That's exactly what happened to me. When I approached the counter, there were no cars available so they gave me a number to call to make a reservation. As soon as the reservation was made, the guy at the counter told me my car was ready. I couldn't believe it.
For those homebrewers with a CO2 setup with a regulator; there is another way. There's a gadget on the market that is a ball lock setup that screws onto a soda bottle so that you can force carbonate.
Just make your mixture in a soda bottle. Put in in a cold fridge to chill it down. It's best to squeeze out all the air left in the soda bottle. Attach the gadget hooked up to your CO2 to the soda bottle and shake until you don't hear CO2 still being infused into the liquid. I would then let it settle awhile, shake again maybe, let it sit and carefully take the gadget off and put the bottle cap back on.
I have a Roth IRA. It helps to plan for retirement for tax diversification purposes. Tax rates have to go up. I can pay the taxes now when they are lower and not later when they increase.
I was so distracted that you keep a fishbowl of condoms in your *living room* that I couldn't focus on the rest of the article. Questions ran through my mind: Do you host swinger parties with such frequency that you have to keep a bowl out at all times, just in case? Are they more like a bowl of candies for your gusets? Are you in such a rush to use one that you can't be bothered to grab it out of a cupboard? The mind reels!
PS: I went back and reread the piece (minus the condoms) and found some great ideas. I rarely pay retail on anything but I never realized I could get gift cards at a discount. Thanks!
With regard to picking flowers at the park - I hope you mean wildflowers growing on the side. There are landscaping personnel dedicated to maintaining the flowers that you would normally see in the store. Picking these flowers would also be known as stealing.
Also, good tip on car rentals. Once I needed a car last minute at 10 PM in SFO due to a flight cancellation. The agent said they had no cars available. I had to call my business travel agent who booked it for me online, and then I went back to the AVIS counter and proceed to pick up my reserved car. It was the most ridiculous service I've ever encountered.
The milk farms I'm used to in WI the cows are in the pastures all day with a milking in the early morning and again around dinnertime. They are not hooked up to a machine all day. They don't even need to be rounded up. They come into the barn at the right times by themselves. I suggest buying Grade AA milk though, never A.
A Roth IRA certainly wasn't a standard option when I started my retirement savings 4 years ago. However, when a different company bought out the one I worked for, I had to make a choice about my old 401(k). I decided to open a Roth IRA with ING. It's nice to know that all of my eggs aren't in one basket.
Water doesn't come out clean everywhere.. I'm in Florida and it can be anywhere from OK to downright awful. I noticed a significant difference in how I felt when I made the switch from faucet water to water bottles in college.
There are a few items on the list that you can get for free. Check out your library for free books, video games, movies and digital downloads. Our local library allow us to download digital titles for the Nook or Kindle, and audio books for our IPods. This is a great bargain. Also, Pandora radio is free internet radio, that has minimal commercials. There are Pandora apps for smartphones, so you can listen anywhere!
Seriously consider buying a new car, if your present gas-guzzler is giving you grief at the pump. Rates are low and resale value for used cars are high right now. Downsize or get more efficient with a hybrid or diesel.
Use a tight fitting lid with an air lock. The lid should be air tight. the air lock can be bought and made just for this use or a silicone or rubber hose with the end in a bowl of water with a splash of vodka to keep the germs out.
You will see what it is by Googling "air lock beer ferment".
Great insights into the Energy Star appliances. A nice reminder of the simple things that can make a difference. I have a friend that moved into a "green" house two years ago. They use geothermal technology and solar panels. In Utah in the coldest parts of winter he was paying around $8 per month on utilities. There are some amazing options out there.

Another way for freelancers to pay themselves first is to, if you have a certain regular client or gig, always put that check into savings.
Readers, do you have any other approaches to paying yourself first?
You are welcome!

Guest: That is exactly what I was going to write! :oP
Thanks for including our recipe in the list! I can't wait to try some of these desserts.

Yes, I have heard of them!
The library is also a great place to get books, movies, and CDs for free!
Thanks for the inclusion!
I have not only heard of them, but my husband and I each have an IRA and a Roth IRA.

Yes. Since forever, thanks to my Dad. Been contributing since forever too, thanks to having a job and a Dad who taught me these things.

Soaking a washcloth in tea and laying it on the sunburn seemed to help. Ill def do it again if I ever have a bad sunburn like I do now.
The bad thing about ice is it can burn the skin the same way the sun dose so be careful doing this method...
This is not a good idea. Venting outside gets rid of all the moisture in the exhaust. Redirecting it into the house can encourage mold and rot.
I heard of them and I contribute monthly to a regular IRA. I sure wish that I had started sooner.
