its just shows what you can do when you get creative. When you even really explore the nine options you gave, you will actually find more.., We live in an abundant world.
Hi Sonja - I'd like to try your recipe and wonder if you might have a suggestion for replacing the egg whites? I'm allergic to both wheat/gluten and eggs. I'm will to try any substitution you recommend. Thank you!
I've had great experiences with the focus groups I've participated in. The company I did my focus groups with even had evening sessions, so I was able to do a full day of work and get an extra $75 in the early evening.
Hi there i just wanted you folks to know that by wearing a full slip makes your clothes fit better looks nicer and the feel is awsome and fiminine i was tought that when you wear beautyful things under it brings out the beauty in your self witch makes you feel more wonderful and specail feeling rich in beauty you will feel rich in all things it does'nt get any better then that ladies i just don't wear a dress just to wear it i wear it becuse of the beauty of the dress witch makes me feel like a better women Tha Ta
Our version of "Brad" is "John" he fits in most of these columns...with the exception of good looks and being part of the family....he is Rude....obnoxious...talks all day with nothing to say...biggest kiss A** and is hated by pretty much everyone at work except senior management...and continues to get promotions
I love this website and this article but i have to second the opinion that a 'shock' wake-up isn't that good a way to get up from sleep; starting the day cranky is just no good. I set my ringtone to increase its volume gradually, it softens the 'effect' of the loud ringtone.
I haven't had a cell phone for over 2 years now, and don't miss it a bit.
Have a desktop computer for email & Facebook, check them daily and
that is enough.
"What I found is that every single one of them charged more for higher value coupons even though there was absolutely no way that the cutting, shipping and handling of a $7 coupon could be more than the cutting, shipping and handling of a 50 cents coupon."
Value isn't a set idea. It is based on what the consumer is willing to pay for the item. If I feel that someone finding, cutting out, listing, selling and mailing me a seven dollar coupon is worth enought to me, then I will pay what the seller is asking. If I spend the same amount of time writing a piece of music that Mozart spent writing one of his, does that mean that their value is the same? I could spend hours driving around, searching for the seven dollar coupon, or I can pay someone for their work in procuring it. Every coupon can be aquired for free, but if someone is willing to spend their time getting them and selling them, than that is time that can be paid for. You're more than welcome to do it yourself if the legality of paying for someone's time makes you uncomfortable.
www.dealcatcher.com is also good. They often offer deals of the day that can't be beat and are listed by category. www.couponmountain.com is another good one.
TIP-Many stores will accept the coupon code when ordering by phone. They may even give you a code if you ask!!
@ Guest, no, I've been using these sites for years and never gotten a virus from them.
I buy $20 off a $50 purchase from Macy's coupons all the time off of ebay. Macy's doesn't call them coupons, but "rewards" passes. And the person on ebay who sells them explicitly writes on the auction that these "coupons" are free, you are paying for the time to mail them to you. So far I have had LOTS of success buying and using these "rewards" passes. And at $3 a pop, I'm still saving $17 off my purchase of $50 or more.
Purchasing a bundle of "10% off purchase" for Lowe's came in handy for a commercial renovation project. Saved thousands of dollars for a $50 investment.
I think I could go without my cell phone and I have a "smart" phone. We are all so used to being connected and having the ability to do so many things at our fingertips we sometimes neglect other things. Sometimes I intentionally leave it at home for a day to remember what it was like not to constantly be "connected"
In addition to making wine from them, I have heard that dandelion flowers are good battered and fried. (Probably not the most nutritious way to eat anything, but nice every once in a while as a treat.)
Also, I learned while cruising the web a while ago that clover leaves and flowers are edible. (I can't remember about the roots - I think they are also edible, but please confirm that with a reliable site before jumping in!)
I keep threatening to make "yard salad", but so far I haven't followed through...
My husband and I are in our early and mid twenties, we have one child and have been married for almost 4 years. We decided when we got married and go the mobile home route instead of renting, we do still pay minimal lot rent and taxes and insurance, but that only amounts to $295/m. Our original "goal" WAS to live here long enough to build a great credit score by getting credit cards and paying them off, same with car loans. We have had 7 credit cards and 3 car loans, we now have a great credit score and are basically debt free save for one remaining car loan (We've been debt free on and off in our marriage). We didn't make a whole lot of money and we could only purchase a house for about $75k with 20% down from the sale of our mobile home that never sold, so we went off the market. A few months later my husband recently had a huge opportunity and took a new job that pays about 33% more a year, we have decided to bank this extra income and pay cash for a house in 4 years.
I'm sitting here reading some of the comments on this blog thinking house greedy some of you sound. To us, in this economy, it is wayyy worth the piece of mind to not owe anything on a house, just like we live loan free in our mobile home now. Paying cash for a home will take almost all of our cash when that time comes, but like we have in the past, its much easier to get by when you DON'T have credit cards/loans when your in a pinch then getting loans and purchasing everything on credit.
Plus, and maybe I'm wrong here, but if you were one of those who bought during the real estate bubble, and you have a 30 year loan, and nos you need to move, your house has depreciated so now you owe more than your home value. If you had bought your home with cash during that "bubble", yes you would lose money, BUT it would be much easier to sell your home because you don't owe anything to any bank. I know a few people who are in this situation right now. They are stuck because their house is worth say $75,000 when they still owe say $115,000. Had they paid cash, they could cut their loses, sell and walk away.
I watched my parents struggle for years with money, that will not be me and I will not follow the ways of the generations before me. If I don't get a tax deduction because I own my house, so what! It's MINE. Any of the reasons listed here to get a mortgage or no where near the piece of mind knowing you own something, just like we own our modest mobile home.
My Dad is the Duct Tape King! He has been using Duct Tape for as long as I can remember. He would patch anything with it and still does. But the one thing I remember him using it for the most, were for holes in his pockets. My mother didn't darn anything and my dad wouldn't throw away a perfectly good pair of pants just because the pockets had holes in them so he would use the grey duct tape (that was the only color then) and patch up his holes.
It wasn't just my dad, I remember his brother using the same thing for his pocket holes and he lived 1500 miles from my dad. It was scarey back then.
I never sleep well when traveling. The one thing I hadn't thought of was the large binder clip. What a great idea. I hate that opening in the drapes! I've never really thought about continuing my sleep routines when traveling. I've always just accepted that everything is disrupted when traveling.
I'm going away for two week and I plan on using your suggestions! I'm counting on them making this a more pleasurable trip.
I choose not to pay people for their time clipping the coupons. I subscribe to two newspapers every Sunday and figure that two of a great deal is enough for our family of four. I think its neat for people to save money by getting more coupons for a good deal but I personally choose not to do it. I will however spend a half hour searching for promo codes when buying things online.

You have sat at the same desk for 10+ years but have worked for several different companies (i.e. Nynex, Bell atlantic, now Verizon).

Very handy as I am currently trying to find ways to captures insects for science experiment/project.
I could survive without but I'm not sure my family could stand my not having a "leash".
I am definitely a fan of used or gently used items. I have bought many refurbished items as well that have lasted me for many years.
Goodwill, Salvation Army, yard sales garage sales, flea markets and so on are great places to spend less without sacrificing quality,

You have to be kidding. Waste a lot of time digging through garbage and pretend that it's better quality? Get real.
