You can buy a powerful roof antenna at Walmart for $150, and install it yourself. maybe $25 for the antenna wire. Whoever wants $600 to install it is ripping you off. If you are scared to go on the roof, put it in the attic.
Marshmallow fluff is good with peanut butter, especially if you have banana slices as well. I found on a visit to New Orleans that a peanut butter and fluff sandwich can actually be more appetizing on a hot work day than classic pb&j. I'm still not sure why.
You miss the point of why someone like me shops at the dollartree. It is because i only have a dollar! I can get gum for a dollar, I don't have 8 dollars to buy a huge pack at Sam's club. I can buy 3 ounces of cashews for a dollar, i can't afford fifteen dollars for a big jar at sam's club. It would be great to be wealthy like you, i would not need to go to the dollartree at all!
Gee, I feel exactly the opposite. Cash burns a hole in my pocket; when I have plenty of it, I feel like, "Hey, I've got all this money! I can spend whatever I want!" Only when I get down to my last few bucks do I get chary about spending it. By contrast, swiping that card always feels like a *significant* act, something that needs to be done with deliberation. Maybe that's because I grew up in the era when paying with plastic was a much bigger deal than paying with cash--you had to hold the whole line up while you signed the receipt *on paper*. Isn't that quaint?
I was just talking to my boyfriend about getting a financial advisor! I got a pretty decent raise this year and I am concerned about my savings and investments. I've pretty much always been check to check, but now I need to start focusing on long term goals. I want to make sure my retirement savings is on point. I think I would like to have separate investments also but maybe that's further down the road. I need to be sure I'm saving for and using my HSA correctly, and that I'm doing what I can throughout the year to maximize my deductions also! Don't suppose you have any recommendations?!
I recently hired a financial planner that was recommended by the tax accountant (who was recommended by my favorite bank manager.) The financial planner spent about two hours getting to know me and listening to my life goals and "crazy" ideas (of fixing up an abandoned property and taking a few months off to travel.) She said, "We can set up accounts for that so that your saving more money than in a regular savings account." I was like, "Wha!?!?" I felt HEARD. It's nice to have a planner on your side. I don't talk about regular budget stuff with her (yet, anyway) but it's nice to have someone who can talk me through investment choices.
I have hired one to review retirement the last few years before we retired. Good to get the confirmation that everything was good before I quit work. Also use one now to help manage our funds.
Interesting article, I'm working online all day at home and although iam doing yoga 3 times a week I cant sit straight in front of the computer. Thanks for the info..
I don't think I would hire one unless I won the lottery!
No, I never have hired a financial planner. I think only upper-middle-class or wealthy people can afford financial planners.
I wonder what scientist would say about the corresponding seven virtues?
Chastity
Temperance
Charity
Diligence
Forgiveness
Kindness
Humility
no i've never hired a financial planner although it doesn't seem like a bad idea the older i get

No Honda's, which Honda is a motor company? Hard to believe!
I've never checked how many miles my subway train or bus have on them :)

I have never hired one but sometimes I think I need one.

Lost me at nuking sweet potatoes. DONT
I have never hired a financial planner, but I do think I'll meet with a fee-only adviser at some point in the next couple of years.
"Love means never having to say you're sorry," was, INDEED, coined by a "dude:" Erich Segal, in "Love Story."
(Now pardon me; I must go puke.)
I've never hired a financial planner but I would consider it if I came into a lot of money.

No, I never have.
We have never hired a financial planner.

Where are you getting this information that 'many of us' are chromium deficient? There isn't even an RDA on chromium so how can anyone be 'deficient'?
I have never hired a financial planner...but I will definitely do so once I open my dance studio! I'm not money-savvy so I could use the guidance.
