In a dry climate, wet a handkerchief and drape it around your neck. The evaporation cools you down.
In a humid climate, drink a lot of cold water and tea, move slowly and wear loose clothing.
We chose to not air condition. In the heat of the day, little activity, iced drinks and the windows wide open so the breeze can come in (enhanced by a fan of course). LOVE summer and enjoy the lazy afternoons after getting up early to tend to the garden in the cool of the day.
I try to spend more time near water (either at the beach or pool). At night, I use window fans to pull the cool air from outside to cool down the house. More natural and cost effective than using the AC!
Now I know why I can't find a good doctor in my town ... there aren't any! Thanks to Castle Connolly I can see that top-rated doctors are just 8 miles from me. Thank you so much for this article! It is just what I needed today.
Good insight. How would you combat "Irrational Exuberance" for an investor that has a hard time conceptually understanding the way markets work? I am faced with that issue all the time and wondered if you have any suggestions.
Don't agree with the article....GPS sucks... I can look at a map and find the best and quickest route and guarantee that I will get there faster first reason, on GPS you are driving blind, you wait for the gps to tell you how far to go and when to turn. Your brain sits there in limbo waiting. Driving today is a hard enough skill, people are getting worse and worse at driving. You want to involve your brain, you want your brain to be the GPS and know how far to go and when to turn.....
Sometimes, I throw my t-shirt into the freezer. If I want the chill to last a little longer, I'll even wet my t-shirt a little bit (warning: must be okay with getting a little wet though)
Great Read! A sure guide to making yourself a victor of the financial woes in life. Large amount of money are wasted because some of us don't do it right. Learn from the experts.
Of all these, Number 5 is the most important one. Remember you are only starting to make it in the real world. You need all the advice you need. Choose a great mentor and learn from him.
Great tips for first time home buyers. They can use this as a reference. I got this bookmarked, so that I have my own reference in the future. Thank you so much for this!
They're customer service is second to none and I've found better bargains on designer shoes I couldn't locate elsewhere in my size many times for FAR LESS, so not so true... Plus, I buy my Life Pak Nano vitamins for less there, than direct from the vendor and they're still in date. OPI polish less than anywhere, premium coconut butter (hard to find), way cheap, so Im a huge fan of Amazon. They deliver FAST and FREE!
Popsicles and a cold compress have helped me a little....I'm 7 months pregnant and have been baking lately.

A bottle to mist myself with works great!
I like swimming in our pool
A cold shower is my favorite way to cool down. Start with the water tepid and progressively make it colder until I'm cool all over.
The pool, AC, and ice cream!
My Cool down tip-Get a spray bottle - fill it with ice cold water and mist!

For Father's Day, I let my husband cook whatever he wanted on the grill. :)
I gave my husband a card, cargo shorts, and cologne.
