We don't do a top to bottom cleaning, but there are some things I do every spring, such as a throuough window and blind cleaning on the inside, cleaning the couches and chairs top to bottom, and stuff like that. There's of course the outside cleanup but that's just part of enjoying the spring and summer :)

Flylady.net is awesome for those looking for an easy system to get things decluttered and clean, and then maintain it.
I try to get to the windows in our old house every spring. We have 37 with old style storms. Most times I just get to the first and second floors. It's more tolerable in spurts. We do major yardwork spring and fall. Everything else, is tackled year round as weather permits.
I like the idea of blogging, but to blog for a job you really have to have something to say that is job appropriate. I know I don't. I have a blog, but it's got much more of a personal slant and I could probably never bring it up during an interview with a Fourtune 500. I usually love this site, but I'd like to respectfully disagree; everyone who wants a job shouldn't blog unless they have something unique to say and they have some degree of passion about the subject. Otherwise, the internet will be bogged down by mediocre blogs from people who are just hoping to get ahead...and there are already enough of those out there.

I think we all try to be far too strong and independent nowadays, and that relying on other people for emotional support is looked down on in our society as something weak people do. The truth is, we're social animals by nature, and we need strong relationships with others such as family and friends to live a healthy, fulfilling life.
I like these types of tips and implement the ones that are sensible for me. My challenge/question, what's the best way to day by day save those dollars and pennies that you would have otherwise spent at the coffee bar? Do you put $4 in your money jar when you get home? Do you discipline yourself to put that money into your savings account each week? A good system/habit of saving the 'little' dollars would be helpful.
I've automated so many of the reports I have to do for work using excel. I don't always know the exact formulas that I need to use, but I have always found answers when searching on Google.
Paul I like what you wrote about Witch Hazel and it seems to prove that some herbal remedies are useful. I think that there is some very reliable uses for homeopathic remedies, I hate to liable all of them useless water. I think that is a bit of a stretch. I do believe that there is a lot of fraud and over statements as to the effectiveness of the herbal remedies.
I thank you for your concern that a lot of the information being disseminated is full of crap. It is vital the people considering homeopathic research as completely as possible the benefits that may be possible. I would hate to think that there is a remedy that can help someone and they ignore it because someone told them it is all a farce.
There's a whole lot of comments/complaints from people that have either never used the card, or only used it a few times. I'm been a netspend customer for years after a family member trashed my credit. they've been a lifesaver, and the fees aren't even that bad. I pay $5 a month so I don't have to worry about the fees, and the interest I earn on my savings account (also through netspend) just about takes care of that!
You guys are getting pieces of plastic in the mail with NO personal information besides a name. you need to ACTIVATE the card in order for them to need/ask for your SSN, etc. otherwise they don't have it! my friends and family with "real" bank accounts get that crap in the mail all the time- we would all love to stop getting junk mail, but these places ARE places of business, afterall.
I just can't recommend netspend enough. I read alot of people saying their kids were sent these cards- these are great cards for kids to use, i imagine, because you can turn off overdraft spending.

The cause is usually growth in the money supply faster than growth in the economy, and the result is usually higher prices, but inflation is the money becoming less valuable.
I find it most useful to look at the issue that way because excess growth in the money supply can have very complex results. (For example, in the 1990s and 2000s the result was first a stock market bubble and then a housing bubble, rather than higher consumer prices.) Similarly, rising prices can have causes other than inflation.
I'd also be curious to hear from readers who are currently looking for mutual funds to invest in or have looked in the past -- what has influenced your decisions?
Here's one I came up with years ago for if you have a sore throat: place a small amount of alcohol-based mouthwash in your mouth, tip your head forward so you are looking straight down, pucker your lips, then breath in forcefully through your mouth. While I am not sure exactly why it works, I believe that the alcohol vaporizes and coats your throat.

Right now credit cards are again competing against eachother for new accounts so there is an abundance of cash reward offers on the table. If you're going to play the game stick to $100 plus cash bonuses to make it worth the hassle and (slight) ding you'll incur on your credit score...
I do budgeting, retirement planning, loan analysis, and various financial what-if's, all in Excel. Even if it doesn't do everything dedicated financial software would do, you've done it yourself--you understand the calculations and assumptions much better than if you just entered into a program and clicked calculate.
#1 would have to be not taking the time to create an investment plan at all. I am shocked and saddened at the number of people I come into contact with who have no idea what they are doing investing-wise. Financial education should really start Financial en high-school!

Both websites are helpful and help guide me to valid companies. I just completed one for BestMark and found them to be awesome! Sure it was a little work and time into my survey, but these companies need to know the facts to better improve their service. BestMark assigned me my own scheduler I can call or email about questions or get me signed up for the "good" shops. Something to look into for all the shoppers out there.
