Gosh if I had an extra $25 I would want to do all ten of these!! Great ideas on making a little money count a lot. I'm addicted to farmers market. They have such fresh products that gives a homemade taste you just can't find in the store. And where can I get a free massage or haircut? That'd be a dream come true! And of course, if I had the extra cash it'd be best to donate it to the people (or animals) that truly need it. Thanks so much for the taughts
I definitely agree that dark jeans are more flattering and versatile, although they don't hold up as well to repeated washings. Unless they've got a stain to be washed out, they should be put in the freezer instead of the washer.
Wow this is an amazing post! I'll admit it, I'm obsessed with my jeans. But they can be so expensive, and with today's economy a great pair that fits me, might not fit my budget! I try to make them last as long as possible, some of my jeans have lasted years. I'm definitely going to be looking for more jeans with spandex, not only is that the current style but I'm sick of ripping holes! Thanks so much for the post
These tips are great! I've always felt like I am a creative person, but some times I just need help getting using it to help me. I always surround myself about people who are inspiring and are creative as well that way I can use my own creativity to good use. Nad I always turn off the tv!! There is no point to even owning one any more. But these tips are very helpful, I am going to keep them in mind when trying to out my creativeness to use. Thanks so much for the post
Thanks for the tips. It's true, everyday life can get in the way of creative efficiency, and we have to fight for that time, which may only be a few minutes each day. I personally find tip #5 to be the most effective, as we can't leave everything to the mind in the hopes that we will remember, because we will eventually forget.
And you won't hurt your credit by checking it yourself through the link above. Seriously...no worries in doing this. Take the time, as you may save yourself some heartache! This is not to get a free credit score, this is just to look at your report.
Since we are entitled to one free credit report from each agency every year, I check mine three times a year. Once with Experian, three months later with TransUnion, and three months later with Equifax. That way I can watch it all year long, clear up any issues with any of the agencies at least once a year and spend $0 out of pocket doing it! =)
I really like the massage idea. I love getting professional massages but its 50-60 bucks each time. Sure they might be a little bit more trained but whatever, a massage feels good either way. I looked on Craigslist and sure enough, there are students who are doing this in my area!
I'm a big fan of the Lee Rider jeans sold at Walmart and K-Mart. I'm working on losing a few extra pounds, so don't want to spend a fortune on jeans. At Walmart, I found a pair of petite Lee jeans that fit terrific for $17. They had far more styles and sizes than I would have expected from Walmart, although some stores have better selection than others.
I check my "score" (Credit Karma) monthly or even weekly sometimes! Whenever it happens to drop (rarely...) or jump up, I do try to make sure I get my free credit report that I'm entitled to every year and just see if there is anything new on there.
A friend of mine and I used to buy the most exotic thing we coudl find in the grocery store, like alligator or shark and figure out the best way to grill it, keeping the total cost under $25.
I am ashamed to say I've never checked my credit outside of making big purchases. I actually didn't realize it was something I should be doing until my husband found out his Social Security Number on his card wasn't his "real" number, so he has zero credit and never knew it until we went to purchase our first house! I have a goal this year of checking all three scores for both of us, and setting up a yearly schedule staggered out to review each.
Philip, your knowledge is priceless. I have been through pages and pages reading all of your replies and I am beyond impressed. That being said, I will not beat around any bush and come forth with it. I need your help...
How do I make 160 proof that tastes like peach?
I have been beating myself up for two months now through trial and error.
I have a 5 gallon water jug and a lot of heart.
I will tell you what I would do. Use 12 pounds of sugar to 4 gallons of water plus turbo yeast, distill, then flavor after? Or before? Are my measurements even correct?

I can't tell you how much this helps me. My daughter is at the age where she wants to spend much more than jeans are worth. You have been a big help.

I check it every six months or if I'm about to apply for credit. I want to make sure I have a clean credit report BEFORE heading in for a loan.

If Publix is in your area, you need to take your $25 there and get $50 worth of food with their Buy 1 Get 1 deals!

These are excellent tips! Thank you so much for the real life reminders and encouragement!

credit period is an illegal scam to begin with in the usa, but then again these days who doesnt really on credit?
I want to try a PB and Chocolate Chip version even if it is less healthy (yes I'm aware it defeats the purpose).

Please help. Thanks.
Maybe twice a year.
I haven't reviewed mine in ages. I would do so 6 months prior to a large purchase but otherwise I really don't see a need to review it.
