If you will look at a cities crime index and the index is low, go from there to decide whether or not the city is worth retiring in. Otherwise you won't be safe using public transportation nor will you be safe living in a part of town you can afford on SS.

It can be as simple as calling customer service and threatening to cancel service because your bill is too high, or asking the company if you qualify for promotions currently being offered to new customers.
I totally agree with the second point that making a real connection with the customer is really important as they help us to know what are the areas required to be improved in our business.
I have one huge problem with the methodology here: if this is a list for safest cities from natural disasters, why would you then make crime statistics a factor? Based on that alone, the entire list is invalid.
