My husband enrolled me in a self-help online program designed strictly for women. The cost was $500US. I am not interested in the program and the website owner is adamantly refusing to return the money. I only viewed the public space of the website (to see if I was interested and was not) and the refund was requested 4 days after he purchased it.
The website did indicate no refunds, however, the website owner and administrator were very aware that this was a gift.
Given that this website teaches integrity, honesty and all other forms of New Age BS, I find this business practice completely out of step with their code of morals. BTW, it is untameyourself.com.
Any suggestions for how I may become somewhat whole again in this whole mess?
Amex blue card preferred allows 6% back on groceries up to $6000 a year. We spend over $12000 a year so I have one and my wife has another account same card. Use one until you hit limit and use the other. Same card allows 3% back at gas stations. Go to someplace like WAWA and buy a visa debit card on your amex card. You get 3% back every time and use the visa card wherever you want. One last thing use the same card to pay bills. We have about $1000 a month in utilities and odd stuff thats $12000 a year at 1% back thats $120 year. or use your WAWA visa gift card to pay bills (a little more trouble but it adds up). Set a reminder on your smart phone to transfer money from checking account over to amex card so it does not add up.
This is absolutely the best collection of these types of websites I have ever seen, and I've read a lot of them. For the last two years I've built a portfolio of work via Elance and oDesk (now Upwork). This has given me the confidence to move on to working independently. Four of the sites you mentioned immediately piqued my interest, and I look forward to work which interests me rather than writing whatever sells for someone else (writing for hire). I linked this article to my new blog post at TheWriteWayOut.com. My writing has enabled me to live a location independent lifestyle for three years now. I'm loving every minute of it and looking forward to bigger and better projects in 2016, thanks, in part, to your article. I even recommended the GirlsLife site to my 13 granddaughter who is a budding writer.
I made progress towards my career goals and moved. I also got to spend more time with family. In 2016, I would like to become more involved in my community.
I too did get this net spend debit card and did not apply for one as you said true do not activate this card. Thanks for your information. This is a scam.
This is the problem with the current food system, spending money on good quality, organic produce is not seen as a priority to most, how can you put a price on health and environment? Sorry but I did NOT find this article useful or inspiring.
Department of Agriculture data. Wholesale pork bellies, the cut of meat used to make bacon slices, touched a five-year low in April and now cost 46% less than a year ago”.
I would love to see a drop in beef prices as well!
The slug trap is an interesting idea. I had used little containers of beer and was catching slugs until a raccoon started drinking all my beer. Hopefully they do not like the taste of Tide.
Interesting discussions. As to the last poster, i wish someone else had commented on his situation as mine is similar. I have read many posts on what is fair and everyone says talk to your better half. Regardless of that discussion it is still hard to know what is fair. I am moving in with my significant other, we make similar salaries and i have no idea what i should be paying. My current rent is 1250$ but used to have a beautiful 2 story that i lived in by myself and my mortgage was 1200$. His house is not as nice and he has a mortgage. He wants me to pay half mortgage, half property tax and half utilities. Is that fair? my name won't be on the mortgage as we plan to buy a new home and his mortgage is relatively low. I think 1500$ is greedy myself but 275$ is too low. Either buy into the equity on the home or sell it and invest equally in a new one. Alternatively maybe the equivalent of what she would be willing to pay on a one-bedroom apt in the area. Or all utilities and half groceries.
I became a member at a yoga studio and started attending classes more often. I saved some money for house improvements, but want to do much better next year. I had a protracted illness and discovered I have celiac disease, which required me to change my diet completely. I've done well at recovering my health, adhering 100% to my gluten free diet and taking the supplements that are helping a lot.
I maxed out my 401k and remained on track with my girls' 529 plans. I contributed the additional amount I planned toward my mortgage. I hope to achieve even more in 2016.

I found a new, better-paying job before the year ended! It's been one and a half years of working hard to get this new job.
I made progress towards my career goals and moved. I also got to spend more time with family. In 2016, I would like to become more involved in my community.

I was able to save a lot of money in 2015 and I will continue to try to carry on the tight budget for 2016 as well.

Kept out of debt and stayed within my budget. Also paid money to lower my son's school loan debt.

Hi Guest,
A drop in prices of pork products for 2015 were forecasted as early as September 2014 by some analysts of the restaurant industry, for an example refer to http://restfinance.com/Restaurant-Finance-Across-America/September-2014/.... For example, bacon prices were expected to fall 15% to 17% in 2015.
Drops in the price of pork products materialized in April and May 2015, please refer to http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2015-05-18/with-bacon-so-cheap-ev... “At the supermarket, bacon has slumped 25% in the past year, to $4.12 a pound this week [May 2015], according to U.S.
Department of Agriculture data. Wholesale pork bellies, the cut of meat used to make bacon slices, touched a five-year low in April and now cost 46% less than a year ago”.

I cleaned out my garage.
Should've been a co applicant. As a co signer they don't factor in your earning power, just hers. Person w great credit should know such things.
I read a book each week!

I reached my goal of drinking 8 glasses of water daily.
#9 I found the USAA home owners policies do not have any dog breed restrictions.
