You're missing the absolute best buys at thrift stores...... I wear a size 50 regular sportcoat. Those are hard to find, but always worth the browse thru the rack. JUst think, if a deceased guy's family donated his wardrobe you could pick up 10 suits for $7 or $10 each, saving almost $1,000 or more. Lots of 'sunday' clothes in the Bible belt, too.
Today I picked up an entire set of Titliest irons, woods, putter, wedges, 2 doz. balls in a golf bag - excellent condition-for a whopping $10.00 all in. (Price new = $2,000).
I also check the medical supply area for used c-pap machines (if you use one, you'll know what it is and how expensive they are ). I've found them for $10-$20. If you have a home/office, fax machines/printers/shredders are $5-$20 and wiring/plugs are practically free. LOVE those thrift stores...
Wells Fargo Minneapolis branch I brought in several hundred dollars worth of rolled coins they made me unwrap every roll and counted with their machine (they helped unwrap the rolls) I bank at Wells Fargo . I never get charged for machine counting but it's best to call if they will accept rolled coins or if they need to be wrapped.
This was a year of firsts for me. My husband and I bought and completely renovated a condo - what a learning experience that was! We'd never renovated anything before but the finished product was well worth all of the challenges we endured! Up until this November, I had also been at a job going on 2 years in which I was completely unhappy for which I discovered I was painfully underpaid. I took a huge leap of faith and left my company of almost 11 years to chase after my dream job....and I got it along with a $23/yr pay raise! Life is very, very good when you set your fears aside just long enough to take a chance on yourself.... I've realized I'm capable of far more than I ever dreamed!
I have been on unemployment in N.Y State for several weeks now. I received notice to return to work in a week. The job is low pay, no benefits, and they require I work nights and weekends ( which I refuse to work). I feel I was not treated fairly when I worked there before and I don't want to be in the same position again. They did and will again reduce my hours of work without notice or explanation etc. Can I legally turn this job down ?
I agree with some of your points others make me feel like you're somebody's tool. For example #2 Coming into work on time and performing your job professionally and going home at quitting time will get you fired?, please... Or #3 looking look for work no body else will do. I've got news for you its called a job description, you know the one that was articulated in the job offer that was sent to you in the mail or via e-mail when hired. Besides, if you have time to go "looking" for other work, you're underemployed or in the wrong job. These two types of tips are contrary to being employed at the right company/position. No company worth a rats ass is going to have an ecosystem that expects their employees to input vast amounts of possibly uncompensated time and or work on tasks that if not being done, there's a good reason for that. My over 35 years of work experience has demonstrated you can do both of the aforementioned tips and be ignored by management.
Always buy used boats. Some people with more money than brains buy a boat and hardly ever use it. You can pick up a used boat for pennies on the dollar.
That's a great tip, William. Thank your for sharing. Effective communicators are often great negotiators as well.
I took my kids to the beach for the first time! Their reactions were pricless! :)

Are you a Powerex shill? By your own review, Tenergy are the best values, but you list them last, and you put Powerex and Eneloop first?

We made the realization that our attitude toward money HAS to change in this coming year!
And I never thought about taking my GARAGE to work !!
The best thing that happened to me in 2015 is that I am still a happy and healthy person.
I got engaged!
I became an auntie!
I got pregnant again.
Finding time to read books again!

Enjoyed my garden and got to share with others.
