Tonight we discovered two of these cards in my 14 year old son's wallet - a netspend card and an "achievecard VISA".... both prepaid debit cards. he had signed the back of them. He has NO CLUE about credit cards or how to handle money. It's possible that he HAS activated these. He has discussed none of this with his parents. We have not seen these cards come through the mail. They both have his name printed on them. I don't care HOW legitimate these companies are. When they prey on teenagers who are clueless, that makes the companies 100% illegitimate.
My two dogs, a foxhound and a cocker spaniel, bark me awake at exactly 6 a.m. to let me know they want to go out and then they bark so I hurry up fixing their breakfast. Then I fix my own breakfast, and they both take a nap.
Wake up, look at stupid gossip blogs in bed, get up and drink coffee, eat breakfast, wander the house and clean up, do hair and makeup, get dressed, walk to work.
This could have been summed up in a single thought - "I was lazy and never used these items enough to justify purchasing them, but keep them if you use them." I really don't know what to say if eliminating a meat mallet or jigger has a significant impact on how you organize your kitchen or your mental state in general.
I like number 4 the most, because that is the one that applies to me frequently. I am usually afraid to start something new because I ask myself "what will people say if they knew?" I have learnt to overlook this question and just go ahead and do the thing I want to do.
I will endeavor to remember that many of my failures are because I did not start something. Thanks for reminding me to start and not procrastinate/not start :)
I wake up two hours or more before I leave the house. I like having my coffee before anyone is up. I have breakfast, get ready, and head to the mall for walking before work. If I miss my walk, my whole day is thrown off.
My morning routine is to get up make coffee, and watch the news and get breakfast and then get out the door to work! I do not seem to have a problem, unless I stay up too late the night before. My morning routine is good if I do not stay up to late.
I get up, have breakfast, and check emails before the kids are up. Each morning I think I should go exercise instead of getting on the computer, but the computer wins every time.
6:20a - alarm goes off
6:25a - shower, dress, pack workout clothes for the afternoon, feed the cat
6:50a - take the dog out for a quick potty break
6:55a - make breakfast, coffee & listen to NPR
7:05a - feed the dog, eat breakfast
7:15a - walk the dog
7:45a - pack lunch, do the dishes, tidy up
8a - commence 30min bike ride to work
I jump out of bed, do my morning brushing teeth, wash face, moisturize routine, then get the kiddos ready for school, pack their lunches, make sure they eat breakfast and drink their milk - then finally I can enjoy my breakfast and coffee! Hubs takes dd1 to school and I take dd2 to school, it helps that we can split it up, so we don't arrive late.
I think smartphones make it easy to waste a lot of mental energy. It's restorative to just have moments of quiet without constantly reading email, surfing the net, or even texting.
My morning routine is basically coffee, shower, pack breakfast, and go to work. I can sometimes get behind since I hate getting out of the warm shower, but I try to be as mindful as possible so I don't waste too much time. I think that is key for me to get through the routine as efficiently as possible.
I am not a morning person at all so I try to do as much as I can before bed. I usually just shower, get dressed, eat breakfast, help my family get ready for the day/school and then leave.
I wake up at 7am, get my son ready for school and make sure my daughter is ready to go drop him off! I cannot skip coffee or I am a zombie in the mornings!
I have a routine where I get up at the same time every morning and for simplicity, I tend to have the same breakfast and all of that. It makes sure I'm on time. Although there are times, such as today when my boyfriend is in town and he doesn't like to get up that early, so I made an exception and got up later. Not completely bad, but it definitely makes me feel more frazzled all day
Many years ago I used to enjoy air travel but that's gradually become more of an ordeal. Now I'm driving for business trips that are less than 500 miles each way. One of the benefits is greater flexibility, there's no charge for making last-minute changes like a side-trip. Plus I'm not into carefully packing suitcases and lugging them around, I just dump stuff I may or may not need into cardboard boxes and slide them into the trunk. Quite a few good places to eat next to freeways, even the average truckstop is better than airline food. Also thanks to today's elevated prices for airline tickets, our company has raised their mileage reimbursement rates so each road trip nets me out a few hundred bucks. Finally with all of the health scares these days, it's much less likely I end up in quarantine.
This may be a bit like sex, some want to take their time and enjoy the ride while others want to quickly get it overwith.
Every morning, I stumble out of bed, shower, brush my teeth, and get ready for the office (well, after getting dressed). My fiance is usually up and out the door before I am, so there's a pot of coffee waiting for my to-go mug. I grab lunch, pack my laptop, grab my gym bag, and out the door I go.
I agree with most but I use my toaster oven and rice cooker all the time. The toaster oven is so much more efficient than using the large oven and the rice cooker you can toss the rice and broth in and forget it.

Wake up, commute, drink coffee, eat breakfast. I'd like to eventually include a workout in the morning.

I cook at home 5 night a week.
