A nice little "gem" that I just discovered for cheap airfares is Tripeedo.com

It gives you like 20 quotes from lots of airlines and it all seems to be very user-friendly.

It takes a bit of 'cooking' but ever heard of 'oil'? OK strictly speaking its 'cooked' algae but with processing you can get oil from coal.

  • Life After Bankruptcy: What's Next?   16 years 8 weeks ago

It is truly amazing to see someone speak so foul. Not everyone who filed bankruptcy did it to get away from paying their bills. Some people may have been irresponsible in the handling of their finances but alot of people were NOT. Circumstances unavoidable caused them to have to seek a relief from debt. Furthermore, unless the debt is a governmental debt or secured debt, putting a statement stating that the debt is not dischargable is moot. You can put whatever you want in a contract, but if the content of the contract is in violation of the laws in place to protect the consumer, then your inclusion of such a statement would not be even enforceable. business law 101. Accordance to the bankruptcy laws, you would not even get so much as a second look if the courts grants that person a discharge from the debt. And by the way, if the person did inherit or win the lottery in the situation you stated, they can afford to send that creditor packing by getting a damn good attorney to do so.

For all the people in here asking about cat food articles, I wrote a post on a forum a while ago regarding this. It was long and I figure it is easier to just paste in a link.

  • Homemade Dog Food: Recipe and Cost   16 years 8 weeks ago

Please do not say that dogs do not need anything but meat. This is completely, not true. Cats are obligate carnivores and only consume meat to survive. Dogs, who descend from the same animal bears do, need a good amount of plant matter in their diets. The same as humans, you cannot survive on meat alone.

As a frequent traveler, I'd recommend a slight modification to #8: "Best results often come from asking at the gate, well in advance of the flight departure." It doesn't hurt to ask for an upgrade _immediately before_ departure as well, when the airline knows it won't fill up those seats (on a relatively empty flight). Also, it benefits you and everyone else if you learn how to slide through security efficiently. I'm amazed how many people wait until they are standing next to the metal detector before they start preparing for the checkpoint. Instead, put your belt, watch, cell phone, etc. into your carry-on while you wait in line; pull your laptop out of its case; and wear shoes which easily slip on and off (or at least untie them while in line).

  • Cost Comparison: Emergency Rooms vs. Urgent Care Centers   16 years 8 weeks ago

Make sure that your Urgent Care center follows the Urgent Care pricing model. Our local Urgent Care considers themselves to officially be part of the E.R. (which is about 5 miles away), so they bill the same way, even though they call themselves Urgent Care.

They say that even though the Trauma Center E.R. is 5 miles away, because it is part of the same organization, going to the urgEnt caRe give you all the same benefits, so no decrease in costs.

The local newspaper did a huge investigation into this a few months back.

  • Write for money online series Part 3 - eHow.com   16 years 8 weeks ago

Another great post! Thanks for writing this article.

I joined eHow in November 2009. eHow is my first pay for article site. At first I was very skeptical that someone would pay novices to write, but when I received my first payment it all went away. When I first started out, I posted my articles in my social networking groups; and while most people on eHow will tell you views mean nothing, that is how I earned. The more views I received, the more I earned. Once I started connecting with eHow members who rated and commented on my articles, I noticed an increase in payments. However, people say that has no bearing on earnings.

I earned more on eHow in my first month than on AC (even with one upfront payment of $2.56)
Here are my eHow earning thus far (I don’t use any SEO or keywords “yet”):
    1st month - $3.65 with 2 articles posted
2nd month – $1.70 with 7 articles posted (one article that earned was deleted by eHow and I lost earnings)
3rd month - $5.97 with 12 articles posted (most articles written towards the end of the month)
4th month - $8.00 with 16 articles posted (again, articles written towards the end of the month)

At present, my highest earning article is at $5.00. I have heard of people who have $200 articles with 5k views) I have been told that if I start focusing on Google keywords, then my earnings will increase.

Please keep in mind that I am new to writing and to eHow, so you cannot base your decision on my earnings. Other people claim to make $2,000 a month in earnings. I am not sure how much they write to pull that off, but I can barely come up with something unique once a week. It takes me a long time to write and a long time to decide on my topic so it is a slow process for me.

    I hope this helps.

  • Why I Didn't Pay My Mortgage Off In Full   16 years 8 weeks ago

Real traders are taught that the Holy Grail to Investing doesn't exist. Real people were taught that all the planet's move about the earth, don't go to far out into the ocean(you'll fall off the earth), on and on..........

When one looks outside the box(inventor), goes against the group(thinks for self), said they found(developed) something that is supposed to be impossible(airplanes), they were once killed. Now these people are called bad names and delegated to be unheard, and ignored group.

I developed multiple arbitrages that enable me to trade(not invest) in the finacial markets, without risk(The Holy Grail to Investing), or arbitrage that anyone can do. Over 30% a year.

  • Write for money online series - Part II - Associated Content   16 years 8 weeks ago

This is a great post, and the information is accurate. Well done!

I am not a professional writer (I write for fun), but I think writing for AC and other pay-per-view sites is a great way to earn passive income. If you look at it as residual income which will continue to grow over time, then it is not so bad. You can use the money for gas or recreation without tapping into your primary funds.

I started writing last year and posted on sites such as Ezine Articles and SelfGrowth for FREE. All I got was more people wanting to host my articles for free on their site. I did it then because I had no clue about sites such as AC, eHow etc. Now I mainly post my articles on sites that pay. When I need traffic for my websites, then I write on the free sites.

If you are blogging on someone’s site for free, you only have something to gain by posting the same information on a site that pays. It is a win-win for all.

  • Life After Bankruptcy: What's Next?   16 years 8 weeks ago

Great topic. Yes, bankruptcy can feel like a depressing time in your life, but it is important to remember that just because you are "bankrupt" doesn't mean you don't have other assets.

After the bankruptcy proceedings take stock of what is left. Do you have a job, family, education, marketable skills, access to the internet and helpful information? Maximizing the tools you still have will expedite your financial recovery.

Remember it is you, not things, that is the most important factor in recovering from bankruptcy and coming back stronger.
