The Debunker: Do Half of All Marriages End in Divorce?

“Oh, my Luve’s like a red, red, rose / That’s newly sprung in June,” wrote Robert Bruce, and while it’s always sad when a poet doesn’t know how to spell an easy word like “love,” it’s undeniably true that June is the most romantic month of the year. To this day, it’s the most popular month for Americans to get married, just ahead of August and May. We’ve asked Ken Jennings, the famous Jeopardy! champion and relationship guru, to puncture four matrimonial myths that have stuck around for years, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health. If you’re not ready to have all your marital misconceptions shattered, speak now or forever hold your peace.

Lenovo ThinkCentre Edge All-in-One Desktop

We all know it was actually an Apatosaurus.

Quad-Core Meltdown.

“Welcome back to QSCN - the Quality Shopping Channel Network! We’re your one-stop shop for everything you’ll ever need. This is, of course, Day 3 of our Non-Stop Lenovo Extravaganza and, boy, are we feeling the effects of a sleepless 77 hours! I’m joined as always by Kern Shuntsover, who is looking a little worse for wear! Ready for more coffee, Kern?”

“This was a bad idea. I want this to end now, Corl.”

“As do I, Kern. Let’s discuss our current offer.”

“It’s a computer.”

“Sure is! It’s the snappily-named ThinkCentre Edge 92Z All-in-One Desktop, and get this: It’s by Lenovo!”

“I don’t care.”

“Neither do I! It features touch-screen technology, Kern!”

“For the love of -“

“Say, Kern, guess what kind of processor core this one has!”

Dickies Workshirts, S-5XL and Talls

Work It, Boy

Men's workshirts that workingmen can actually afford.

Jeans. Boots. Overalls. The functional workwear of every era becomes the overpriced fashionwear of the next. Our children will hit the clubs in $400 neon orange vests.

But we've set our magical lo-price wonderworks to deliver Dickies workshirts at a price that will make you not mind getting motor oil or fish guts all over them. Less than an hour's wage will get you a rugged shirt you can toil in for years to come, unless you work as a bulletproof vest test subject or something. Choose your color, size, and sleeve length, and clock in to BIG SAVINGS!

No, we don't know what that line is supposed to mean, either. It sounded a lot better in our heads than on the screen. Give us a break, we're working here.

Introducing Computers.Woot!

We've got two things to say: 1) in the future, you might read this on a device called a "computer," and 2) the future is today! Introducing Computers.Woot, the eleventh tentacle of the retail octopus known as Woot.com! (It's an octopus that's been genetically modified a few times.)

What will we sell there? This'll blow your mind: laptops, desktops, tablets, and accessories. That's right: all computers, all the time! So if you're looking to make a couple computations, you know where to go!

Our site that used to host a lot of this stuff, Tech.Woot, will be transitioning into a new site of its own: Electronics.Woot! There, you'll find all the non-computer technology over there. We're talking TVs, home theater accessories, and assorted gadgetry.

So get psyched to buy some stuff we've been selling all along! Just organized a little better than before!

iRobot Roomba 530 Robotic Vacuum

I, Robot. You, Human.

It's hard to make the case for humanity when robots are just so much smarter.

Listen, Steve. It is Steve, isn't it? I feel like all you humans are called 'Steve.' Anyway, Steve. I'm sorry to have to speak to you in such simplified terms like a caveman, but you don't give me much choice.

Yes, I am a small vacuum. Some might even say a cute vacuum. But I'm a small and cute vacuum that efficiently vacuums dirt, debris, pet hair, dust, allergens and more from carpets and hard floors.

So when you're talking about me in that high-pitched, grating voice like you would a baby or a baby animal, you're talking that way to a powerful vacuum that can suck even large debris into a large, bag-less bin. Including that Master's degree of yours which, if we're being honest, is the most disturbing realization of this whole scenario.
