Hi Jay, I know what you mean. It is less of a risk if you already have the materials at hand because if a particular lesson doesn't sell you haven't spent time and effort creating something from scratch...time that could have been spent elsewhere. It's something to ponder though. Thanks for commenting!
This year for Mother's Day, we will be at Disney World. We will find have brunch at Shades of Green and then head over to Epcot to see the last of the Flower & Garden Exhibits.
I will be doing the Tough Mudder Chicago with my husband and daughter on Mother's Day this year and then going out to dinner. Not frugal, but super adventurous!
This is a great idea! Teachers barely have enough time to get their grading and planning done, so this is a great way of increasing their income without taking additional (precious) time.
Teachers are always creating stuff for free to use with their lesson plans, so, this is a good idea to start charging for it. I would probably be teaching if this was available back in the days.
Do you think teachers know about this option?
What a brilliant idea! I've never heard about this. I'm not teaching now, so it would take me way too much time to create anything, but I certainly could've used a resource like this back then. I was always creating new materials (I no longer have them, alas), and I would also have liked to purchase materials from fellow teachers.
Thanks for sharing this, Kim! Very easy to understand.
I'll definitely be linking a number of my clients to this article! I have some clients that sure could do with some knowledge on how to cut their spending (or their spouses spending!)
As a freelancer, I'd like something that doesn't require all the upfront work. Something that I can dive into immediately, with less risk. Cos I can teach, and I need the money, but I really don't have the resources to deliver a
But for an actually employed teacher, TPT sounds like a brilliant proposition.
Exactly. Even on a modest income, if your needs keep in line with what you can really afford and you sock away something for emergencies, you can weather many emergencies.
My query though is, given the time restraints that working family members have, where can they learn how to start a side hustle while being efficient with their time?
I know people who have been side hustling, and not getting anywhere for years and it's more like side wheel spinning than anything.
That's an awesome suggestion Tim. I've never thought of that.
Before, when I bought a dud stock I would feel like a complete moron, hide from it and hope it went up....until it didn't and I couldn't take it anymore and I would just sell for a major loss (I lost 50% of my overall portfolio once)
For me, buying dud stocks convinced me to get professional help creating an investing plan. That was by far the best investment I ever made (beyond learning how to manage my personal finances).
What do you think about getting professional help to craft an investment plan?

I will celebrate Mothers Day with my family together sharing a meal. We will remember our mothers who have died and those still with us.
Will probably take Mom out to brunch or dinner. It'll be nice to have the family together to celebrate!

A lot of this article doesn't apply to me. The next new car I buy will be cash, same as my current one.
I will celebrate my not cooking or washing dishes that day.

My mom died 12 years ago in May, so Mother's Day is not a good holiday for me.
I will go out to dinner with my family
Love this!! Sending to my teacher friends now :-)
By sending gifts/cards to my mom and mother-in-law since they live out of state. No kiddos yet of my own.
We'll take mom out to dinner and buy a small gift.
A family BBQ for all the Moms...Dads are cooking!

I will be celebrating Mother's Day by going out to one of my favorite restaurants with my family! I love this because I do not have to cook.
