A friend of mine owns a business in the wedding industry. She said that when she first started negotiating with customers she was surprised at how very wealthy people negotiated as though they actually had very little money. On the contrary, those that couldn't really afford her services were wiling to pay every cent she was asking. People have money because they keep money.
Great tips, although I'd rather spend than resort to DIY work (I'm quite lazy). It's always best to paint the kitchen white, as long as you have a knack for cleaning up stains. This is so simply because this enables the kitchen to look a bit bigger. And yes, framing the mirror and putting it in the right place helps: it raises aesthetics and would accentuate any cabinet or countertop.
I'm grateful for my health. I'm also grateful for my job! It's not perfect, but I'm thankful to have a full-time job in a fun place that pays the bills.
listen to music. pfft. if you're noise sensitive and there's already too much noise / too much loud around you, last thing you ever want to do is to ADD to the chaos.
As a resident of one of the boroughs of NYC, my friends and I often like going to the free nights at museums (usu. Friday nights). It's a lot of fun. Sometimes, you end up stopping at a diner at the end of the evening, but if you have time before, you can always eat a sandwich or something that you've made, before you leave work (or grab a $1 slice of pizza on the way there - not as healthy, but def. cheap!)
I have had VPI since 2002 for my two dogs. One of them recently had to be euthanized (a degenerative neurological disorder). With him, I spent $4,887.62 in premiums. I submitted $12,461.93 (including a $5,000+ claim for a herniated disc) in claims and was reimbursed $6,069.38 ($2500 of which was the disc). With him, it was worth it, but as I mentioned, I have two dogs. The other has been healthy for the most part, with about $500 dollars in reimbursements (broken leg, broken tooth).
In total, I spent about $9,775.24 in premiums since 2002, about $2,500 less than what I've gotten back. Most of the costs and reimbursements occurred in recent years. In hind site, I might have been better off putting the money into a "pet" account.
This isn't an indictment of VPI. They have been great. Their submission process is streamlined and their customer service has been excellent. In one case they paid me back more than I submitted. It's just looking at it from a financial standpoint, it would have made more sense to save the money than pay premiums. Then again, I never had to deal with a treatable disease, such as cancer.
Honestly, we are working to banish debt we acquired when we had no income for about a year, so most of it would go towards that debt, with a piece of it going towards a celebration dinner. Because you should always celebrate your good fortune!
The hotel trick won't work in the post 911 world (in the US anyway). All rooms must be rented with a gvt ID, no exceptions. So, it would be difficult or impossible to claim extra cash-pay room rentals. Maybe banquet rooms? But still, that would be difficult to do any volume. A couple years ago, I drove 200 miles to a destination. I went to check into my hotel, and realized I forgot my drivers license. No matter how much I tried to talk my way into a 1-night stay (it was late night by now, and I was exhausted)....they wouldn't budge. No hotel would, not even Motel6. I had to turn around and drive home.
Pizza parlors and bars are still good places for the mob to cleanse their money. They still buy all the raw materials (dough, beer, sauce, whatever)....but just throw it out and ring up sales. At a money laundering front "bar"....the owner may buy the cheapest, rotten, expired beer....as many kegs as possible. Then just dump it all, and ring it all up as sales at $5.00 per. That's now clean money. I used to know someone who (I think) did just this, when I was in college. We could never understand how the owner would sell beers for 5 cents each?? Now it makes sense. She was also someone who needed to launder money from another "business"....so she probably rang those 5cent beers up for higher amounts or just claimed there was a $10 cover (which there really wasn't), times the 2,000 people who came through the door each night. I guess good surveillance could ultimately bring down such a scam.....but then, it usually will.
I had the same problem with my lawn getting covered in yellow and brown marks from my dog.
I did some research and tried a few different things, the best thing out there (that I can find) is something called dog rocks.
I was unsure about it working and it took a month or so to see the results, but I'm so happy with the results.
Would recommend them to anyone!
Agree with most except "dated technology," because I've always found a second use for virtually every piece of electronic equipment that I own. Old PC? Install Linux and use it as a home server. Old phone? Use it as an emergency phone. Old cables? Cables in particular are quite robust and tend to be convertible in most instances. You get the point. Great article, thanks.

Yes! That’s definitely a good idea :) I also fall victim to those free events that actually get me spending money!

That's a great example of homonyms that people often miss. Thank you for pointing them out.

For Verizon payment, what did you put in as the zip code? I don't know the zip code for the card because it is not listed.
I'm most grateful for family

Just my two cents.
I would use the Amazon gift card to buy Christmas gifts. And I would let each of my children pick out something "just because"!

I'd use the money for dental bills.
I am grateful for my husband.

I would use it to get a new Laptop for my online classes that I am taking. This computer i am using is very old!
Hi there,
I had the same problem with my lawn getting covered in yellow and brown marks from my dog.
I did some research and tried a few different things, the best thing out there (that I can find) is something called dog rocks.
I was unsure about it working and it took a month or so to see the results, but I'm so happy with the results.
Would recommend them to anyone!
I'm most thankful for my family.
Really? That's funny because about 80% of people on credit karma say the exact same thing
I would put this money in my Amazon account and spend it on items as needed, as well as, birthday and Christmas gifts.
I'd love to get new supplies for my students!
I would use the money for some home repairs
