I'm more critical of prices now, since $1.74 and $1.99 are the same number to me ($2.00), and it helps me to recognize when something IS a bargain!
And don't forget that every gas station in America takes it one step further and adds 9/10 of a cent to the price of every gallon. But it works, because nobody ever answers the question 'How much did you pay for gas' with 'Three ninety-nine and nine-tenths per gallon', do they?
Well I know that onion grass is edible. It has sort of rubbery blades, and they are cylindrical in shape they also smell like onions. Though thats probably because they are. These things people domesticated to the large onions we eat today. but don't hesitate to use them in recipes the blades and bulbs can be used.
I had the LG 900G with Net10, and it's a nice phone, but Net10 doesn't offer unlimited data. When you pay $15/month, you get 150 mins but texts are five cents.
I recently moved to Virgin and picked up the Optimus. With the Optimus I'm getting Android 2.2 and the Android Market. The unlimited data/300mins plan is a steal at $25/month. The Optimus is selling for closer to $150 everywhere making it that much of a better deal.
Great post. There are so many uses for old sheets versus just tossing them out! Any sort of fruit collection can benefit from this -- even apple harvesting.
You can also make your own sun shade from an old sheet, just by attaching it to poles or stringing it from your house or trees to block the direct sun rays.
Hey Ashley, you found some good ones! I'm not sure how I feel about the tip in the promotion article regarding not talking salary. I agree you don't want to rub it in other people's face but the more information you have about your work environment the better.
What if you were still earning less than people at your same level, even after your promotion? I think keeping salaries quiet helps the employer but not the employees. Sure it might make some people upset if they find out they're earning less, but maybe they should be upset if they're not being fairly compensated.

And this tip works well for toting kids in the car, too. Putting them under the car seats is a must if you don't want every kind of food crumb mashed into the seats. You can cut little holes for the car seat buckles to poke through.
I have no personal knowledge of the Commuta program, but I believe you should not review a program unless you've tried it yourself. It's terribly unfair to refer to something as a scam just because you have to purchase it at a price. Some people don't have the discipline or the knowledge to do things on their own, are looking for guidance and are willing to pay for it. That doesn't make it a rip-off.
I buy used, and pay in full. A couple years old. And I grind it into mileage heaven, because I travel all over visiting friends and family. It's true, I do secretly hope it gets totaled when it's on the last legs, but I've gotten my money's worth even so (it's never happened) and paid half the price of a new car.
I cut down on laundry earlier this year by making the conscious decision that I would no longer own any white clothes. My white tube socks went to gray. My undies....different colors. No more white dress shirts either. Not only do I save money on bleach and an extra washing machine load of whites, but I'm helping the environment by putting less chlorine out there. I know it's not for everyone, but it works for me!
I have right at 100k of debt, with no mortgage. It's split evenly between credit cards and student loans. I will be free of credit card debt within the next 2 months. At that point, I will have 50k of debt. I have paid that in less than 15 months, on $15/hr. I think the debt snowball is ok, but my way is better. I don't know about this John person, or what he's offering, and I don't care to. Is it possible to get out of that much debt in his allotted time frame? Yes. I don't care what your calculator says. (I'm not financially stupid, I have an MBA in Accounting- for those thinking I'm stupid for having that much credit card debt, I'm stupid for allowing my then wife to manage my money!). I agree with what you say about being careful. Always do it yourself. The calculator doesn't take in some factors that make a big difference. My email is right there if anyone wants to debate this with me.
I absolutely do not agree with not applying online if that is what the company requests. I work for a mid-size company and I handle the HR (among other duties). If I receive a resume that does not include what I request in the ad (job history, cover letter), I automatically recycle that resume, because the applicant obviously can not comply with a specific request. In my field, employees must be detail oriented and follow directions well. If they are unable to do that from the initial contact, they will not be a good fit for the company's needs.

I prefer to buy used cars that are 1-2 years old and then keep the car for about 8-9 more years.
