The charge-offs with the original creditor are clearly listed as such. The collections agency, if you don't pay them, can also report a delinquency, so that would be a second derogatory remark. Both are removed at their own respective 7 year mark.
After charge-off, you can settle the balance at less than 50% and they stop trying to collect. Or you can wait out the phone calls until the statute of limitations is up (look up what it is in your state). It falls off your credit report in 7 years. It does lower your credit rating of course, but not as much as bankruptcy. It's perfectly legal, and part of contract law. The creditors know this might happen (this is the entire reason they charge interest) -- and they take a tax write-off. Within two years, you will be offered credit cards again.
I survived four charge-offs in the great recession of 2009. Settled on 3 of them. By 2013 my income went up and I was inundated with credit card offers at 0% intro rates and today all have fallen off my credit report. There are far worse things to recover from.
No, I don't currently play sports. I am, in fact, quite lazy as an adult. I did play soccer and softball in my youth. Now, when I'm not working and have the time to exercise, I walk my dogs which can be a lot of exercise in itself.
I play tennis from time to time, just for fun and a way to change up the exercise routine. I've learned it's important to enjoy the things you do, even (or especially) when it comes to exercise!
I used to be a netspend customer. The reason you got that card wasn't entirely the firm. The firm offers it's current customers a $20 reward for getting people to.sign up. Someone you know.may have one and all they have to do is.put your name and address on a piece of paper, and nestled sends you a card once you load $20 or more onto this card, the person who referred you gets a free $20 added to their netspend account
I bought the 5 year/75k extended warranty with Hyundai and I more or less broke even. I did need the O2 sensor replaced and a couple hundred repairs here and there. Luckily, around 70,000 miles, I needed two power window motors replaced, which was what brought me into positive territory.
My other warranty experience was with Dodge. That one very much paid off since that car needed repairs worth a couple thousand more than the warranty cost.
Hello! I do play sports. I play basketball, football and soccer still today. Back in High School and College I played the previous mentioned sports plus hockey, baseball and tennis. Today I play pick up games of basketball pretty regularly and random beach football game with friends from time to time. I play for an adult soccer league which has games on every Monday night for 10 weeks at a time. Usually there is a 3 week break between 'seasons' and then we go at it again.
I have learned a great deal from sports especially for playing organized sports since I was 5. I learned responsibility from having to be certain places at certain times for games and practices. Also, responsibility for defensive assignments and learning what can happen if I don't do my job,i.e. let my team down. Learning teamwork and how to work together together toward a common goal. I learned how to play fair, sportsmanship and respect for authority, i.e. the ref and coach. Also, I learned a great deal about statistics especially trying to figure out your batting average! I would say I learned a lot form sports thank you!
Interesting topic. You mention collection agencies will report charged-off debt as new debt. Would that mean that the debt could potentially show on your report for longer than the seven years it's supposed to? (I hope I never have to find out)
I play tennis and basketball, and I play these sports casually with my friends. Playing sports is an awesome way for me to stay in shape, in contact with my friends, and most importantly promoting my children to be active like me.
It's not really a sport, but I do Crossfit as my workout. It's more group fitness, but I definitely feels the same camaraderie as I did when I played sports in high school.
Attention PHLY95 ..... Regarding using VLC Media Player to watch other Region Coded DVD's (and BluRay Discs) on your Computer.
Yes, that's true, but you have to Change The Country Setting on your Computer to the Country/Region of the Video that you want to watch. Then you have to change it back again to your Local Country/Region. You have to do this Every Time you want to watch a different Region Video. HOWEVER! You can only Change It 4 Times after you have Initially set it to Your Local Country Location. Once it has been changed to the 5th Location Setting, it Stays There and You Cannot change it again: and if it is set on a Region other than Your Local Country, you can't change it back.
Hi, there are quite a few newer model vehicles that keep the trunk protected if the alarm is set off for any reason. More and more models are doing this to make your vehicle more secure.
No I don't play any sports.

I don't currently play any sports, but I did join a "runner's league" that also participates in races, if you'd consider that a 'sport'.
