Drive 300 miles to meet a man and wife , they were selling a car hauler for $750, I told my husband this price was too low, mans number was from California, wife's number from Texas, long story short we arrived at our destination, man was adamant of where his wife would be, our truck broke down, lucky us, he never responded only to say he was working and his wife would only drive to meeting place, we went to Firestone to get truck fixed, I think we were gonna be robbed , I think God had a plan when we broke down
Great article! Here are a few other tips I have from working down in the trenches as a healthcare attorney:
Price-shop your health insurance and your treatments BEFORE you go in for healthcare. There is a free healthcare blue book just like the automotive blue book for buying cars. Make use of this to determine what prices are reasonable for your location and type of care. Healthcare is a commodity after all. You already shop for electronics, houses, cars, and food - make sure you are doing the same for your healthcare.
We just bailed an old man out of a $1400 per month storage bill that he'd been paying for FIFTEEN YEARS. 15 years! Almost a quarter million dollars, and most of it was empty boxes. We've done well based on what we paid, but the value isn't even close to what he paid to store it.
Sanding is as the very important step you can't forget to get the smooth surface and nice looks. But it seem really tough job because the danger and accidents can happens anytime.
12. They IGNORE the photo (and accompanying post) taken of you IN HOSPITAL DURING THE CHRISTMAS HOLIDAYS but acknowledge everybody else's party / vacation / new coat / whatever.
All the solar lights need batteries that are charged by the sun.
For the AC, what the heck is a cooler pad? And to enjoy the cool breeze it would seem to need a fan to make a breeze?
Just put your toilet paper in a zip lock bag. No contraption needed
Same with blowing up an air mattress. You can blow it up by mouth. Takes a little time but what else have you got to do. Your camping.
- zip ties - for light use
- shower curtain rings - make a Pinterest scarf organizer!
- measuring cups and spoons - I have the Betty Crocker red ones and they've lasted years and years
- plastic storage bins - so many sizes and colors!
- gardening gloves - for light planting, weeding, etc
- gardening trowels, cultivator, shears - really good quality
Things that suck that were not mentioned:
- gardening soil - awful quality
- plastic plates/serving dishes for camping - grilled food melted the pattern off one, not dishwasher safe, so why bother
- solar lights - I came home with a dud and they were all dead the next year
- hanging shower rack - so flimsy and fits next to nothing
- rugs/mats - super thin and they come apart
Great tips for Amazon buys. We always buy diapers and wipes this way. I haven't thought about buying toilet paper so I need to look into that!
I just bought my first paint sprayer and this post gives me so many ideas.

I cool down by taking a quick cold shower!
I spend the hottest part of the day in my basement where it stays nice and cool.
My tip: Rub an ice cube on your pulse points. It seems to give a cooling effect very quickly!
My craft/art studio is in the basement where it is always nice and cool. :)

I give them a LOT of credit, and I've been reading everything I find about how to be successfully frugal.
I live on disability and intend to own a house again one day while I can still enjoy it!
Except, it's NOT eleven dollars an hour they're living on but rather TWENTY-FOUR DOLLARS an hour, which is more than double.
my family goes to the library to cool down
My favorite way to cool down is to go get ice cream with my grandkids.
I sleep with an ice pack!

Drinking lots of cold or ice water. Also, I take a reusable water bottle full of ice water along if you must spend some time outside or in the car.
