I like using mixed frozen vegetables best in things where they're kind of hidden under a sauce -- or a flaky crust, like with the pot pie. I'll also use mixed frozen peppers for quick burritos or in my chili.
My husband and I love going to Washington Capitals games in DC. We're lucky enough to be able to use the military discount (he is in the Air Force) so we can save money. We also make sure to eat before we go to avoid the pricey food options at the stadium.
No - it doesn't work, period. Perhaps it depends on the type of metal on your car, but on my car using dry ice when it was 108° F outside it didn't help at all. I followed the instructions carefully and I made sure the metal got frozen on several different dents - no luck. Unfortunately, I don't think there is a viable home solution - it's best to just take it to the pros (or leave it and collect insurance money like I did).
I really enjoy shopping at Aldi's. They have execellent frozen fish and their frozen shrimp taste like it was just brought in from the gulf!!! The prices on their produce can't be beat.
My husband and I usually just watch basketball, football, and soccer games on TV because tickets and concessions are so expensive, but we've gotten lucky and have been gifted tickets to a Clippers game and two Dodgers games before. When we do get to go, we really enjoy it! We'd definitely go more often if we had more spending money.
I love the picture on this post because I am a UT alum. I don't go to many sporting events anymore but when I was a student at UT I used to go to the football games and a few basketball games.
wish I could learn not to spend frivilously I have taken taken my credit cards and frozen them (literally) using only debt card still have a hard time not buying things I don't really need Getting better everytime I get the need to shop I go to clean out a drawer then I gind I need things to organize the drawers UGH see what I mean
I live in Maine and my family is in FL about 45 min from FT Lauderdale and I LOVE Spirit. I payed $241 for my family (3 seats) to go down just last month. You have to be really flexible but it is well worth it. That included one checked luggage also. If you were able to do it all in a carryon it is even cheaper. The cost of the $9 club pays itself in the first ticket I feel like. Just waiting to find another cheap ticket to head back down! You do have to drive down to Boston but it is also a straight flight so for me with Kids that made a big difference! Hope that helps!
I tend to watch most games on TV but I do go to a few games throughout the season for the local Hockey team. I buy my ticket through ticketmaster exchange and buy resell tickets.
You could also do online shopping through Ebates. They have most major retailers and you get cash rewards. So you can get double rewards for the same purchase.
Neither my husband nor I are sports enthusiasts (of any sport) so we tend not to attend events. However, that has made us popular with friends who have kids because we will play with/watch the kids while our friends go to or watch the game :)
I'd rather watch paint dry. Or grass grow. Or go scrub my toilet. Or pretty much anything else, for that matter, than watch organised sport - especially the overpaid "professionals" who spend more time beating each other up than playing whatever sport they're supposed to be playing.
Some items can be donated to local youth groups i.e. Girl Scouts, 4H etc who use them for community service or craft projects. Paint can be donated to schools and theater groups to be used for sets and props in their plays. Non expired food items can be donated to homeless shelters and food shelves. Homeless shelters and crisis centers may be in need of items as well. Some wildlife rehabilitation programs and animal shelters accept freezer burned meats along with linens and various toys.
Regarding the comment about male-pattern baldness: my husband has been losing his hair since we were in our early 20s, just like his father, his father's 3 brothers, and his paternal grandfather. All of the men on his mother's side have full heads of hair.
I use to go often. I started with college football and pro baseball, eventually added pro hockey. Then I took a good look at how much money my (state) university spent on football compared to what the state (where primary and secondary education ranks very low nationally) spent on education overall and became disgusted with college sports in particular, and all paid sports in general. Now I see it as a big waste of money.
I only go to sporting events when my friends offer their "extra" tickets--they're usually bigger fans and season ticket-holders, which means a free ticket is up for grabs sometimes.
It's a variation on what you've already listed -- but hikes! When I lived in New Hampshire, my dog LOVED stomping through the woods with me.

I occasionally go to sporting events, but not very often. Sometimes we get free tickets from my husband's work, and that is usually when we go.

The only sporting events that we go to are the ones that involved someone we know so that's not many, not often, and not expensive.
My husband's sport interests are golf and auto racing so most sports spectating is done on the TV.

Not really a big enough sports fan to go in person, which adds up to really big savings on tickets for us!

But each to their own.
I don't go to games as tickets are expensive. But I watch on tv.

once in a long while but only when tickets are cheap.
