Thank you for sharing this common sense advice. It is so important that people are responsible when using credit. At one point I got myself in over $30,000 worth of debt and paid it off using some of the same techniques you mentioned here. Ultimately, I had to get real with myself about my spending and had to stay focused on what was truly important to me...it sure wasn't debt!
Circle Your Way Around in the Kitchen: Always begin on the right side of your stove, then move clockwise around the room. The stove is typically the dirtiest part of the kitchen, so ending with it keeps you from spreading dirt and grease. (First, soak drip pans and knobs in warm soapy water. By the time you've worked your way around, they'll be easier to clean.)
I once took a salaried job, (tired of the insecurities of freelancing), as art director of a small national publication going through a redesign. 80 hour weeks, lousy pay, no overtime, (I was salaried remember), and the financial manager did a bait and switch on the art/photography budget as well as the job description. Migraine city.
I would want to have my Spring cleaning soon. I am hoping to do it on my own. But it is such a big hassle. Can you help me out with cleaning companies that you can recommend?
An old toothbrush works great for cleaing tight areas, lik around faucets. also, after I use a face wipe to remove my makeup, I use it to swipe away toothpaste and stray hairs from the sink.
A couple of times per week, I'll grab a wad of toilet paper and wipe around the sink and counter to get up dirt, make up, and hair. That keeps the sink and counter clean longer.
I'm sorry but I don't think that these are safe. I mean this person just said that it's fine for dogs to eat duct tape which don't tell me is done in the wild all the time.
Baking soda, salt, vinegar or lemon juice, boiling water and a plunger -- Voila ... that's all you need to fix that stubborn clog in your drain. I almost gave up but then I Google searched and found this webpage. Thank you for these tips. It sure worked after several attempts of using those ingredients and the plunger. Then after being persistent, the boiling water and ingredients slid down the pipes and everything worked in harmony with one another. Shortly after, I used the plunger and some arm muscles; the water then quickly drained down the sink like a charm and the problem was solved. If you have a lot of hair, junk or mess down the sink, you need to use more arm power to loosen that blockage with that wonderful plunger you bought and thought you would never use!
I came across this post this morning just after a colleague of mine at Side Gig #1 (I have two!) told me how terrible and exhausted I look!!
I'm guilty of burnout lately, on account of our desire to buy a house, and although I practice a few of these suggestions, I suspect #7 is where my solution lies! There's only so much a body can do... thank you for the reminder!
I love the idea of a lemonade stand!! There are also some holidays coming up.. Around this time you sell related decorations. If is Easter you could sell Easter eggs filled with candy!!
Yes, I have been with Netspend for 2 yrs., I have not had any terrible experience so far with my card. It came to me in the mail also, and a coworker had an account before me. I also referred it to a close friend, and we all enjoy our Netspend accounts, we receive or tax refund and paychecks before anyone else. There is no need to panic, when they send you the card long as you don't activate it, you are not obligated to use their services. With any debit/credit card, there will always be people who will be unsatisfied, and what they are unsatisfied about could be something easy to fix, but instead they get on the internet and complain instead of first trying to fix the issue. I am not one of those people, I have had excellent customer service, and no bad experiences with Netspend as of date.
I signed up for this and took the "test". I think the user experience was very easy and streamlined. I got recommended a card that I don't currently have so I will definitely look into that. The tool seems to be very well done with a lot of bank integrations that will make the experience even easier.
I am the App Developer of Card Select so I am biased but I think that using this Maximizer tool first to pick out the cards that are best for you and then use the Card Select app that tells you at any given moment which of your cards is the best to use (based on how long until you have to pay your bill) could be a winning combination for a savings conscious consumer.

Thank you so much! I've been thinking for a while to buy one for my family. Now it will surely be my guide to choose the best one!

I have read so many tips regarding baking soda and vinegar and I do agree that these ingredients are so effective in cleaning.

I like to clean a little every day. If there is too much of a mess, then it is overwhelming.

I use baking soda as a cleaner.

great post! I am printing this list for my daughter who is setting up her house. Might just make her a gift of this stuff for a belated housewarming.
Great workout list! I love it when I am looking for something and I get all the information I need in one place :)
Using your body weight is just convenient and smart.

I like the art project idea, the bike ride idea, the beach idea.. And a lot of these ideas! This article was very helpful!
Also, could you please add photography? I mean you don't have to, it's just an idea that I think sounds quite fun! :-)
No no no no! Far too much salt for a baby's organs to process. Adults shouldn't have it too often. Be careful what you tell people!
There are so many life hacks to save at the supermarket, it's amazing! Great articles all round...
I just got back from Berlin and didn't think it was that cheap. Krakow was pretty cheap, especially eating at restaurants.

Baking soda and vinegar work wonders!

Shellfish is hard to cook? And safety? You can't boil water?
