I like everything about Thanksgiving meals. The early afternoon meal--turkey, stuffing, gravy, cranberries, green beans, and the rest. Then later in the evening turkey, stuffing and cranberry sandwiches. The second meal is the reason to serve the first meal. Leftovers, yeah!
Mashed potatoes mixed with spinach and a boiled egg on the side is our favorite tasty, fast and frugal meal, even the kids like it! (and they are very picky eaters!)
There is nothing better than yams on Thanksgiving! They are great baked with a little brown sugar and butter. They are a favorite side dish when baked in a casserole with marshmallows melted on top. They are also very economical and packed with nutrients. They are a win/win on all counts!
My favorite Thanksgiving comfort food is cornbread dressing. I found a wonderful vegetarian recipe for it a few years ago, along with a recipe for delicious vegetarian gravy, which is poured over the dressing. It's a bit of work to make, but I really look forward to it each year.
my favorite thanksgiving/comfort food is Banana bread with semisweet choco chips (leave banana chunks) and walnuts. if you substitute the oil for applesauce..equal parts it also has less fat!
Funeral potatoes. The cheesy, crunchy goodness is where it's at.

A soft boiled egg with toasted homemade bread. A meal for 40 cents.
Tuna noodle casserole, just like Mom made when I was eight. Egg noodles, chunk light tuna, cream of mushroom soup, peas ... perfection.
Mine is definitely spaghetti! Super simple and always delicious :)
Has to be bread and potato stuffing. I save the unused bread for weeks and use potatos from my garden. Thanks for the chance.
My family loves cinnamon toast as a frugal, comforting and tasty snack.
A bag of Snyder's of Hanover Honey Mustard Flavor... I try to limit myself to one bag a month. That's how it's frugal! :)

I am most comforted by a nice Snickers with Almonds candy bar, other wise a good meal on Sunday's after church.

My favorite is green bean casserole. My Mom makes it gluten free now and instead of using fried onion strings, she uses Funjuns :)

Shrimp combos...typically couscous, rice, potatoes, stir fry, etc...mixed with pan fried or steamed shrimp and any array of fresh spices.
Love grilled cheese and bacon sandwich on rye bread!
My favorite Thanksgiving dish is pumpkin cheesecake. It's the perfect end to the turkey feast!
Scrambled eggs with a splash of A1 sauce.
I love mashed potatoes. They are cheap and it's so wasy to make!!
