If we BOTH know our etiquette, then I will be sure to mention my name to you if you seem to be floundering.
The "no gifts" thing has, in my opinion, no place in personal relationships. If that is your wish, the GRACIOUS way to accomplish it is for others to spread the word, like when guests call to RSVP and so on.
Great list! LOL @ "animals" being on the "used" list - but what you're saying makes complete sense. We adopted our dog from a rescue and he's been great. People always want the new puppy from the pet store and are willing to spend $500. Not only is it cost-inefficient, but there are tons of animals out there in need of a home and nobody ever seems to want older animals. So great concept.
Also, I love the suggestion of clothes - we outgrow or outwear clothes so quickly, it makes complete sense to buy them used (and then sell them back at places like Plato's Closet!).
I live in a city but still have a small plot to plant in. It's amazing how much you can grow in a small area. I usually give away most of my vegetables because it's more than I can use. I love to watch the process of growth which is mainly why I do it.
Awesome write-up! I looove Bloody Mary mixes. Recently, I tried LAVA Bloody Mary mix and it's sooo good. Perfect spiciness too imho and love that they use non-gmo tomatoes. I finally got my cravings satisfied lol :D
The Internal Revenue Service will begin ignoring calls this tax season. If you can't make it to the deadline and want to have an extension process in the most simple and fastest way, go for FileLater.com. They got the best experts who can do the job.
I love corn and I often tried different recipes with canned corn, Recently I tried the Creamed Corn before going from corning ny to niagara falls and enjoyed it a lot with my whole family. All of them like it and I must say your shared blog give me new ideas..
Found your recipe on Pinterest. But there is no Witch Hazel in the ingredients list. As written ; 1 Tbsp honey, 40 drops Lavender EO, 15 drops Lemon EO, 15 drops Bergamot EO, 5 drops Peppermint EO, 1 tsp carrot seed oil, 1/2 C Aloe Vera gel. Looks like a great recipe to treat several conditions. How much Witch Hazel do I add to this. Thanks.
Yes we do! We have a small spot, about 30 by 40 feet, and we grow corn, tomatoes, pole beans, beets, carrots, various squashes, and tons of lettuces, chard, and kale. We freeze and can most of it, enjoying the fruits of our labor during harsh WI winters!
Might I add a word of caution? If your Android device is "rooted", many places advise AGAINST using apps like these as the security cannot be guaranteeed.
I don't buy regular grocery items on amazon, but I do get some specialty items for ridiculously cheap. (Or rather, for a good price because the stores are ridiculously overpriced.) Maple syrup is half the per-ounce cost as the grocery store, plus I get a larger container so I'm not buying it weekly. Gluten free pastas come in huge packs, but amazon has the brands and varieties I need for 1/3 cheaper per unit than the grocery store.
Amazon is not always cheaper, but the categories listed here are not always more expensive.
I plan to start my first garden once the spring weather gives me more sunny skies. I'm skipping the flowers and going for foods & herbs that I frequently buy. So far I'm planning on tomatoes, cucumber, hot peppers, cilantro, basil, and maybe a few more if space allows.
I have a vegetable & herb garden, along with some strawberries. It really helps if you keep up on the weeding so veggies don't have to compete for nutrients & water. I also collect seeds at the end of the season to use for next year's garden.
I do not have a vegetable garden yet, but once I have the space I am going to grow cucumbers, zucchini, cherry tomatoes, and sweet potatoes. There is just something about home-grown produce that enlivens the cooking (and eating) experience.
I love my garden!!
I live in an apartment, so don't have the room for a vegetable garden. I'd love some homegrown tomatoes!
PS: Crying at work to me is NOT an etiquette issue, or at least not on the part of the cryer.
OR we could all, OMG, LEARN ETIQUETTE!
Not rocket science, folks, and here's the thing:

Hi, will I be able to rent a car with a secured credit card?
Number two is just as bad as number one, but still happens to the best of us!
Great advice!
Yes! We have a large garden totally fenced in to protect it from deer. I planted salad greens, spinach, butternut squash, beets and carrots last week!

"In most cases, the stuff I really wanted because a case of out-of-sight/out-of-mind for me after a waiting period." What???
Often, by the time I saved up for something, I decided that I no longer wanted it.

I don't especially like to be outside or dirty, so no gardening for me. I do love to shop at the farmer's market, though.

@Lunachique here. I'll be there.

I don't have a veggie garden, but I really want to start one. I grew cucumbers a few years ago, and they really took off :)
My garden dirt was destroyed in storm sandy. I have tried mulch.new dirt etc and it still wont take the seeds, 0r plants. Any suggestions?
