have a garage so with a little bit of planning I was able to keep it out of the wind for the worst nights.
The story that comes to mind is the classic one of the princess and the pea who could not be comfortable on a mountain of mattress due to one pea in there somewhere. In contemporary society it seems that that finicky idea of being "discriminating" and only demanding the best "because you are worth it" has created consumption monsters. Who "needs" thousand dollar purses for most of life's experiences? Not a middleclass American! But they have talked themselves into the princess syndrome and bitch and whine if they are "deprived." Or boast about their costly collection of designer handbags as if that gave endowed them with some special something. Bitching has almost become a virtue which is construed as coming from your delicate sensibilities! Those folks have needed to come down a peg for a long time and sadly, the economic collapse is their downward trajectory and not a pleasant one, either. Yes, many of us are spoiled and darn near deluded! This, hopefully, will clear up quickly.
This makes me wonder what the next bubble will be?
Just since the market crashed I have had people trying to sell my on various survivalist products (ala y2k) and some lame scheme that claimed you will make millions. The scheme involved giving them a couple thousand dollars to join in. The scheme was just using things like Linkshare to get % referrals for online retailers. This scam seemed to be targeting church groups of non tech savvy people.
It seems like there is always one of these floating around. It makes me wonder how they go from small time scam to big time bubble.
I've set up 5 boxes now (2 pieces of junk that my grandparents were given for their coupons and 3 boxes that actually functioned). Your grandparents/elderly relatives/elderly neighbors might be more techy than mine. But for my 80-something grandparents the set up was well beyond what they were capable of managing. They don't have a computer; have never had cable; and just want to watch the news and sports. Most of the reviews for boxes were only available online and the well-reviewed model I ended up getting them was only available online. Woe to those without grandchildren or neighbors?
I'm still having trouble figuring out how to get a decent signal in the Chicago suburbs. They must be in a lousy reception area.
I would also add that the hideously bad remotes that came with the boxes are not at all appropriate for those with bad eyesight and/or arthritis. But I haven't had any luck getting a universal remote to "talk" to the boxes yet. Your mileage may vary; it's worth a try.
Through all of the different searches and links I could find to try and get to this page, NONE happened to work they all said that the page could not be displayed...do you by any chance know why that might be? The Food Stamp Recipe Finder seems like a very nice resource, yet I can't seem to get to it.

Could it be possible that eating all the high sugar foods make apples taste not so sweet in comparison. I found when I switched from packaged sugary fatty foods 3 years ago that I find that sort of stuff unbearably sweet now where as an apple or any other piece of fruit is the right amount of sweet.

Hi,
Instead of borrowing or mortgage:
1) IPO - Newly launch listed companies use this way to get more funds to purchase land/building using investors money. It is cheap and no need to repay.
2) They issue rights, which force their existing investors to put in more money or sell it to others who in turn put in more money into the company. It is cheap, but will devalue a share price, which I think doesn't matter in the long run.

It appears to have been a temporary glitch with the USDA's servers. I was also unable to get to the site an hour ago, but it seems to be working now.
