A good one. I love being able to make my own stuff and to know what's in the products as much as possible.
Another alternative to the petroleum based jellies is plain vegetable shortening. I've never used it on babies, but I've used it for night balm on lips, elbows, heels, knees, etc.
Chase doesn't care anymore... I had a similar situation and they didn't care at all if I was leaving them... Ironically I got a loan from BNY to pay off Chase so I could cancel them altogether... and before long, wouldn't you know it... BNY became Chase!! Argh!
They're all evil... I only wish I could get rid of them all, but I'm buried under in my debt!
Mix hydrogen peroxide and regular dish soap together. Soak fabric. In 20 minutes, the red wine is gone. I've used this on various articles of clothing and carpet.
I think the boiling was just to make sure the ingredients dissolved evenly. But it's good to hear that these work for many people. And thanks for the tip on not using cheap paper towels!
I totally used them for my 2 kids, when someone gave me the "recipe" years ago.
They worked just fine, and really cut down on costs!
I used Scott Paper Towels...they were the strongest, at least 8 years ago!
*I got REALLY cheap once, and tried econo brand paper towels, and it did not work, so don't bother!)*
I didn't boil the water first, though. And my kids lived! LOL.
Have been on the fence about this and a rice cooker... Read this and came down from the fence. Found one on the local classifieds, AWESOME! Three days later... it's a nice way to cook. The time savings is absolutely golden. Think of the efficiency savings! It makes so much sense. Thanks for the push.
If you were to get a hol ein your shower curtain, put boxing tape over the hold, loop it across the other side of the torn hole, then take a paper hole punch and create a new hole...works great.
That is a great advice to quit a job you really hate but it is also a difficult decision and action to do so. Unless, I have enough passive income or saving.
I think that the more simply you live, the happier you are. We have so many choices in life these days, something I think there are too many. For instance, life would be a lot easier if there were only 5 brands to choose from in the cereal isle instead of 155!
Julie, I am 11 yrs into my 30 yr. mortgage, which originally was 153,000.00 after putting down 70,000.00. My interest rate is 7%. I was wondering; do I now look at my mortgage as a 21 yr mortgage? Then how do I then proceed? I have 1,000.00 of discrecianary income.
I wish someone had told me this when I was a teenager. I took a multimedia class in high school and really loved it, but no one told me it was possible to do design and make web sites for a living. I figured all you could do with that is make business cards and letterheads!
I spent some years in collage and other time "discovering" myself before I figured out that I could make a living designing web sites. I could've been working on that already instead of wasting time floating around trying to figure things out. So, it's kind of ironic that I ended up doing a 360.
But, I can't complain too much because I have the opportunity to do what I feel passionate about and that's what I feel grateful for. It's never too late to start. If you really want to do something bad enough, you'll make the energy and time for it.
About one year ago I bought a refilled cartridge from these guys and guess what? Yep, it leaked and basically ruined my printer - what a mess! I was one VERY unhappy camper. They offered to replace it for free but I decided to get a different (better) printer and I have stuck to the manufacturer cartridges only since then.

I think this will help a great deal of parents.

I'm sure you are right on this, but to me there is something special about owning. Plus it's an investment that can be turned into cash if necessary.

Cool info, thanks for posting it.
I just did this recently after 7 years of working at the same place. I just felt it was time to leave. I'm glad I did it.
None of this stuff suprises me.
I've never been fired, but thanks for this info, I'll watch for the signs. If I ever get a job, that is!
LOL, I'm unemployed right now, so I just wish I had a boss to hack!
I believe that honesty is always the best policy, but that is my personal ethical an moral code. To each his own.
WOW! whodda thunk? Now we need to find 2001 usees for duct tape!
Wise advice and great ideas, especially the color-coding. I wouldn't have thought of that one.
Wow! what a huge difference it makes when you add just a little more to each payment. I need to do this.
None of this suprises me.
Maybe we should just have the "Worldo." OK I admit that was a stupid comment, lol.
Hello
Very interesting information! Thanks!
Bye
